East Meets West at Iowa Speedway this Weekend

567498153SG025_NASCAR_K_N_PCONCORD, N.C. (July 27, 2016) — Rev Racing gears up to take on “The Fastest Short Track on the Planet” this weekend at Iowa Speedway. The Casey’s General Store 150 will be the 10th of 14 races on the 2016 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East schedule and will be the series’ 14th visit to Iowa Speedway. This weekend’s race will also welcome the NASCAR K&N Pro Series teams from both the East and the West, making this the only combination race of the 2016 season. Coming off of a rough weekend in Loudon, at New Hampshire Motor Speedway, Rev Racing is ready for redemption with the 0.875-mile D-shaped oval track. With three of the four drivers having experience at or on this type of track, Rev aims to advance in the point standings. Collin Cabre (No. 2 UTI/NTI Toyota) – Collin Cabre will head into this weekend ranked 9th in points. This will mark the third trip to Iowa Speedway for Cabre. Cabre and team will aim for a top-5, after a frustrating finish in Loudon due to mechanical issues. Ruben Garcia (No. 6 Special Smiles Toyota) – Ruben Garcia, ranked 11th in points, will head into the weekend with some related-track experience as well, although he has never run at Iowa Speedway. Garcia, who also drives in the Súper Copa TELCEL Series, runs on a track that is almost an exact match to Iowa Speedway in Aguascalientes, Mexico. With this track experience, he and his crew will take advantage of this related seat time as they prepare their strategy for race day. “We are looking forward to Iowa with Ruben,” says Crew Chief Steve Plattenburger. “This track is a lot like Aguascalientes. It will be a little different in how he drives it, concerning the difference in horsepower. We worked on a few things for him; to get through the center of corner better and are hoping for a solid top-10 finish in his first East/West combination race.” J.A. Junior Avila (No. 42 L&M Ethanol Toyota) – Avila, currently 12th in points, hopes to also lock in a top finish at this weekend’s Casey’s General Store 150. Avila, who has run Iowa in the 2014 K&N West/East combination race, is excited to see what he and his team are capable of. Avila, with a 19th place finish in Loudon, is focused on communication and a successful race start position. Ali Kern (No. 4  Max Siegel, Inc. Toyota) – Kern, driver of the Max Siegel, Inc. Toyota, is hoping to bounce back after a tough race at New Hampshire Motor Speedway. Kern, who also faced mechanical issues, struggled to get her laps back after two additional pit stops. Kern is currently 14th in points. Qualifying for the Casey’s General Store 150 will be on Friday, July 29th at 5:00 p.m., followed by the 150-lap race at 8:00 p.m. Follow @RevRacin on Twitter for live race updates.

Rev Racing to Tests Their Skills at Stafford

Concord, NC (June 16, 2016) – Last race, Rev Racing took to Dominion Raceway for the ComServe Wireless 150. While Rev was ready for two top-5 finishes, an accident and track debris generated a different outcome. Collin Cabre, who qualified 8th, worked his way to second place toward the end of the race and had his sights set on a top-5 finish, or even a victory. Following a wreck on lap 137, some debris remained on the track, causing challenges for Cabre. He experienced a flat on the restart around lap 147 and ultimately finished p18. He currently sits 10th place in point standings. Teammate Ruben Garcia Jr. also experienced some track frustration at Dominion. Behind Cabre as Cabre’s tire went out, Garcia was forced to checkup and ended the race in 6th place. Ruben is 12th in points and aims to improve his positioning at Stafford. J.A. Junior Avila started 6th and finished 12th, while Ali Kern started 22nd and moved several spots to finish 15th. “We are showing great potential this year,” said Director of Competition, Jefferson Hodges. “We just have not gotten the finishes we deserve. It is a matter of time before our luck turns around and we start bringing home some wins. As a team, we are excited about traveling to Stafford for the first time. The track has a lot of history and we are ready for the challenge.” Rev Racing will hit the track on Friday, June 17th at 9:15 p.m., for the Stafford 150 at Stafford Motor Speedway. Two-lap qualifying begins at 6:30 p.m. with the Driver Autograph Session following at 7:30 p.m.

