Concord, NC – Rev Racing NASCAR Drive for Diversity Development Driver Nick Sanchez, driver of the No. 2 Max Siegel Incorporated/ Chevrolet recorded his 4th Top-5 consecutive finish at Pocono Raceway, but is looking for more at Elko Speedway.
Sanchez has finished in the Top-5 four times in a row, and currently has 5 Top-5’s on the season. The ARCA Menards Series Rookie has turned his season around since finishing 31st and 21st in the first 2 races of the season, and is currently 4th in the ARCA Menards Series points standings—79 points behind the points leader.
“Pocono was a unique experience for us. We went in a little blind because we had never been there before. We qualified 6th and finished 4th, and avoided a big crash in the process. Honestly, 4th is a result I’m happy with, given the car we had. I think we got the most out of it.”
Going into Elko, Sanchez is feeling very optimistic about his chances of keeping his consistent streak going—and adding a future win to his season stats.
“Elko is also a track we are going into blind, because we have never been there before. But, having some more time in between Pocono and Elko, we have time to really fine-tune our car specifically for this track and develop a strategy on how we can put Max Siegel and this team in victory lane!”
Sanchez is Rev Racing’s most seasoned driver, in his fourth year as a participant in the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program. This is his first year in the ARCA Menards Series, coming off a successful rookie campaign in the ARCA Menards Series East, where he finished 3rd in the point standings.
On July 10th, Sanchez and Rev Racing will head to plains of Minnesota to race at Elko Speedway in the Menards 250. The race will air on FS1 with a live stream available on Fox Sports Go beginning at 6 p.m. ET.
