Concord, NCIn Friday night’s Fresh From Florida 250 season-opener at Daytona International Speedway (DIS), Nick Sanchez clinched his career-first NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) victory. This also marked Rev Racing’s first National Series win, after its inaugural entry in the Series in 2023. Sanchez, a Florida-native, is in his seventh consecutive year with Rev Racing under the ownership of Max Siegel. Sanchez has now won in every single series in which he has competed with the team since his start in 2017.

“This is a huge moment for Nick, our partners, Chevrolet and our organization,” said Max Siegel, Rev Racing owner. “We are so proud of Nick’s perseverance and commitment to excellence. To see the impact Rev Racing has had on the lives of those that have been a part of our program is very rewarding. Nick is so deserving and we look forward to celebrating many more victorious moments this season and beyond.”

In a very eventful NCTS opener, which included 12 cautions, Sanchez had his work cut out for him. The Fresh from Florida 250 started with a quick caution on lap 7, a back-stretch incident that sent the No. 2 into the grass. The team rallied and managed to re-position themselves contingent for the win. Sanchez led 26 laps in total, including the final 10.

“It’s truly surreal,” said Sanchez after his first victory in the NCTS. “We had some really great moments in my rookie season, but fell short of a win. Crossing the finish line first was what we had left to accomplish and thanks to Kevin “Bono” Manion and my team, we closed the deal. I am extremely thankful to Max Siegel, Gainbridge and our technical alliance partners at Spire for the opportunity to pilot this truck for the second year in a row.”

This victory earned Sanchez his second-straight opportunity to participate in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Playoffs. Sanchez currently sits 2nd in NCTS point standings.

“Now having clinched a playoff spot, this year will look different as we approach the remainder of  the 2024 season. I am excited to not be in a position of points racing and we can focus each time on running our best race in hopes of the most successful outcome. This year is about focus and performance. This moment will stick with me, but I am shifting my focus to Atlanta.”

Sanchez and the No. 2 Rev Racing Silverado RST team also earned Chevrolet its milestone 100th NASCAR win at DIS. He became the 48th different driver to win at NASCAR’s National ranks at Daytona in the Bowtie brand, securing that momentous milestone in history and joining the ranks of all of the other winning Chevrolet drivers at Daytona.

Sanchez is set to return to competition this Saturday (2.24) at Atlanta Motor Speedway for the Fr8 208 in 135 laps / 208 miles of action. Qualifying for the race is set Friday (2.23) 3:05 PM ET. The event will be covered on FS1 and Sirius XM with live updates provided on Rev Racing’s social media.

Last season, Scott ran for Rev Racing at DIS. Concord, NC- Rev Racing announced today that Nick Sanchez will pilot the No. 2 Gainbridge Chevrolet in the 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) with new technical alliance partner, Spire Motorsports. Kevin “Bono” Manion will lead the Team in pursuit of Sanchez’s and Rev Racing’s first victory in the Truck Series and ultimately a Championship.

Rev Racing expanded its operations, in 2023, to include a full-time entry in the NCTS. At the time, Sanchez had competed for five years with Rev Racing as a participant in the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program. Seeing success in every level of competition, Sanchez was the optimal choice for the dedicated seat. 2024 will mark his seventh consecutive year with the Team.

“I am thrilled to be returning to Rev Racing for a full season in the NCTS,” said Nick Sanchez. “I certainly have some unfinished business. I am grateful for another opportunity to compete with Max and appreciative for the returning support of my partners at Gainbridge. They truly are catalysts in my career and continue to drive positive change in our sport. I am energized by the new talent I have surrounding me in 2024, but feel foundationally grounded by those that are returning for a second season. The team makeup is positioned for success and we are all focused on the same goal, to win a Championship.”

Sanchez’s rookie NCTS season was nothing short of impressive, securing five pole awards, two top-5 finishes, and twelve top-10 finishes, ultimately earning him the title of the 2023 NCTS Rookie of The Year. Sanchez, just falling short of competing in the final round of the Playoffs, is focused on finishing the job alongside his 2024 Team.

Kevin “Bono” Manion will serve as the Crew Chief for the No.2 Gainbridge Chevrolet. He is a notable figure in the industry, scoring victories as a crew chief in all three of NASCAR’s National Series. He is also a back-to-back (2004 and 2005) NASCAR Xfinity Series champion with Martin Truex Jr.. He earned multiple victories with Jamie McMurray in the NASCAR Cup Series, including the Daytona 500 and the Brickyard 400. Bono worked at DEI for many years, as well as multiple other teams and drivers during his career including Ricky Craven, Tommy Baldwin Racing, Steve Park, Martin Truex Jr., Richard Petty Motorsports, etc.