Enrique Baca and Maddie Crane Back in Action This Weekend at South Boston

IMG_4250 Concord, NC (June 3, 2016) – Rev Racing and the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series are back in action this weekend at South Boston Speedway for the Late Model Twins 75. For both Rev Racing drivers, “SoBo” is a familiar track where the objective is to improve last race’s results. Enrique Baca gained seat time at South Boston Speedway three weeks ago when the Late Models visited the 4/10 mile oval for the Bojangles 100. The Monterrey, Mexico native finished 11th, falling just short of a top-10 finish. “I am really excited about returning to South Boston. We come back knowing where we need to improve from our last race there and that is definitely an advantage,” Baca said. “Hopefully we have good speed in the car and we are able to top our 11th place finish from three weeks ago.” Teammate Maddie Crane, driver of the Team Indiana Volleyball Toyota Camry, had a solid performance there last month and feels she can improve the results for the team this weekend. “I definitely feel like we learned a lot from our last race at South Boston. We can improve a lot going into this weekend. Hopefully we can be better than we were before,” Crane said. “One of my goals is a top ten – that would be great. We’ll see how it goes.” Two-lap qualifying for the NASCAR Whelen Late Model Twins 75 will be Saturday at 5 p.m. followed by two 75-lap races at 7 p.m. Follow @RevRacin on Twitter for live race updates.

NASCAR Drive for Diversity to Host First National Pit Crew Combine

CjaNYe8W0AAdiFcNASCAR Drive for Diversity to Host First National Pit Crew Combine Top College Athletes, Former NFL Players Compete for Spots with Rev Racing Development Program   DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (May 27, 2016) – Following a national talent search, 18 multicultural and female athletes earned invitations to compete in the first-ever national NASCAR Drive For Diversity® (D4D) Crew Member Development Combine today in Concord, North Carolina. Former college football, basketball, softball and track and field athletes will be evaluated based on a series of fitness, agility and pit crew drills at the NASCAR Research & Development Center. The 10 top-performing participants will be invited to join the NASCAR D4D Crew Member Development Program, operated by Rev Racing, and receive expert training as tire changers, carriers and jackmen, with the goal of gaining fulltime employment with NASCAR national series race teams. “As NASCAR Drive for Diversity continues to grow and benefit from national exposure, we’re seeing more and more athletes want to be involved,” said Jim Cassidy, NASCAR senior vice president of racing operations. “This is a great way to introduce top competitors to NASCAR and provide the opportunity to one day shine in our sport’s biggest events.” Earlier this year, NASCAR and Rev Racing hosted tryouts at six universities spanning coast to coast – from Norfolk State University to San Diego State University – as part of a revamped crew member scouting process. Twelve men and six women hailing from 12 states and one U.S. territory are now one step closer to a career in NASCAR and will look to impress during today’s four-hour skills competition. “We are extremely excited about the continued growth and evolution of the Crew Member Development Program,” said Max Siegel, CEO of Rev Racing. “Our expanded college recruitment and outreach efforts have attracted some of the most talented and promising athletes our program has seen yet.” Most D4D participants begin with no motorsports background and learn to apply athletic prowess from their primary sport to the skills required on NASCAR’s pit road. Joshua Tate, an All-American football player at Clark Atlanta University, recently tried out for the Chicago Bears and is now hoping to go professional in motorsports. Former Norfolk State point guard Brehanna Daniels could follow in the footsteps of Emily Cox, a D4D alum who now pits regularly in the NASCAR XFINITY Series and NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. Jeremy Kimbrough, a former Washington Redskins linebacker, will attempt to join fellow NFL veteran Andre Neblett in the D4D crew member program, which has a 100 percent job placement rate for graduates. Neblett played for the Carolina Panthers and New England Patriots and was accepted to D4D as part of the program’s ongoing open enrollment. There are 35 current and former D4D crew members working in NASCAR, including 23 graduates in the sport’s top series – the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series. In November, Roush Fenway Racing team members Mike Russell and Raphael Diaz became the first D4D graduates to win a national series championship when No. 60 driver Chris Buescher clinched the NASCAR XFINITY Series title. NASCAR D4D pit crew member combine participants include:

