Concord, NC – NASCAR Drive for Diversity development driver Lavar Scott scored his first ever Late Model win this weekend at Hickory Motor Speedway.

A historic weekend for the young 18-year-old from Carney’s Point, N.J., Scott had an extremely fast car all night. The team ran P3 in practice, and qualified P2 for the first of two feature races. Scott wasted no time getting to the front, even lapping cars in the process. By the time the checkered flag waved, he had amassed a 2-second lead over second place.

“I am so thankful for this team,” said Scott. “This team has some good people behind it, and they have believed in me since day 1. Thank you to Max Siegel and the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Program as well as my race sponsors NASCAR Technical Institute and Vizionary Wealth Management. It feels so good to finally get my first Late Model win.”

Scott participated in the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Youth Driver Development Combine in 2019. Evaluators saw potential in his abilities and tested with Scott throughout the 2019 season. He was also invited to the 2019 NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Stock Car Combine in October, and was offered a seat in a U.S. Legend Car with Rev Racing in their Youth Driver Development Program during the 2020 season. The team continued to test his abilities in a Late Model throughout 2020, which ultimately earned him an opportunity for a rookie season in the weekly touring series with a full contract with Rev Racing in 2021.

This weekend did not mark the first ever NASCAR-sanctioned win for Scott, as he competed in the NASCAR FB y Bhon Mikel’s Trucks Series, a subseries of the NASCAR PEAK Mexico Series, this summer. He recorded a win at Autódromo del Ecocentro de la Unión Ganadera in Mexico driving for Dynamic Motorsports.

Scott nearly won two races in the same day at the birthplace of NASCAR stars, but came up less than a car-length short in the second feature race. His teammate, fellow NASCAR FB y Bhon Mikel’s Trucks Series winner Regina Sirvent, also raced in both feature races. Sirvent had a fantastic weekend herself, scoring back-to-back Top-3 finishes. Sirvent and Scott thoroughly enjoyed racing with each other, and both learned a lot coming out of the race weekend.

“We are extremely proud of Lavar and have really seen a tremendous amount of talent and progress over the last two years,” said Max Siegel, owner of Rev Racing. “We are eager to see continued growth and results from Lavar as the season comes to a close.”

Rev Racing announced recently that Scott would be returning to the team for the 2022 season in their Late Model Program, so odds are that the first win of his career will not be his only one.

FROM ALPHA PRIME RACING: Caesar Bacarella is partnering with Tommy Joe Martins to form a new NASCAR Xfinity Series team in 2022. Beginning next season, Martins Motorsports will become Alpha Prime Racing.

The team’s first driver signing: ARCA standout Rajah Caruth.

The news comes just weeks after Martins Motorsports Owner/Driver Tommy Joe Martins announced he wouldn’t compete full time in the 44 car next season, opening up the seat to other potential drivers. For Alpha Prime CEO and NASCAR Xfinity Series part-timer Caesar Bacarella, it was an opportunity too good to pass up.

“I want to build something,” Bacarella said. “I love this sport. That’s why I do it.” Caesar continued, “I’ve known Tommy and his dad since 2018, and when I saw the news about them going part time, I started asking questions. It led to a discussion about ownership, which is something I’d already been thinking about.”

Martins shares the excitement with his new co-owner.

“Caesar is such a great dude,” Martins said. “He actually called me asking about what would it take to start a team. I told him a whole lot,” Martins laughed.

“I mentioned my dad and Rodney [Riessen, co-owner of MMS] wanting to take a step back and proposed the idea of a partnership,” Martins continued. “It’s a perfect situation for both of us. He brings so much business knowledge and marketing savvy to the table for us, and obviously I’ve been through the school of hard knocks racing wise. I think we complement each other really well.”

The first order of business for APR? Filling out the driver roster for the 2022 schedule. Baccarella will run a limited Xfinity schedule while competing for a Lamborghini Blancpain World Challenge America GT3 championship with TR3 Racing. Martins expects to run between 10-15 races for the team. But both owners seem to be most excited about their new prospect, Rajah Caruth.

“Rajah is the future for us,” Martins said. “I’ve had the privilege of getting to know him and his dad, Roger, over the last few months and they are exactly the type of people we want to be a part of Alpha Prime Racing. Rajah has his whole career in front of him. I’m just honored they trust us to be one of his first steps.”

Bacarella was more matter of fact about the young driver.

“He’s going to be a star,” Caesar said. “No question about it.”

Rajah’s confirmed schedule in the 44 car includes Martinsville Speedway, Dover International Speedway, and Richmond Raceway. Martins left the door open to additional races for the young driver at Pocono Raceway and Kansas Speedway pending additional sponsorship. A focus of the schedule is maintaining Rajah’s rookie status in the Xfinity Series heading into the 2023 season.

“I’m extremely honored to have the opportunity to continue my progression as both a racer and a young man in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2022 with Tommy, Caesar, and Alpha Prime Racing,” Caruth said. I’ve had the great fortune of having such great people surrounding me thus far in my career, and i’m ecstatic to add some more to that circle with APR.”