In 2023, Manion worked in both the NASCAR Xfinity for four races and the NCTS for multiple races where he garnered a first place finish with Kyle Larson at North Wilkesboro. His experience will be a great asset to Sanchez, as he approaches his second full-season in the NCTS.

“I am really looking forward to working with Nick in the upcoming season,” said Bono, Crew Chief of the No. 2 Chevrolet. “He is incredibly committed to his craft and I know we are going to work really well together. We have a great group of guys surrounding this effort and we are positioned for success, we just need to execute.”

As their preparations ramp up for the start of the season, the team will be a harmonious mix of returning and new, respected talent. One of the 2024 additions will fill the seat of the Team’s lead engineer.

NASCAR veteran, Allen Hart, will step in as the chief engineer. Hart has multiple years of experience in engineering and serving as a crew chief in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. His resume includes experience at JR Motorsports, Turner Motorsports, Tommy Baldwin Racing, Team Penske and Sam Hunt Racing and more.

The season will kick-off with the Fresh from Florida 250, set for February 16th at 7:30 pm at Daytona International Speedway. Live coverage will take place on FS1, Motor Racing Network and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio Channel 90. Fans are encouraged to keep an eye on Rev Racing social media channels for more updates about the 2024 season.

Div 2023 D4d Teamgraphic 1300x690
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (November 20, 2023) –
Today, NASCAR and Rev Racing announced the drivers participating in 2024’s class of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program. The drivers were evaluated and selected after partaking in the Advance Auto Parts Drive for Diversity Combine held in Concord, N.C. and Florence, S.C.

Andrés Pérez de Lara, Lavar Scott, Nathan Lyons, Regina Sirvent, and Eloy Sebastián López Falcón, will be returning to the program next year. Lanie Buice, TJ DeCaire, Cassidy Keitt, and LaQuan McCoy Jr., will be making their debut in 2024.

“Next year marks the 20th anniversary of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program and we’re celebrating this milestone by welcoming a very talented group of drivers,” said Brandon Thompson, NASCAR’s Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion. “We’re confident that next year’s group of drivers will continue elevating the depth of our talent pool and we’re thrilled to play a role in their development.”

The NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program was created in 2004 to develop and train top drivers from diverse backgrounds and experiences, both on and off the track. Rev Racing, which operates the program, brings together championship caliber executives, competition staff and equipment in a unique academy-style environment. The team owned by Max and Jennifer Siegel is based in Concord, N.C.

“We are extremely energized by the talent we saw this past November at the Combine,” said Max Siegel. “From returning drivers to new participants to our program, we look forward to the season ahead and the development of this pipeline of NASCAR’s future stars. We’re proud of our accomplishments since the program’s inception and our expansion into the national series in 2023. We are poised for continued success with this next driver class, as we remain committed to being a championship-contending team and one of the premier development programs in NASCAR.”

Concord, NC- Nick Sanchez and the Rev Racing team are prepared for their final showdown this season at Phoenix Raceway. After a hard-fought battle at Homestead that saw him slip out of the Championship standings, Sanchez has proved he is a force to be reckoned with in his rookie NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) season.

Sanchez hopes to carry over this season-long success to Phoenix.

While a newcomer in the NCTS, Sanchez holds a wealth of experience at Phoenix Raceway. His past appearances in the 2020, 2021, and 2022 ARCA Menards seasons led to his best finish of P.6. Additionally, he competed twice in the 2022 Xfinity season, achieving a best finish of P.12.

Comcast is honored to announce the finalists for the 2023 Comcast Community Champion of the Year Award, the prestigious annual award created to recognize the philanthropic efforts of individuals across the NASCAR industry.

Whether through providing at-risk youth with resources to thrive during childhood, supporting those affected by craniofacial anomalies or advocating for all children with disabilities, the 2023 class of honorees has shown tremendous dedication to creating positive change in their communities.

The 2023 finalists are:

  • Jessica Friesen, Wife of Truck Series driver Stewart Friesen (Crossroads Center For Children)
  • Max Siegel, Team Owner, Rev Racing (Max Siegel Inc. Youth Foundation)
  • Ryan Vargas, Driver, OnPoint Motorsports (FACES: The National Craniofacial Association)

Comcast’s Xfinity brand entered NASCAR as entitlement partner of the NASCAR Xfinity Series in 2015 and is now also Premier Partner of the NASCAR Cup Series. Since the inception of the program, Comcast has donated to 24 different nonprofit organizations, furthering the impact of the philanthropic efforts of all finalists and champions. This year, Comcast will reach the milestone of donating $1 million to deserving organizations associated with individuals within the NASCAR family in a nine-year span.

