Concord, NC — Rev Racing returns to action this Friday at Charlotte Motor Speedway for the General Tire 150. Teammates Nick Sanchez and Rajah Caruth who finished 1st and 2nd respectively at Kansas Speedway, aim to extend their ARCA Menard Series(AMS) lead this week. The team’s performance in Kansas delivered owner Max Siegel his first-ever AMS 1-2 finish.

Sanchez became the first driver with multiple AMS victories in 2022, by winning at Talladega Superspeedway and Kansas Speedway. Sanchez’s strong drive in Kansas also earned him the Reese’s “Sweet Move of the Race” by slipping past teammate Caruth and a pair of lapped cars. Capitalizing on his season trajectory, Sanchez is focused on achieving optimal performance in Charlotte and beyond. Sanchez will pilot the No. 2 Max Siegel Chevrolet on the 1.5-mile paved oval.

Sanchez will also be competing in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) this Saturday, May 28, with BJ McLeod Motorsports. Sanchez, in an announcement last week, expanded his NXS participation with the addition of six races for the remainder of 2022 in conjunction with his AMS schedule. “I’m going to have to make sure I’m ready both physically and mentally for the Xfinity race, but the goal for each race is the same,” said Sanchez. “I’m always ready and I prepare myself to achieve the best performance on the track.”

Teammate Caruth will pilot the No. 6 Winston Salem State University (WSSU) Chevrolet this weekend at Charlotte Motor Speedway. WSSU is a new partnership alignment for Caruth, where he is currently a student in the Motorsports Management Program. Caruth will also run six NXS races with Alpha Prime Racing in the 2022 season in conjunction with his full-time AMS schedule.

Caruth continues to demonstrate his consistency this season with his second top 5 finish, adding to the top 10 finish he earned at Talladega Speedway. His performance in Kansas set a new career-best race finish. “After the leader’s wreck we were in a good position for those top finishes,” said Caruth when talking about the 1-2 outcome. Caruth leads the AMS series with an average 5.75 race finish this season. Caruth, along with Daniel Dye, are the only drivers to complete all possible 402 laps so far this season.

Caruth feels he is prepared for the team’s home race in Charlotte. “I’m ready and want to perform adequately.” It will be exciting for both Sanchez and Caruth who will be together again at Rev Racing’s home track as they continue contending for the 2022 AMS Champion season title.

Rev Racing is the competition arm of NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity Program and serves as the NASCAR-supported racing team charged with developing female and minority drivers and pit crew members in the NASCAR development series for future competition at the highest levels. Rev Racing continues to put mission into action, as both of its top-level drivers are showing growth and advancement into the next stage of their careers.

The ARCA race at Charlotte Motor Speedway will take place Friday, May 27, at 6 p.m. ET. Live TV coverage of the race will be provided by FS1. The race will also be covered on the FOX Sports app, a live radio broadcast will be on MRN/Sirius XM (XM channel 391, online channel 981), and at ARCARacing.com.

Building on momentum, Rev Racing looks for continued success in Kansas

Concord, NC — Rev Racing returns to action this Saturday at Kansas Speedway, in the fourth ARCA Menards Series(AMS) event of the season. Building off early-season momentum, both Rajah Caruth and Nick Sanchez are anticipating successful outcomes in this weekend’s Dutch Boy 150 and beyond.

There is no denying that Chevrolet drivers, Caruth and Sanchez, have proved they are major contenders for the 2022 AMS Championship season title. According to ARCA’s most recent Pit Box review, “The top two drivers in the AMS standings are Rev Racing teammates Rajah Caruth and Nick Sanchez.” Sanchez is coming off of his first 2022 win at Talladega Speedway, and second career AMS win. Caruth, although still looking to earn his first AMS trip to victory lane, currently leads Sanchez by a four-point delta in the standings.

For the first time in his racing career, Caruth will enter this weekend’s event as the AMS leader. Caruth also made history post-Talladega, as the first African-American driver to lead the point standings in the AMS history.

“Being the points leader is a pretty cool feat,” said Rajah Caruth. “Although it’s still very early in the season, it’s just a preview of what both this #6 Chevrolet team and I are capable of. To be the first Black driver to lead the Series in points is a true honor and I hope to continue to be a good representative for those that look like me both nationally and globally.”

Sanchez is no stranger to Kansas Speedway, having earned his first ARCA Menards Series win and trip to victory lane in the 2021 season finale. This will be his third trip to Kansas competing on the 1.5-mile paved oval and is eager to build off his momentum from Talladega.

“Each race presents the same goal for me,” said Sanchez. “No matter what track we’re on, I treat every track the same in terms of preparation. Rev excels at 1.5-mile tracks, so we are in a good position to capitalize and hopefully find ourselves in victory lane for the second time this season.”

Sanchez, announced today, that he will pick up six NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) races for the remainder of 2022 in conjunction with his AMS schedule. Sanchez made his Xfinity Series debut with B.J. McLeod Motorsports on March 12, 2022, at Phoenix Raceway in the United Rentals 200 earlier this season. Teammate Caruth, will also run six NASCAR Xfinity Series races with Alpha Prime Racing in the 2022 season. Both drivers plan to return to Kansas Speedway in September to compete in the NXS in the Kansas Lottery 300.

The ARCA race at Kansas Speedway will take place this Saturday, May 14, at 2 p.m. ET with TV coverage provided by FOX Sports 1. Coverage will also be available via live stream on the Fox Sports App, a live radio broadcast on MRN / SiriusXM (XM channel 391, online channel 981), and at ARCARacing.com.