Caruth, 19, has been a member of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Program since 2018. He currently competes full time in the ARCA Menards Series East for Rev Racing where he’s scored four top 10’s and two top 5’s in six starts. He’s also competed part time in the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly series scoring wins at Hickory Motor Speedway and Tri-County Motor Speedway this year.

“2021 has been a great season for us at Rev Racing in both the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series and the ARCA Menards East,” Caruth said. “I’m excited to finish out our year stoutly.”

Martins currently sits 18th in the NASCAR Xfinity Driver standings with four top-15’s and thirteen top-20 finishes in 22 starts. According to Bacarella, the strong performance of the small family team is what drew him in.

“They’ve been running so good,’ Caesar said. “I mean, they’re fast every week. They’ve got great people. They’re doing it the right way. That’s what I want Alpha Prime Racing to be. I want to help take it to the next level.”

Alongside making his NASCAR Xfinity Series debut next year, Caruth will also jump up to the ARCA Menards Series with Rev Racing full-time in 2022.

August 24, 2021

Concord, NC – NASCAR Drive for Diversity Development Drivers Nick Sanchez, driver of the No. 2 Max Siegel Inc. Chevrolet, and Rajah Caruth, driver of the No. 6 NTI/UTI Chevrolet, will head to the Milwaukee Mile in the second ARCA Menards Series combination race of the year.

In the last ARCA combination race at Iowa Speedway, Sanchez and Caruth showed their strong chemistry, drafting with each other and trading positions throughout the entirety of the 150 laps. The duo came home P5 and P9, respectively.

Going into Milwaukee, Sanchez and Caruth have been preparing in their own ways.

“Even though we are teammates, Rajah and I really do our own things when it comes to preparation. But, we do communicate with each other just so that we are on the same page come race day. That’s why we are so good together.”

Caruth feels the same.

“We race very hard on the race track, and we always do a good job of communicating with each other on and off the track. It also helps that we are friends, too.”

Sanchez, who races in the ARCA Menards Series, has been having a near-spectacular rookie season full of Top-10 and Top-5 streaks. But, there’s one thing preventing his “near-spectacular” season from being a “spectacular” season: a win.

And Sanchez is the hungriest he’s ever been for one.

“We’ve been picking up a lot of speed since Winchester, partly because of how we build our cars at the shop, and the decisions we make at the track. It’s nice to be running P3 and P2 at these recent races, but I want to win. This team wants to win. But there’s one car in our way every race, and in order to beat [him], we have to execute our races flawlessly from start to finish.

And I think we are very close to doing so.”

On the contrary, Caruth, who races in the ARCA Menards Series East—one step below Sanchez—has not had an ARCA race since that very race at Iowa. But Caruth is unphased.

“Milwaukee is a new race track for the both of us, so I’m extremely excited. It will be really awesome to see not one, but two Max Siegel Inc. Chevrolets running up front.”

With only one race left this year after Milwaukee, Caruth has had some thoughts on his rookie season in the ARCA Menards Series East.

“At the beginning of the year, I was cautious. I had to learn a lot going into my rookie year in ARCA. But, I think we had some shining moments this season. Really, I just want to finish strong in the points and prepare myself for next year. As for next year…well, you’ll see soon.”

Before heading to the race, Sanchez and Caruth will stop by Sprecher Brewing Company to partake in a brewery tour and meet with Sharad Chadha, Sprecher’s CEO.

On August 29th, Nick Sanchez, Rajah Caruth, and Rev Racing will race at the historic Milwaukee Mile in the Sprecher 150. Practice will begin at 10 a.m. CT, with qualifying at 11:30 a.m. CT. The race will air on MAVTV and Trackpass on NBC Sports Gold, with a radio broadcast on MRN and SiriusXM at 2 p.m. CT.

August 19, 2021

Concord, NC – NASCAR Drive for Diversity Development Driver Nick Sanchez, driver of the No. 2 Max Siegel Incorporated Chevrolet for Rev Racing, heads to Michigan in hopes of reaching victory lane, and to pay homage to America’s rich racing history.

After a tough wreck at Winchester Speedway cost him a shot at the win, Sanchez rebounded at Watkins Glen with a P8 finish—his tenth Top-10 finish of the year. Now heading into Michigan, Sanchez is still as optimistic as ever (if not more so) about nabbing his first win.

“Racing at Michigan will be such a cool experience. I don’t think I have ever been on a track quite like this, honestly. There will be a lot more on-throttle time compared to Kansas and Charlotte, and aerodynamics will play a big role in the outcome of the race for sure. And, a track like this provides very many opportunities for great restarts and lots of hard battles. If we capitalize on those opportunities, we could bring Max Siegel his first ever ARCA Menards Series win.”

Even more exciting for Sanchez and the team is the fact that Sanchez will be racing in a brand-new car with brand-new equipment.

“The guys in the shop have put together some fantastic cars. We’ve been able to go toe-to-toe with all of the championship contenders and we have shown consistent speed. And now that we have some brand new equipment going into the race at Michigan? I’m really excited to see what we can do.”

But it’s not all business for Sanchez this weekend. Prior to his race at Michigan, Sanchez and fellow teammate and friend Rajah Caruth will visit The Henry Ford Museum to talk with media members, compete against them and museum staff on racing simulators, and then take a guided tour of the museum’s new permanent motorsports exhibit, Driven to Win: Racing in America, presented by General Motors.

