October 30, 2024

As the weekend approaches, Sanchez is currently 8th in the NCTS standings, trailing the leader by 70 points and just 43 points shy of the cutoff line. Last week at Homestead-Miami Speedway, Sanchez was running in 2nd place when unfortunately, the No.2 Gainbridge Chevrolet ran out of gas on the last-lap, resulting in a 13th place finish. With the stakes high at Martinsville, Sanchez knows he must secure a win to guarantee his spot in the Championship 4 at Phoenix Raceway.

Last season at Martinsville, Sanchez finished 11th. However, earlier this year during the first visit to the track in the NCTS, he qualified 5th and achieved a 4th place finish. “The pressure is definitely on as we head into this weekend,” Sanchez stated. “It’s a must-win situation, and that’s the plan.”

The race, consisting of 200 laps over 105 miles, will kick off this Friday at 6:00 PM ET. Practice is set for 1:30 PM ET, followed by qualifying at 2:05 PM ET. This event will coincide with the NASCAR Xfinity Series and will be broadcast live on FS1, MRN, and Rev Racing’s social media channels.

Sanchez is focused on securing a spot in the championship four and is currently sitting 7th in the standings, just 45 points behind the leader. Homestead-Miami Speedway is particularly significant for Sanchez, as it serves as his home track. He previously raced here in the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series, qualifying 11th and finishing 25th. In the 2023 NCTS, Sanchez secured his 4th pole position of the season at Homestead-Miami and led 5 laps, however, a late-race incident ultimately led to a 17th-place finish. “It’s always exciting to return to my home track,” said Sanchez. “Superspeedways have treated us well this season, and we’re still in the hunt for points. Given our history here, I think we have a strong chance to close the gap.”

The 134-lap, 201-mile race will kick off with practice on Friday, October 25th, at 2:35 PM ET, followed by qualifying at 3:05 PM ET. The race itself, held in conjunction with the NASCAR Cup and Xfinity Series, is scheduled to start at 12:00 PM ET on Saturday, October 26th. Fans can catch the entire race live on FS1, MRN, and Rev Racing’s social media channels.

Concord, NCNASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) driver Nick Sanchez is returning to his hometown of Miami, Florida, this coming weekend to compete in the NASCAR Playoffs at Homestead-Miami Speedway. Sanchez will pilot the No. 2 Gainbridge Chevrolet, with Rev Racing, at the Baptist Health 200 on Saturday, October 26.

Racing back where it all began, Sanchez strives to secure a spot in the NCTS Championship Four in Phoenix. With only two races left—Homestead-Miami and Martinsville Speedway—every point counts in his playoff quest.

Sanchez, a Cuban-American, has driven for Rev Racing for six seasons. Rev Racing is the competition arm of NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity Program. It serves as the NASCAR-supported racing team charged with developing drivers and pit crew members from diverse backgrounds and experiences in the NASCAR development series for future competition at NASCAR’s highest levels.

Img 2320Sanchez’s passion for racing started when he was five years old and attended his first NASCAR truck race at Homestead-Miami Speedway. By the age of 12, he was karting in his Miami community. Since then, he has raced in the ARCA East Series, and the ARCA National Series, where he secured the 2022 championship, and is now in his second season in the NCTS. Sanchez recently announced he will drive the No. 48 Chevrolet for Big Machine Racing in the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series. Sanchez is currently sitting 7th in the NCTS point standings and is determined to find his way to the Championship Finals in Phoenix, AZ in early November. “Racing at the track where I saw my first race is a full-circle moment for me,” said Sanchez. “Coming home always boosts my confidence, and I believe we’re going to perform well.”

In his second NCTS season, Sanchez has already celebrated two victories, two pole positions, nine top 5s, and 12 top 10s. He started on the pole at Homestead-Miami in 2023 and is aiming to continue that tradition on Friday, October 25th with qualifying set for 3:05 pm ET. The green flag will drop at noon ET on Saturday.

Sanchez will also connect with his family, friends, and local Miami fans at a special meet-and-greet opportunity before Saturday’s race. Fans may purchase this special ticket package that includes a reserved grandstand ticket for Saturday’s Doubleheader race, the meet & greet, and a custom Nick Sanchez Hero Card on Homestead-Miami Speedway’s website at https://www.homesteadmiamispeedway.com/special-offers/

Concord, NC – After an impressive 20-race season, Andres Perez de Lara has made history by becoming the first ARCA Menards Series (AMS) Driver Champion from Mexico. Heading into the Toledo race, Perez held a 35-point lead over his Rev Racing teammate, Lavar Scott.

Before the field had completed lap 1 at Toledo Speedway, Mexican-born driver Perez clinched the 2024 ARCA Menards Series Championship. The title is the second for Rev Racing in three years. Perez battled for the lead at the beginning of the race, leading a few laps, but eventually ended in 6th place after experiencing some race-related incidents. Teammate Lavar Scott finished 5th.

Driving the No. 2 Max Siegel Inc. Chevrolet, Perez’s 2024 AMS season got off to a rocky start at Daytona International Raceway. However, he quickly rebounded, finishing outside the top 10 only twice throughout the season and consistently placing within the top 5 in more than half of the races. Notably, he achieved runner-up finishes at Indianapolis Raceway Park, Salem Speedway, and Michigan International Raceway, where he also secured the pole position. Perez additionally claimed the pole at Charlotte Motor Speedway, Rev Racing’s home track.

As he concludes his third year with Rev Racing, Perez reflects on his journey, which began in the US Legends Car Series before advancing to the AMS, where he finished 2nd in points during his rookie season (2023). “I am incredibly proud of this entire team and grateful for the opportunities that Rev Racing, NASCAR Drive for Diversity, and Max Siegel have provided me,” said Perez. “I have gained invaluable experience not only this season but throughout my three years at Rev. Thank you to my crew chief Glenn Parker and the entire No.2 team. It has been a great year. Despite not achieving the win today, we gave it all we had.” Perez, hailing from Mexico City, Mexico, has a track record beyond the US series. In 2020, Perez earned the NASCAR Trucks Mexico Championship, in 2022 the NASCAR Mexico Challenge Championship, and in 2023 became the NASCAR Mexico Rookie of the Year.

Perez now joins the ranks of fellow Rev Racing alumni Kyle Larson and Nick Sanchez as a series champion.
