Rev Racing to Compete at Salem Speedway
July 24, 2024
Concord, NC – Rev Racing’s Andres Perez de Lara and Lavar Scott are to compete in the Salem ARCA 200. The 11th event of the season is scheduled for this Saturday, July 27th, at Salem Speedway.
Perez is coming off his season-best finish after securing P.2, seizing the position in the last restart of the race, at Indianapolis Raceway Park(IRP). Perez continues to lead the field in the ARCA point standings and is looking to solidify his position with a win.
Piloting the No.2 Max Siegel Inc. Chevrolet, Perez competed at Salem Speedway last season in the 2023 ARCA Menards Series (AMS). Last season, Perez qualified 5th and finished 2nd. “We are consistent and getting closer to winning,” said Perez. “At IRP we had our best finish this season and last year we had a good showing at Salem. I’m confident we have a win coming for the No.2 team.”
Scott is also coming off an impressive showing at IRP. Scott qualified second and led the first 40 laps of the race, ultimately finishing 4th. This will be Scott’s first visit to Salem Speedway and after his showing at IRP, remains just 1 point from placing the No.6 Max Siegel Inc. Chevrolet 2nd in the standings, just behind his Rev Racing teammate.
“We’ve had a good couple of weeks,” said Scott. “I secured a career-best finish and then led 40 laps last week at IRP. I am ready to race on a new short track and continue to push until we have both Rev entries at the top of the standings.”
The Salem ARCA 200 is scheduled for this Saturday, July 27th. Practice is set for 3:45 PM ET followed by qualifying at 5:15 PM ET. The start of the 200-lap race will be at 8:10 PM ET. The event will be live on FS1, MRN, and Rev Racing’s social media channels.