“Funny enough, my dad and I actually collect cars on the side, so I’ll probably feel right at home at this museum!”, says Sanchez. “I know Rajah and I are definitely excited to learn about the rich automotive history of Detroit.”

On August 20th, Nick Sanchez and Rev Racing will head to Michigan International Speedway to race in the Henry Ford Health System 200. Practice will begin at 4 p.m. ET, followed by an autograph session at 5:15 p.m. ET. The race will air on MAVTV and Trackpass on NBC Sports Gold, with a radio broadcast on MRN and SiriusXM at 6 p.m. ET.

August 5, 2021

Concord, NC
– Rev Racing NASCAR Drive for Diversity Development Driver Nick Sanchez, driver of the No. 2 Max Siegel Incorporated Chevrolet will head to Watkins Glen to bounce back after a difficult finish at Winchester.

Going into Watkins Glen, Sanchez has six Top 5’s on the season, including one at The Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, the only other road course race of the ARCA Menards Series season. Sanchez was also on a nine-race Top 10 streak and was 96-points behind Ty Gibbs for the championship points lead going into Winchester. At Winchester, Sanchez showed P1 speed in qualifying, and even went toe-to-toe with Gibbs and fellow championship points contender Corey Heim early in the race just before a mechanical issue sent him into the wall around Lap 35. While the damage from that collision was not day-ending, getting collected in a wreck involving Taylor Grey and Daniel Dye was. Sanchez dove down low to avoid the wrecking cars, but was clipped on the right rear corner panel by Dye, sending him backwards-first into the Turn 1 wall at a a dangerously high speed.

Sanchez walked away from the injury unharmed, but devastated that his career day had come to an end.

“We got caught in someone else’s mess, really”, said Sanchez, speaking to Trackpass reporter Dave Reiff. “I’m just thankful for my team, they build really safe race cars. We’ll come back stronger.”

Sanchez knows his time to get a win this season is running out, but despite all of this, his positivity and optimism remains unchanged.

“Out of every race weekend this year, I think this was our actual first legitimate shot to contend for the victory. Knowing that we had that opportunity, I don’t think I could have been any happier with how the weekend turned out. Hopefully this is a building block for us in these final 8 races.”

Like his race at The Mid Ohio Sports Car Course, this will be the first time Sanchez has ever raced on this course, but he is not phased.

“I feel like if we have a car with speed, everything else will take care of itself. I like road racing, it’s where I started racing on go-karts. So, it’s something I know well, just not in a big stock car. This is a race I have been looking forward to, and am ready for.”

On August 6th, Nick Sanchez and Rev Racing will head to historic Watkins Glen International to race in the Clean Harbors 100 at The Glen. Qualifying will begin at 3:15 p.m. ET, followed by an autograph session at 5:15 p.m. ET. The race will air on FS1 and Fox Sports Go, with a radio broadcast on MRN and SiriusXM at 6 p.m. ET.

Concord, NC – Rev Racing NASCAR Drive for Diversity Development Driver Nick Sanchez, driver of the No. 2 Max Siegel Incorporated Chevrolet will head to Winchester Speedway in search of his first win of the season.

Sanchez has only finished outside the top-five three times since his breakout race at Talladega in April. At his last ARCA short track race at Toledo, Sanchez tied his career-best finish of third. 96-points behind Ty Gibbs for the championship points lead, Sanchez has turned into one of four ARCA Menards Series championship contenders.

“We have really good momentum coming out of Iowa, finishing Top-5 there,” says Sanchez. “You know, even though it was a P5 finish, I think we had more to show than what we were able to. We have a fast car going into Winchester, and if we execute and fire on all cylinders, we will have a solid showing all 200 laps this Saturday. ”

One would think Sanchez is content with his impressive Top-5 streak, but Sanchez wants more.

“I will say, it is never bad to have a streak of Top-5s, but at the end of the day…stats are stats. People are probably going to remember the guy who wins more than the guy who has 6 Top-5s in a row. I think for me and my career, I just have to win. Top-5s aren’t enough to really perform and show my strengths to the whole industry. So I’m excited to go to Winchester and contend for a win.”

On July 31st, Nick Sanchez and Rev Racing will head back to the midwest to race at Winchester Speedway in the Calypso Lemonade 200. Qualifying will begin at  6 p.m. CT, followed by an autograph at 6:45 p.m. CT. The race will air on MAVTV and TrackPass on NBC Sports Gold beginning at 8 p.m. CT.

Caruth and Sanchez Team Up at Iowa Speedway in ARCA Combination Race

Concord, NC – Rev Racing NASCAR Drive for Diversity Development Drivers Nick Sanchez, driver of the No. 2 Max Siegel Incorporated Chevrolet, and Rajah Caruth, driver of the No. 6 NTI/UTI Chevrolet, will both head to Iowa Speedway for the first ARCA Menards Series/ARCA Menards Series East combination event of the season. This will also serve as a Sioux Chief Showdown points race as well for Sanchez.

Caruth, who is a full-time driver in the ARCA Menards Series East, and Sanchez, who drives full-time in the ARCA Menards Series, have never driven together in the same race. However, the duo’s chemistry off the track, in conjunction with direction for Rev Racing’s Director of Driver Development, has allowed them to prepare as teammates to race competitively together.