“Each year, we are inspired by the numerous submissions we receive highlighting the philanthropic work from individuals across the NASCAR industry,” said Matt Lederer, Comcast’s Vice President, Brand Partnerships and Amplification. “Max, Ryan and Jessica are outstanding examples of the positive impact the NASCAR family has in their local communities throughout the country.”

The 2023 Comcast Community Champion of the Year will be selected by a panel of Comcast and NASCAR executives, as well as Jes Ferreira, Vice President of Live Shows for CSM Production, who received the award in 2022 for her work with Foster Village Charlotte, an organization that allows foster parents to connect with and support one another.

2023 Comcast Community Champion of the Year finalists:

Jessica Friesen (Sprakers, NY) – As a devoted mother to a child with autism, Jessica witnessed the remarkable progress her son made at home and in school after undergoing ABA therapy at Crossroads Center for Children. Inspired by her son’s growth, Jessica channeled her boundless energy and passion into the fundraising arena to make a significant difference.

One of her most impactful contributions was organizing the annual Autism Awareness Day at Fonda Speedway, which has been a resounding success since 2018. Through her relentless dedication, Jessica’s efforts raised an impressive $70,000 during its first year for the Crossroads Center for Children.

Jessica and her husband Stewart have been instrumental in supporting Crossroads financially, making vital contributions to bridge the funding gap for families.

Max Siegel (Concord, NC) – As an entertainer executive, multicultural activist, attorney, CEO of USA Track & Field and owner of Rev Racing – which is a development race team for female and minority drivers – it’s safe to say Max Siegel wears many hats. Within those roles his goal is to provide everyone, no matter their circumstances, the opportunity to excel in whatever they may choose.

The mission of the Max Siegel Youth Foundation is to provide at-risk youth with “hope, empowerment and show them that regardless of their circumstances, they can grow into healthy, productive adults and have careers in exciting fields.

Max created Rev Racing, an “academy-style” auto racing team, to provide opportunities for minority and female competitors. Many of NASCAR’s top drivers and pit crew members graduated from this program and continue to excel.

Ryan Vargas (Huntersville, NC) – Ryan Vargas was born with Craniosynostosis, a birth defect diagnosed in one in every 2,000 to 3,000 births in which the bones in a baby’s skull join together too early, causing problems with normal growth. While Ryan’s condition was caught early and repaired with one surgery, that isn’t always the case with many requiring several surgeries. Ryan utilizes his platform to raise awareness to the kids that require multiple surgeries and suffer from all kinds of Craniofacial Differences with the goal of lifting up those who struggle and need the encouragement to take on life and its challenges.

To support those who continue to struggle with this birth defect, Ryan became involved in FACES: The National Craniofacial Association. FACES is a 501(c)(3) organization that provides resources for those with craniofacial anomalies such as financial assistance for medical travel, as well as a support network for teens and children through FACES camp.

In addition to his PR consulting and board member responsibilities, Ryan had an opportunity to volunteer at the FACES summer camp in Tennessee this past year. FACES camp is a place where children with facial differences can enjoy being themselves and meet others with similar medical issues.

However, securing a victory at my home track where it all began, especially as the first of the season, will be even more special.” He continued, “Throughout the season, I’ve consistently spoken about how this team excels under pressure, and here we are again, just 3 points above the cutoff. My hope is that my team and I can secure our spot in the championship four and deliver the victory we truly deserve.”

One Last Time This Season, Perez and Rev Racing Prepare for Toledo Speedway

One Last Time This Season, Perez and Rev Racing Prepare for Toledo Speedway

October 6, 2023

Concord, NC- Andres Perez de Lara and Rev Racing are gearing up for the culmination of their 2023 ARCA Menards Series (AMS) season at Toledo Speedway, marking the 20th and final race of the year. Situated in Toledo, Ohio, this track is a half-mile in length, a distance where Perez has consistently displayed his talent. Just last week, at the historic Salem Speedway, Perez delivered a performance matching his career-best finish in the AMS, securing a second-place finish on the half-mile circuit.