The team is headed to Virginia International Raceway (VIR) for Saturday’s Biscuitville 125. The drivers will compete 55 laps on the 2.25-mile North Course of the track, and will be doing live pit stops for the first time this season. Rev Racing strives to duplicate its 2015 VIR victory finish, where last year’s driver of the #42 Toyota Sergio Peña garnered a first place finish for Rev. Collin Cabre (No. 2 UTI/NTI Toyota) – Collin Cabre will head into this weekend ranked 8th in the points. Cabre is the only Rev Racing driver to have competed previously at VIR, where he earned his first top-5 of his KNPSE career. Cabre and team will aim for another top-5, after an impressive 8th place finish at Bristol Motor Speedway. J.A. Junior Avila (No. 42 Brialle Battery  Toyota) – Avila, currently 15th in points, hopes to also lock in a top finish at this weekend’s Biscuitville 125. Ruben Garcia (No. 6 Special Smiles Toyota) – Garcia, who also has a bit of road course experience driving in the NASCAR Mexico Series, hopes to secure a strong run this weekend. Garcia and team are currently sitting 18th in points. Group qualifying for the Bisquitville 125 will be on Saturday, April 30th at 12:00pm, followed by the 55-lap race at 3:45 pm. Ruben Garcia (No. 6 Special Smiles Toyota) – In 2014, Garcia made his debut at Bristol in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Although he did not garner the finish he was looking for, this track time will be instrumental in taming the challenges this oval has to offer. Rev Racing and the Autism Society of East TN team up at Bristol Motor Speedway

JAIROAVILAConcord, NC (Apr. 7, 2016) – Rev Racing will partner with the Autism Society of East TN in honor of Autism Awareness month. With the organization’s presence at the next race, Rev Racing hopes to bring further awareness to this important subject. NASCAR has been a long-time supporter of Autism Speaks, the national organization for the cause. Rev Racing is more than excited to continue to carry out this mission. A group from Autism Society of East TN, including staff, parents and children, will join Rev Drivers at Bristol Motor Speedway on April 16th. Children will meet with Rev Drivers, sign autographs, be up close and personal with the race cars and have opportunities for photographs. Rev Racing will also be presenting a rear bumper cover to the organization, signed by the drivers and crew members. The Speedway will also offer a full schedule of events for fans, including a Kid and Fan Zone, a cornhole tournament, concerts and the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East autograph session beginning at 11 am. “We love partnering with organizations to help bring about awareness and education. The Autism Society of East TN is a very active group that provides incredible support and service to the autistic community in TN,” said Christy Gormal, Rev Racing’s Chief Marketing Officer.” Rev Racing is an organization that strongly believes in providing opportunities for everyone. Being able to expose these children and their families to opportunities in the racing industry is exciting for us and hopefully inspiring to them.” Driver of the #42 Braille Battery Toyota, Jairo Avila, Jr. (J.A.) is especially excited about this opportunity. As an advocate, J.A. makes an effort to inspire kids to be anything they want if they put their heart and minds to it. “Rev Racing has added a platform for me to better reach and work with kids of different backgrounds,” said Avila. “I can’t wait to have this organization join us and hopefully inspire families to achieve their goals – no matter what they might be.” Both groups welcome these partnerships, as exposure and education assist in advancements for causes everyday. “The timing for this event could not be more perfect as we just launched our new East TN Autism Social Scene,” said Melissa Keeler, Board Member of Autism Society of East TN. “This group is dedicated to building a community that empowers those affected by autism through educational, social and supportive services. We are extremely excited for the opportunity to work with Rev Racing and believe this is an awesome platform to bring awareness to the community.” Autism is a complex neurobiological disorder that typically lasts throughout a person’s lifetime. It is part of a group of pervasive developmental disorders known as Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) that significantly affect how a person perceives the world, interacts with others, and communicates. It is estimated that as many as 1 out of every 68 children born today will be diagnosed with some form of ASD. “It’s a privilege to be a part of Autism Awareness Month in this way and to provide this opportunity to families and children through Rev Racing,” said Gormal. “It will be a special race. I hope we can continue to be an avenue for exposure to racing and young people who are fulfilling their goals, like our drivers.” The 125-lap PittLite 125 will begin 4:30pm on April 16th. Rev Racing Returns to Greenville

CddOhX0UkAARNFL

Hoping for clearer skies than those in Mobile, Rev Racing heads south to Greenville, SC to compete in the Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 150 this weekend.

This is the 15th time the series will travel to Greenville Pickens Speedway and a familiar visit for Rev Racing. Rev alum Darrell ‘Bubba’ Wallace Jr. is the only driver to ever have two wins at Greenville. The 2016-2017 Rev Racing driver class is looking to add another victory to its roster.