“It’s going to be really cool having Rajah as my teammate at Iowa! Even though I’ve been racing in ARCA a little longer than him, I’m always asking him questions and picking his brain a little bit just to prepare. Plus, having 2 cars on the track is great for Rev as a whole because we’ll be able to try new things, and see what works for both Raj and me at the same time. Overall, I am extremely excited!”

Caruth echoes the same feeling.

“I think our chemistry off the track will be helpful in the car because we both know each other’s driving styles, and know how to race around each other. It should be fun.”

Sanchez and Caruth are both enjoying solid rookie seasons in their respective series. Sanchez has only finished outside the top-five twice since his breakout race at Talladega in April, and in the last ARCA short track race at Toledo, Sanchez tied his career-best finish of third. Just 79-points behind points leader Corey Heim, Sanchez has turned into one of four ARCA Menards Series championship contenders.

Caruth currently has 2 Top-5’s and 3 Top-10’s on the season, and is only 47 points behind the points leader for the ARCA Menards Series East championship. Since finishing 11th at New Smyrna, Caruth has been showing major improvement with every race this season. He is looking to build on his last race, in which he scored a career-best finish of P3 at Southern National Motorsports Park.

As for the track itself, both are eager to take on the fast-paced 0.875-mile paved oval located in Newton, Iowa.

“My prep for Iowa has been similar to the prep I’ve done for the other ARCA races I’ve had this year,” says Caruth. “I’ve reached out to various drivers across the world of NASCAR for notes and tips and pointers about Iowa, and tried the best that I can to internalize all of that information. In addition, I’ve done a little bit of sim racing at home, but not too much.”

Sanchez shares the same sentiment.

“Yes [Raj] same with me, I’ve prepped for Iowa the same as I have every other race this year: studying film, asking my team questions and listening to their guidance, and practicing on iRacing a little bit. I’m excited to see what we can do together.”

On July 24th, Rajah Caruth, Nick Sanchez, and Rev Racing will head to America’s heartland to race at Iowa Speedway in the Shore Lunch 150. Qualifying will begin at  6 p.m. CT with the series first autograph session of the season at 6:45 p.m. CT. The race will air on MAVTV with a live stream available on TrackPass beginning at 8 p.m. CT.

Concord, NC
– Rev Racing NASCAR Drive for Diversity Development Driver Nick Sanchez, driver of the No. 2 Max Siegel Incorporated/ Chevrolet recorded his 4th Top-5 consecutive finish at Pocono Raceway, but is looking for more at Elko Speedway.

Sanchez has finished in the Top-5 four times in a row, and currently has 5 Top-5’s on the season. The ARCA Menards Series Rookie has turned his season around since finishing 31st and 21st in the first 2 races of the season, and is currently 4th in the ARCA Menards Series points standings—79 points behind the points leader.

“Pocono was a unique experience for us. We went in a little blind because we had never been there before. We qualified 6th and finished 4th, and avoided a big crash in the process. Honestly, 4th is a result I’m happy with, given the car we had. I think we got the most out of it.”

Going into Elko, Sanchez is feeling very optimistic about his chances of keeping his consistent streak going—and adding a future win to his season stats.

“Elko is also a track we are going into blind, because we have never been there before. But, having some more time in between Pocono and Elko, we have time to really fine-tune our car specifically for this track and develop a strategy on how we can put Max Siegel and this team in victory lane!”

Sanchez is Rev Racing’s most seasoned driver, in his fourth year as a participant in the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program. This is his first year in the ARCA Menards Series, coming off a successful rookie campaign in the ARCA Menards Series East, where he finished 3rd in the point standings.

On July 10th, Sanchez and Rev Racing will head to plains of Minnesota to race at Elko Speedway in the Menards 250. The race will air on FS1 with a live stream available on Fox Sports Go beginning at 6 p.m. ET.

Concord, NC – Rev Racing NASCAR Drive for Diversity Development Driver Nick Sanchez, driver of the No. 2 Max Siegel Incorporated, heads to Pocono Raceway in search of his first win of the season.

The ARCA Menards Series Rookie has turned his season around since finishing 31st and 21st in the first 2 races of the season, finishing in the Top 5 in 4 of his last 5 races, the most recent of which coming at his first ever road course race. Currently 4th in the ARCA Menards Series points standings, Sanchez is just 72 points behind Corey Heim for the series points lead.

“Growing up racing go-karts on road course circuits, I was able to transfer that knowledge to Mid-Ohio a little bit,” says Sanchez. “But, there is an obvious difference between driving a shifter kart on a go-kart track and driving an ARCA stock car around a full-fledged road course, so there was still a learning curve for me. Overall, we’ll take a Top 5 but we aren’t satisfied.”

As for Pocono, Sanchez is feeling very optimistic about his chances of keeping his consistent streak going—and adding a win to his season stats.

“I am even more confident going into Pocono than I was going into Charlotte, and we ran P2, even P1 at times, during that race. I know that this team constantly works every week to give me good equipment, and I am really excited to have the chance of putting this team in victory lane.”