Throughout this season, despite navigating a series of almost entirely new tracks, Perez has maintained a level of consistency, currently holding the second position in the overall standings for the season. Perez has achieved top-5 finishes on nine separate occasions, including two second-place finishes, and has secured top-10 placements five additional times during the 20-race season. Perez’s performance, combined with Rev’s championship win in the AMS last season, serves as evidence of Rev Racing’s status as competition within the AMS.

Reflecting on the season, Perez expressed his gratitude, stating, “I have gained a lot of experience this season, and I am thankful for Rev Racing and Max Siegel. We have had resilience this season, earned invaluable lessons, and consistently performed at the highest level. While securing another championship would have been amazing, I believe we’ve demonstrated we can contend.” Regarding the upcoming race at Toledo, Perez added, “Our performance on short tracks has been really good in recent races, and I’ve learned a huge amount from Jamie Jones and the Rev Racing crew. My goal is to secure a victory at Toledo and end this season in Victory Lane.”

The No.2 Max Siegel Chevrolet team is preparing for the upcoming 100-mile race scheduled for this Saturday, October 7th. The final practice for the Shore Lunch 200 by CGS Imaging is set for 11:45 AM ET, followed by a 2-lap qualifying session at 1:00 PM ET. Sanchez Returning to Talladega Superspeedway

Sanchez Returning to Talladega Superspeedway

September 26, 2023

Concord, NC- Nick Sanchez and Rev Racing have secured their position within the round of 8 and have now shifted ambition to the cutoff line to secure a spot into the Championship 4. This pursuit is set to start at the iconic Talladega Superspeedway, a venue where Sanchez has previously demonstrated his talent.

Sanchez’s recent race at Bristol Motor Speedway was marked by resilience and determination, where he found himself starting from the 35th position due to being unable to qualify after needing to fix mechanical challenges. Undeterred by this setback, he clinched a 3rd place finish in Stage 2 and concluded the overall race in 9th place. This performance has reaffirmed his position in the standings, currently occupying the 7th spot, a mere 22 points adrift from 4th place. The young hopeful is now eager to earn enough points from Talladega and Homestead to keep the Rev Racing team in the running.

Nascar Craftsman Truck Series

Nick Sanchez’s history at the Talladega track speaks volumes. In the 2021 ARCA Menards Series (AMS) season, he secured an impressive 3rd-place finish, followed by a victory in the 2022 AMS season. Sanchez stated, “Talladega is well known in the world of racing, and I am eager to return following the weekend break. I intend to leverage my past experiences along with the guidance of mentors to secure a victory this season at Talladega. With speed in the No. 2 Gainbridge Chevrolet, I think we have a pretty good shot at parking in victory lane.”

The Love’s RV Stop 250 will kick off with qualifying sessions at 9:30 AM ET on Saturday, September 30th. The race itself is set for 1:00 PM ET on the same day, ushering in 250 miles of intense competition. Racing fans can watch live on FS1, Sirius XM, and Rev Racing’s social media platforms.

Rev Racing and Andres Perez de Lara Ready for Atlas 200

September 28, 2023

Concord, NC- After securing a third-place finish at Bristol Motor Speedway, Andres Perez de Lara and the Rev Racing team are gearing up for their next race on a half-mile track. Salem Speedway will host the upcoming ARCA Menards Series event, scheduled for Saturday, September 30th. This race, the 19th out of 20 in the season, promises to test the limits of the drivers.

Despite the unfamiliarity of Salem Speedway, Perez remains confident, especially after his impressive P.3 finish at Bristol. Throughout his debut full season in the AMS, Perez has consistently finished within the top 10, with only five exceptions, including a race at Daytona where he couldn’t compete due to age restrictions. In addition to his success with the No. 2 Max Siegel Inc. Chevrolet, Perez has achieved multiple podium finishes in races back home in Mexico.

Arca Menards Series

“While we currently hold the second position in the standings, it’s no secret that we haven’t secured a victory this season,” Perez commented. “We’ve come close and even secured a pole position, but victory lane has remained just out of reach. After my experience at Bristol and everything I’ve learned this year, I’m hopeful that I can bring home a win for the Rev Racing team before the season concludes.”

The No. 2 team is preparing for the 200-lap feature and is determined to achieve success. The ATLAS Roofing 200 is scheduled for this Saturday, September 30th. Practice is set to begin at 3:45 PM ET, followed by a 2-lap qualifying session at 5:15 PM ET. The race will kick off at 7:41 PM ET, covering a total of 111 miles. Fans can catch the action on FS2, Florracing.com, and Rev’s social media channels.