After a 15th place finish at Greenville last year, Collin Cabre returns determined on a strong finish. After starting P9 and sitting in 2nd for majority of the last series race, a late-in-the-race blowout of his front tire caused Cabre to veer off the track and unable to continue. The #2 UTI/NTI Toyota driver ultimately finished 22nd in Mobile. Currently 12th in points this season, Cabre is hoping to bounce back and secure a top-10 this weekend.

Driver of the #4 Max Siegel, Inc. Toyota, Ali Kern, sat in the top-10 toward the end of the race at Mobile after starting P21. Through a solid race of multiple cautions and restarts, Kern lost position on a late restart and took the checkered in 13th position. After closing in on her first top-10 win of the season in Mobile, Kern aims to complete the feat in Greenville. She is currently 14th in points.

After starting P17, Jairo Avila Jr. advanced throughout the race in Mobile eventually finishing P15. Avila Jr. is currently 17th in points. Continuing to finish higher each race, the #42 Rev Racing Toyota driver will head to Greenville with what proves to be a promising effort.

#6 Special Smiles Toyota driver Ruben Garcia Jr. also heads back ready to advance after a P18 finish last race. In and out of the top-15 at Mobile, Garcia Jr. continues to make strides on the track. Building on improved communication with his crew chief, the team looks forward to Greenville. Garcia Jr. is 19th in the standings.

The Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 150 will begin 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Rev Racing Makes Way to Mobile

CckSGpKXIAEdNzIRev Racing returns to the track for the second race of the season this Saturday, March 12 for the Mobile 150. After testing there last weekend, the 1/2 mile oval welcomes back Rev’s K&N Drivers, Collin Cabre, Ali Kern, Ruben Garcia and Jairo Avila, Jr. Continuing from last season in the #2 UTI/NTI Toyota, Cabre finished p11 in New Smyrna. After holding a top-10 position for the majority in the season debut, Cabre aims for a top finish this weekend. Finishing p20, 21, and p23 respectively, Ali Kern, Ruben Garcia and Jairo Avila Jr. are looking to make strides this weekend in their second race with Rev. Driver of the #4 MSI Toyota, Ali Kern gained position throughout the last race, finishing 5 positions above her qualifying effort. Manning the #6 NTI/Special Smiles Toyota, Garcia followed shortly behind after a consistent effort. Qualifying in the top 10 in New Smryna, Avila hopes to again start high and finish strong in the #42 Brialle Battery Toyota. The Mobile 150 starts 2PM CST on Saturday.

New Driver Added to the NASCAR Drive for Diversity 2016 Roster

586672965TW00493_NASCAR_Dri Madeline Crane, an 18-year-old Meansville, Georgia native, has joined this season’s NASCAR Drive for Diversity roster. Crane will drive for Rev Racing in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series. Crane was named the first alternate after her performance in the October combine. She will make her debut with Rev Racing in place of Juan Garcia, who will pursue opportunities in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West. Crane started racing Bandoleros at 10-years-old in the Thursday Night Thunder Series at Atlanta Motor Speedway. She finished her first season strong with two consecutive wins. She quickly moved into Legend cars, and by the time she was 14 she had already garnered 59 top-5 finishes in just 82 starts, and finished the year as the Pro Division Winter Flurry Champion. At the age of 15, she again moved up and started racing Crate Late Models at Dixie Speedway. After another strong year, Crane finished her first season second in points. From there, she focused on driving Super Late Models. “We are excited to have Maddie join our program,” said Max Siegel, Rev Racing team owner. “Crane has continued to show growth year-after-year during her combine evaluation. We are ready to get her in the car and prepared for the season ahead.” Crane, along with her teammate Enrique Baca, will hit the track on Saturday, March 19th at Hickory Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series season opener for Rev Racing.