On June 25th, Sanchez and Rev Racing will head to the beautiful Pocono Mountains region to race at Pocono Raceway in the General Tire #AnywhereIsPossible 200. The race will air on FS1 with a live stream available on Fox Sports Go beginning at 6 p.m. ET.

Concord, NC – Started by Max Siegel in 2009, Rev Racing manages NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program as well as a youth racing initiative for drivers ages 12-17 who compete in the INEX Legend Car Series. This youth development program serves as an entry point to the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program. Selected drivers will be a year-long member of the team roster and compete in the Summer Shootout at Charlotte Motor Speedway, among other events, with Rev Racing.

The 2021 NASCAR Drive for Diversity Youth Development team members, announced in early February, are eagerly anticipating the start of the Summer Shootout at Charlotte Motor Speedway. A diverse class of drivers, each bringing unique skill sets and experience, will participate in ten rounds of racing starting mid-June to early August.

“The NASCAR Drive for Diversity Youth Development Program serves as an entry point for us to connect with minority and female drivers at the earliest age possible,” said Max Siegel, Owner of Rev Racing. “The sooner we have the opportunity to work with these young athletes, we can support and position them for growth in the sport. We are thrilled with this year’s driver selection and anticipate very successful outcomes throughout the season ahead, as they represent the future of NASCAR.”

Regina Sirvent, 18, is in her second season with the program. Born in Mexico City, Mexico, Sirvent started racing karts when she was 9 years old on a road course in Cuernavaca, Morelos. In 2017, she joined the FB y BOHN Mikel’s Trucks Series presented by NASCAR PEAK Mexico Series, where she garnered a top 10 finish in her first year. In 2020, she captured 2 wins, 5 podiums, 2 poles, and a 3rd place finish in the points standings. In 2021, Sirvent will race in the NASCAR PEAK Mexico Challenge Series. Sirvent is also the first female to win in the FB y BOHN Mikel’s Trucks series.

After one season with Rev Racing in the youth development program, she garnered a third-place finish at the Charlotte Summer Shootout with three top fives and five top 10s. Sirvent earned a second-year opportunity to run an INEX Legend Car as well as a full-time ride in Rev Racing’s Late Model program.

Andrés Pérez de Lara, 16, is in his first season with Rev Racing and a participant in the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Youth Driver Development Program. Born in Mexico City, Mexico, Andrés started racing at the age of 11, earning great success in the Mexico Karting championships. At the end of 2019, he raced in L-A Formula 4 and became a championship contender. In 2020, he raced for Telcel-Telmex Racing in NASCAR Mexico Trucks, earning 2020 FB Bohn Mikel’s Trucks by NASCAR Peak Mexico Rookie of the Year honors and winning the series championship.

Jaiden Reyna, 14, is in his first season with Rev Racing and the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Youth Driver Development Program. Born in Cornelius, NC, he began his career at the age of 6. He first competed in the Kid Kart Class with the Hampton Roads Kart Club at Langley Motor Speedway in Hampton, Virginia. At the age of 7, Jaiden moved into the Junior Sportsman 1 class; a flat kart division for 7 to 10 year old competitors. In 2015, he made the jump into an INEX Bandolero, competing in the division for 4 years. At the start of 2019, Jaiden participated in a handful of Mini Outlaw Dirt Kart events at Millbridge Speedway. Just before the summer of that year, he began competing in a U.S. Legends Car. In 2020, he was the Summer Shootout Champion.

Justin Campbell, 15, is in his first season with Rev Racing and the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Youth Driver Development Program. Born in Griffin, GA, he got his start racing at the age of 10. Concord, NC – Rev Racing entered into a partnership with Vizionary Wealth Management sponsoring NASCAR Drive for Diversity Development driver Lavar Scott in the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series for the remainder of the season.

Vizionary Wealth Management serves the strategic financial planning needs of clients around the country, specializing in work with pharmaceutical executives and business owners.

We push for successful outcomes and getting young adults on a path to a brighter future. Sponsoring Lavar Scott allows Vizionary to invest in a young man who is passionate, goal oriented and driven.”

Scott, from Carney’s Point, New Jersey, is in his second season as a member of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program. Scott earned the respect of his team this past year and is now piloting a full-time ride in the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Touring Series in the Late Model Stock car.

“I’m extremely excited and fortunate to have Vizionary Wealth Management sponsoring me on my racing journey, said Lavar Scott. “This sponsorship has special significance for me as well because they believe in the mission of our program and supporting opportunities for young people. The team continued to test his abilities in the late model throughout 2020, which ultimately earned him an opportunity to run his rookie season in the weekly touring series.

Outside of racing in the Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series, Scott recently had the opportunity to race in the FB y BOHN Mikel’s Trucks Series, a division of the NASCAR PEAK Mexico Series. In his first start at Súper Óvalo Chiapas, he qualified P1 and finished in the top 10.

Vizionary Wealth Management will debut their partnership on Scott’s Late Model at Florence Speedway on Saturday, June 5th at 7PM EST.

Concord, NC
– ARCA Menards Series rookie Nick Sanchez, driver of the No. 2 Max Siegel Incorporated Chevrolet, will make his first road-course start of the season at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, in Lexington, Ohio.

Sanchez, 19, has shown impressive consistency, finishing in the Top 5 in 3 of his last 4 races, along with being 4th in the ARCA Menards Series points standings. Last weekend at Charlotte, Sanchez ran P2 for the majority of the race—even challenging championship favorite Ty Gibbs for the lead at times—until a cut tire on the last lap left him with a P5 finish.

“Charlotte was probably the best race of the season for us as a team,” says Sanchez. “We were running up top all day, showing consistent speed until a cut tire put a damper on our day. On the last lap too! Even though we finished P5, I really don’t think that showcases our potential, and just how hard we work over at Rev Racing. We’ll take it, but we aren’t satisfied.”

As it stands, Sanchez is 4th in the season standings, 72 points behind Thad Moffit, Ty Gibbs, and Corey Heim.

On June 4th, Sanchez and Rev Racing will head to the midwest to historic Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course for the Dawn 150. The race will span 42 laps, and will air on FS1 with a live stream available on Fox Sports Go beginning at 6 p.m. ET. A radio broadcast can also be heard on MRN or SiriusXM (XM channel 391, online channel 981).

Concord, NC – ARCA Menards Series rookie Nick Sanchez, driver of the No. 2 Max Siegel Incorporated/Honda Generators Chevrolet, looks to make his first trip of the season to victory lane concluding the General Tire 150 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Sanchez, 19, is hot off tying a career-best finish of P3 at the Herr’s Potato Chips 200 at Toledo Speedway last week. Battling for position all day, Sanchez dropped back as far as 7th, but made some moves late in the race to finish third.

“We started off P4, but It was a really rough race for me,” said Nick Sanchez. “However, thanks to my crew, we had a really good showing at the end, and I ended up tying my career-best finish.”

Sanchez is Rev Racing’s most seasoned driver, in his fourth year as a participant in the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program. This is his first year in the ARCA Menards Series, but he’s coming off a successful rookie season in the ARCA Menards Series East, where he finished 3rd in the point standings. Sanchez is currently 4th in the 2021 ARCA Menards Series point standings. In five races, Sanchez has 2 Top 5’s and 3 Top 10’s.

This weekend, Sanchez and Rev Racing will travel less than one block down the road to Charlotte Motor Speedway to race in the General Tire 150. The race spans 100 laps, and will broadcast live on FS1 with a live stream available on Fox Sports Go beginning at 7 p.m. ET. Concord, NC
NASCAR Drive for Diversity Development Driver Regina Sirvent officially announced today she will race full-time in the NASCAR PEAK Mexico Challenge Series during the 2021 season, driving the No. 01 Chevrolet Camaro for Team Race Planet.

Sirvent is also running a full-season with Rev Racing both in a Late Model and U.S. Legend Car. Sirvent will attempt the full 12-race NASCAR PEAK Mexico Challenge Series schedule, under the sponsorship support of the Water People, Flex Seguridad Privada, Manufacturas AGAPSA, MS Comercialización, Restaurant Cluny, and C Transportation.

Sirvent, 18, was born in Mexico City, Mexico. Sirvent started racing karts when she was 9 years old on a road course in Cuernavaca, Morelos. She also participated in the Florida Winter Tour in 2014 and 2016 as well as racing in a Junior Kart for the Rotax and Vortex championship. She was able to finish in the top 5 of the championship point standings in both that season and the 2017 season.

In 2017, she moved to the FB y Bohn Mikel’s Trucks by NASCAR Peak Mexico Series where she garnered a top 10 finish in her first year. In 2018, she raced 1 race in F4 Mexico Series, finishing 5th, as well as earning 2 poles in the Mexico Truck series. In 2019, she finished 2nd in the 12 Houres of Puebla. 2020 served as a turning point for Sirvent, as she captured a 3rd overall finish in points, 2 wins, 5 podiums and 2 poles in the FB y Bohn Mikel’s Trucks by NASCAR Peak Mexico Series.

In her first season with Rev Racing, she garnered a third-place finish at the Charlotte Summer Shootout with three top fives and five top 10s. Sirvent earned a second-year opportunity to run a INEX Legend Car as well as a full-time ride in Rev Racing’s Late Model program.

“I’m very excited to be racing the Challenge Series because it is one step up from the Trucks series that I raced in last year,” says Sirvent. “Racing in the Challenge Series will absolutely help me in every area of my racing career.”

Sirvent will kick off her season at Súper Óvalo Chiapas in Tuxtla Gutiérrez on May 22-23. The race will span 130 laps. Her Rev Racing teammate Lavar Scott is also running at Súper Óvalo Chiapas, but in the FB y Bohn Mikel’s Trucks.

Scott to make NASCAR Mikel’s Truck Series debut at Súper Óvalo Chiapas in Mexico

May 18, 2021 at 3:00 PM

Concord, NCNASCAR Drive for Diversity Youth Development Driver Lavar Scott, 17, will make his first start in the FB Bohn Mikel’s Trucks Series, driving the No. 34 Scott’s Auto and Towing Ford for Dynamic Motorsports at Súper Óvalo Chiapas on May 22-23 in Tuxtla Gutierrez, Mexico.