Gettin’ Loose, A blog series from Rev Racing Crew Members, Drivers & Leadership

gettin Loose SHOP TALK BY MATT BUCHER Big news on the Rev Racing home front! No, my proposal for Fridays being strictly for golf and beers hasn’t passed. And no, no new sponsors were signed – which is unfortunate. Someone should really consider becoming a 2016 sponsor, so I can shamelessly plug you and your business. On a high note, after a brief meeting and consultation, a handshake agreement was made between upper management and a new driver. The driver of an older model, yet shiny Roach Coach (food truck for those of you not familiar with the term). Since we really enjoy our snacks around here, this is very big news. Let’s just say that shop morale really picks up around 10:15 am every morning. Other than that bombshell, it’s been all business in the shop. Each of our drivers did a very good job at bringing their respective cars home in one piece from New Smyrna. That is a very big deal for Rev Racing and owner, Max Siegel. We can actually focus our efforts on fine tuning and making our cars better, rather than fixing and rebuilding everything. This past weekend we traveled to Mobile, AL for some pre-race testing. This is a great opportunity to further prepare the cars and the drivers for the race. We will head back to Mobile, this Thursday, for the NASCAR K&N Series Mobile 150. The race is set for March 12th at 2:00 pm. Here we come, Mobile!

Gettin’ Loose, A blog series from Rev Racing Crew Members, Drivers & Leadership

gettin Loose A LITTLE PILLOW TALK – Daytona at a glance
As much time as a crew and race team spends at the track, we equally spend as much time in hotels, local restaurants/bars and tourist attractions as we journey through the season. From the changes in climate to a must-visit Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives location, we enjoy, conquer and leave our mark in almost every race market we visit.  Our trip to Daytona was no different.
Coming to Florida in February is generally a welcomed change from the 30 degree days in NC, but as we head home from the season opener, I 95 north was equally as welcoming. The way our crew driver Morris is driving, this won’t be a long trip. I think he might have got the interstate marker and the speed limit signs mixed up. As I reflect on my time in Daytona, I’m ready to get home, rest up for the week and sleep in my own bed.
Speaking of sleeping on the road, race team budgets have brought some interesting accommodation experiences along the way. Have you ever slept in a hotel on pillows that are not full-grown human size? I arrived to Daytona to a room that had three throw pillows. I thought perhaps, they were in the closet, I was wrong. I stacked them, repositioned them and finally gave up. If you’re in Daytona and staying beachside, be prepared. Do yourself a favor and bring your own pillow or a cinder block – either one is a better alternative.
The bed/pillow combo might not have been the greatest, but Aunt Catfish’s on the River and The Deck Down Under did not disappoint on the food end. Both places have some awesome seafood and extremely cold beverages to wash it down with, so that’s a win-win. If you follow this blog, you’ll soon recognize that we love to race, but we also love to eat. Keep up with us to read our reviews.
Now, on to the races. Our season opener was not exactly what we all wanted, but we all recognized the drivers and crew combinations are an excellent foundation for a successful year to come. It’s always tough leaving the race track and not getting the finishes that you want or the finishes you believe you deserve, but ‘That’s Racin’ as they say. The only team that is happy leaving is the one taking the trophy with them. We all are headed in a direction where we will be that team very soon, so I think that’s something all of us can be proud of. We bring four cars to the track with four separate groups of guys to work on them, but when one of us has a problem we all have a problem, and if one of has a good run we all have a good run. Together, as a team, we all ran a solid race.
Next on the schedule is Mobile, Alabama on March 12th. A track test is scheduled on the 5th so we will actually be there to get our drivers some additional seat time prior to race day.
Sponsor Plug: BTW, our new7000 Watt Eu Series Honda Generator ran flawlessly this weekend. And a big shout out to Kelly @ImpactbyMCS, we got a ton of compliments on the driver and crew uniforms. Thanks for helping us look the part, even if sometimes we don’t act like it. Till the next time.