The deal to race in the series was spurred by his own Rev Racing teammate Regina Sirvent, who, alongside being in the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Program herself, regularly races in the NASCAR Peak Mexico Series and NASCAR Trucks Mexico. Sirvent is the only female driver in both series.

Participating in the 2019 NASCAR Drive for Diversity Youth Driver Development Combine, evaluators saw potential in Scott’s abilities and tested with him throughout the 2019 season. Scott also was invited to the 2019 NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Stock Car Combine in October, and was offered a seat in a U.S. Legend car with Rev Racing in their youth development program during the 2020 season. The team continued to test his abilities in the late model throughout 2020, which ultimately earned him an opportunity to run his rookie season in the weekly touring series.

“It’s going to be an interesting experience,” says Scott. “I’ve never driven in this series before, nor have I driven a car like this before. I haven’t even been out of the country before, so this entire experience will be one I’ll remember for a long time.” But Scott says even though he’s excited for the experience—and the prospect of racing in more races in the series—his main focus is on Rev Racing.

Sunday’s race is the first race of the year for the series. Created in 2017, the FB BOHN Mikel’s Trucks Mexico Series is entering just its fifth season. Practice for the race starts on Saturday, with the race being the next day. Super Óvalo Chiapas is 1.2 kilometers of length, and the race will span 90 laps.

Caruth celebrates third Late Model victory, hoping momentum follows to Nashville

Concord, NC – NASCAR Drive for Diversity Development Driver Rajah Caruth, 18, notched his third Late Model Stock Car win of the 2021 season with Rev Racing Saturday night at Tri-County Motor Speedway.

After finishing eighth in the first 40-lap feature, Caruth wheeled his No. 6 Sunoco/iRacing Chevrolet to Victory Lane in the second feature race. His teammate, Isabella Robusto, finished seventh in the first feature, but was knocked out of the second 40-lapper after an early-race collision.

Caruth has elevated his stats in every category since his first Late Model win one year ago, collecting six Top 10s, three Top 5s, and two wins on the year in addition to Saturday’s performance. Caruth hopes to carry this momentum into Nashville, where he will pilot the No. 6 NTI/UTI Chevrolet in the ARCA Menards Series East.

“As a team, our Twin 40s were pretty solid,” says Caruth. “Despite having to fight for position, we were able to go from 13th to 8th in the first Twin. Then, we got the pole in the second Twin, and used that to propel ourselves to a win.”

Caruth was selected for the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Youth Driver Development Program in 2019, the first driver from a majority iRacing background to be picked for the program. His success earned him a spot on the 2020 NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development roster, which led him to compete in the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series. In 2021, Caruth is running in both the ARCA Menards Series East and the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series.

Caruth will compete at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, under Rev Racing and owner Max Siegel, in the Crosley Record Pressing 200 presented by Action 24/7 on the .596-mile paved oval at 8:30 p.m. CT / 9:30 p.m. ET. Teammates Lavar Scott and Regina Sirvent will also compete this weekend at Hickory Motor Speedway in the Late Models on Saturday, May 8th.

Sanchez Looking for Redemption at Talladega

Nick 2
Sanchez Looking for Redemption at Talladega
Concord, N.C.
Miami, Florida native Nick Sanchez has plenty of reasons to look forward to this weekend, as he takes on the 2.66-mile paved oval at Talladega Superspeedway in the ARCA Menards Series. After race-related misfortunes at both his Daytona debut and Phoenix, he is ready for a top finish in the No. 2 Honda Generators Chevrolet.

Sanchez, a member of NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program, comes off of a third-place finish in the ARCA Menards Series East 2020 point standings. Rev Racing, owned by Max Siegel, changed manufacturers from Toyota to Chevrolet and switched their focus over the off season to run Sanchez in a full-time ride in 2021.

Rev Racing has continued to see potential in Sanchez from the very start of his involvement in the program, finding success in every series he has competed in for the team. In 2019, Sanchez sat on the pole in just his second career AMSE start at South Boston. Unfortunately, the team has not garnered the finishes they have worked so hard to prepare for in his rookie AMS 2021 season.

In his Daytona debut, Sanchez quickly worked his way into the top ten from a starting position of 12th place. He moved into a top-five position right before an accident occurred in front of him on lap 28. The accident left him with nowhere to go, consequently ending the team’s day at Daytona International Speedway.

The team’s luck did not improve in Phoenix, the site of his ARCA Menards Series debut in 2020 as well as his best AMS finish of sixth. He started in sixth position and spent a good portion of the race running in the top ten. Sanchez worked his way up to third when he again found himself the victim of an accident not of his doing.

Sanchez, along with his team, are hoping for his luck to change, as he is ready to capitalize on all the hard work and preparation that has gone into the season to-date.

“It has been a frustrating start to the season so far,” said Nick Sanchez. “We have had great cars each time we show up to the track and feel competitive. We just need to stay out of trouble and get the finishes we have all worked toward. I have never felt more prepared to earn top-five finishes or pay a visit to victory lane. Our time is coming.”

The green flag is set to fly for the General Tire 200 at Noon CT / 1 p.m. ET this Saturday, April 24th. Sanchez will also have the in-car camera during the featured race. Fans will be able to attend Saturday’s race at Talladega (buy tickets) and can watch the race live on FS1 or Fox Sports Go.

NASCAR and Rev Racing Announce 2021 NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Class

NASCAR and Rev Racing Announce 2021 NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Class

Class of Eight Diverse Drivers Includes Program Veterans and New Participants Set to Compete in ARCA Menards Series, NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series and U.S. Legends Cars

Concord, NC. (Feb. 3, 2021) – Eight talented young drivers from various backgrounds were selected to the newest class of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program, NASCAR and Rev Racing announced today.

The 2021 roster for the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program includes returning veterans, a rising iRacer, two FB y BOHN Mikel’s Trucks drivers and the 2020 World Series Dirt Nationals champion.

Nick Sanchez, Rajah Caruth, Isabella Robusto, Lavar Scott and Regina Sirvent are Rev Racing veterans returning to the program in 2021. This season will mark the first year of NASCAR Drive for Diversity participation for drivers Justin Campbell, Andres Perez de Lara and Jaiden Reyna.

Sanchez will race full-time in the ARCA Menards Series after a successful rookie season in the ARCA Menards Series East. Caruth, a prominent iRacer who made his transition to the racetrack in 2019, is advancing to compete in the ARCA Menards Series East while also continuing to race in the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series in 2021.

Scott and Sirvent are advancing to join Caruth in the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series after racing Legend cars in the 2020 NASCAR Drive for Diversity Youth Driver Development Program for Rev Racing. Robusto will also compete in the Late Model division. Newcomers Campbell, Perez de Lara and Reyna will race U.S. Legend cars.

“We are thrilled to welcome these accomplished drivers to our successful development program,” said Jusan Hamilton, NASCAR Director, Racing Operations and Event Management. “We’re enthusiastic about their future and look forward to working with each driver as they advance their racing careers.”

Traditionally, drivers are selected after participating in a two-day NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Combine sponsored by Honda Generators that includes on-track assessments. The 2020 combine was canceled due to the impact of COVID-19, so candidates were evaluated based on applications, references, historical success and previous on-track performance by a panel comprised of NASCAR industry members. To apply, interested drivers submitted a racing resume and video highlights to NASCAR and Rev Racing.

The NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program was created in 2004 to develop and train ethnically diverse and female drivers both on and off the track. NASCAR Cup Series drivers Bubba Wallace, Daniel Suárez and Kyle Larson are alumni of this program, which is operated by Rev Racing in Concord, N.C.

“We could not be more pleased with the 2021 class selection,” said Max Siegel, Rev Racing Owner. “Each year the competition in the sport continues to rise and so does the talent of our applicant pool. We feel very confident in our ability to be competitive and look forward to a successful season.”

Wallace debuted in the NASCAR Cup Series full-time in 2018 and finished second in the DAYTONA 500 that season. He also has six wins in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series, where he became the first African American driver since Hall of Famer Wendell Scott to win a NASCAR race. This season, Wallace will make his debut with the 23XI Racing team owned by Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin.

Suárez won the NASCAR Xfinity Series Championship in 2016 and became the first Mexican-born driver to win a NASCAR national series championship. This season Suárez will debut with Trackhouse Racing, a team co-owned by music icon Pitbull. Kyle Larson is a six-time NASCAR Cup Series race winner and has qualified for the NASCAR Playoffs four times. This month at Daytona International Speedway, Larson will begin his first season driving for Hendrick Motorsports.

The 2021 class features the following drivers:

Nick Sanchez – ARCA Menards Series: The 19-year-old driver from Miami, Fla. had a fourth-place finish during his ARCA Menards debut in 2020. He finished third in the 2020 ARCA Menards Series East point standings with two top-fives and three top-10s.

Rajah Caruth – ARCA Menards Series East and NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series: The 18-year-old driver returns to Rev Racing and will compete in the ARCA Menards Series East. The Washington D.C. native won once at Greenville Pickens Speedway in a Late Model stock car in 2020. Isabella Robusto – NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series: The Fort Mill, S.C. native, 16, returns to Rev Racing after finishing third at Hickory Motor Speedway in 2020. She also won the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Young Racer Award for the second time.

Lavar Scott – NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series: Scott secured two podium finishes at the 1/5 Mile Trophy Dash at Charlotte Motor Speedway in a Legend car and won back-to-back races in a 600 Micro Sprint. The 17-year-old from Carney’s Pointe, N.J., also won the World Series Dirt Nationals.

Regina Sirvent – NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series: The State of Mexico, Mexico native competed in the FB y BOHN Mikel’s Truck Mexico Series, winning twice. The 17-year-old driver had a third-place finish at the Charlotte Summer Shootout with three top fives and five top 10s.

Andres Perez de Lara – U.S. Legend Car: The Mexico City, Mexico native competed in Formula 4 and won four races. The 15-year-old driver also competed in the FB y BOHN Mikel’s Truck México Series and had one win. Perez De Lara was 2020’s youngest winner in Latin American Formula 4.

Jaiden Reyna – U.S. Legend Car: Reyna earned two first place finishes at Lincoln Speedway in the Young Lion Division. The 14-year-old from Cornelius, N.C., also had ten firsts, one second and one third place finish at the 2020 Charlotte Summer Shootout in the Young Lion Division.