Gettin’ Loose, A blog series from Rev Racing Crew Members, Drivers & Leadership

gettin Loose OFF SEASON AT A GLANCE, From Crossbows to Chassis Do you ever wonder what a race team does between the last race of a season and the first race of the next? The answer is, there is no off season. As soon as the checkered flag flies from the last race, we are already thinking about and working on next season’s strategies. I am sure anyone in a sports-relating industry will claim they work tirelessly to improve performance year-round, but what exactly does that mean? Stick with me, as I walk you through a journey of the off season, race prep and the nitty-gritty of the Rev Racing pit crew team. Each team in the racing business handles their “off season” quite differently. Whether it be building off of momentum from the previous season or starting over with fresh faces, the goal is to continue to find those sparks that ignite. This year, at Rev Racing, we get to do a little bit of both. We have one returning driver, Collin Cabre, that collected a win in his last race and a group of four very talented newcomers. These new drivers are from all over the country and world. Ruben Garcia Jr., the NASCAR Mexico Series Champion, comes from Mexico City, Mexico. Ali Kern comes from Fremont, Ohio. J.A. Junior Avila comes from Alhambra, California and Enrique Baca from Monterrey, Mexico. Accompanying these new drivers, we’ve also added some new crew and car chiefs, all with very versatile skill sets. Our program is unique; we must collaborate and strategize communication and processes with drivers from different driving series and different ethnic backgrounds. If we can’t communicate properly, we can’t put a car on the track. At the end of the day, we all love what we do, and speaking the same language of racing just comes naturally. I can honestly say, all of our drivers will be in very good hands this year. “So, you guys just fix the dents from the last race, clean the cars and sweep the floors and you’re ready for next year, right?” If only that were the case. From the physical side of things, the first order of business this year was to clean up the mess in our shop that 17 grown men can create over the course of a season. Scary thought, I know. There also may or may not have been a few fireworks shot off, a 1990 big screen TV destroyed by the fork lift and a crossbow sighted in the process. We worked day-after-day to get tools and equipment organized and cleaned. The floors were polished, lists were made and walls were painted. All in an effort to make our race team not only function, but look better. Finally, our shop was ready for the the white glove evaluation. Next, we do a little grocery shopping. I don’t mean food, even though I am pretty hungry. This process involves our inventory. We check to see what we need, and place orders for the season to come. We stock the shelves and talk with partners about new product launches and promotions. Now, on to the most important thing, the cars. A makeover and a diet were in order for every car. Bodies were mounted, chassis were fixed, and new parts were installed (the guys at the shop however skipped out on the makeover and diet thing). As we loaded up to head to New Smyrna I can honestly say this is the most prepared we had ever been. All of the efforts made during this off season were directed toward making sure we represent our sponsors, our fans, our owner and ourselves in the best and most competitive way possible. All that’s left is to go racing. Post by the No. 2 Car Crew Chief, Matt Bucher matt

Rev Racing Announces 2016 Youth Legend Drivers

legend             Concord, NC (Feb. 16, 2016) Each year Rev Racing seeks to obtain the highest quality applicants representing diverse backgrounds and develop them into successful NASCAR drivers. Started by Max Siegel in 2009, Rev Racing also manages a youth racing initiative for kids 8-14 who want to compete in the INEX Bandolero and INEX Legend cars. Youth applicants are evaluated by submission and invited to participate in a driver combine. Due to inclement weather, the 2016 drivers were unable to be assessed using the traditional method. Through a several week evaluation process, youth drivers were chosen by recommendation, historical success, and overall driving performance.  “As it remains a goal of ours to focus on the growth and development of both our academy-style program and youth participants, we want to connect with these drivers as early as possible,” said Max Siegel, owner of Rev Racing. “The sooner we can start providing the proper guidance to these individuals, the more prepared they are to grow into different series.” This year, Rev Racing will offer a Legend Car ride to returning youth driver Austin Geer and new-comer Hailie Deegan. Geer returns for his third season as the youngest member of the Rev Racing team. Geer was the recipient of the NASCAR Young Racer Award in 2014. During the 2015 season he scored two Top 3s and five Top 5s for the Rev Racing team. Austin spent his 13th birthday testing a Legend Car preparing for his move up to the bigger, faster cars. In his first Legends race in December at the Charlotte 5th mile, Austin scored a Top-10 finish. During the Winter break Austin has been training on racing simulators to help prepare him as he has his eyes set on Rookie of the Year honors in the Legends series. Geer one day wants to see his name among notable alumni Kyle Larson, Daniel Suarez, and Darrell Wallace Jr. Hailie Deegan, daughter of famed X Games and off road phenomenon racer Brian Deegan, has been racing since she was eight years old – and has found success from the start. At just 13 years old, Deegan competed on the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series in the Modified Kart class. She was the first female to the podium, taking first place at Glen Helen Raceway. A few short weeks later, Deegan again found her way to the podium, this time scoring a third place finish at Lake Elsinore. In 2015, Deegan collected a series Regional Championship, seven Regional podium finishes and five Mod Class National series podium finishes. Deegan has since found her way to other racing series, committing to each opportunity and aggressively looking for the next chance to take the track. Both drivers will compete in the 2016 Summer Shootout, located in Charlotte NC.
