DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (January 15, 2016) – After a competitive Combine event last October, six drivers were selected to the 2016 NASCAR Drive for Diversity® (D4D) class and will join the industry’s premier development program for multicultural and female drivers, and pit crew members.
Talented drivers from across the Americas will compete for Rev Racing in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and NASCAR Whelen All-American Series, and attempt to follow in the footsteps of D4D graduates and current NASCAR national series drivers Kyle Larson, Darrell Wallace Jr. and Daniel Suarez.
The 2016 class will be formally introduced to the industry as part of the Charlotte Motor Speedway NASCAR Media Tour on January 19.

Rev Racing will field four teams in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and two in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series. The 2016 class is led by returning driver Collin Cabre and newcomer Rubén Garcia Jr., fresh off his NASCAR Mexico Series championship last fall.
The 2016 D4D roster includes:
Collin Cabre: After an impressive first year with D4D in which he won the season finale at Dover International Speedway and finished in the top 10, the 22-year-old from Tampa will again compete in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East.
Rubén Garcia Jr.: At age 20, the Mexico City native won four races in the NASCAR Mexico Series en route to his first NASCAR championship. He brings his talents to the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East for his rookie season with Rev Racing.
Jairo Avila: The 20-year-old Colombian-American from Alhambra, Calif., made his NASCAR K&N Pro Series West debut in 2014 and achieved four top-10 finishes in five starts with his family-run team. He will compete in the K&N Pro Series East.
Ali Kern: The 22-year-old from Fremont, Ohio, had her best NASCAR D4D Combine last year after turning in strong performances in previous combine events. A second-place finisher in the ARCA/CRA Super Series, Kern will compete in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East.
Enrique Baca: Following an impressive showing at the Combine, Baca, 24, will race in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series. Baca is from Monterrey, Mexico, and competed in his native country’s Super Copa Telcel series in 2015.
Juan Garcia: Originally from Bogota, Colombia, Garcia, 18, earned the 2015 Wendell Scott Trailblazer Award for his competitiveness in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series. He will return to the series with Rev Racing following a strong performance at the Combine last fall.
Under Rev Racing owner and CEO Max Siegel’s leadership, NASCAR D4D aligns drivers with a team of executives, athletic directors, crew chiefs and mentors tasked with helping drivers achieve career successes; thus, improving their goal of reaching one of NASCAR’s three national series.

Since it began fielding D4D cars in 2010, Rev Racing has been the most consistent team in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, registering 17 total wins with six different drivers and at least one victory in each season. The 2016 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East season opener will take place on February 14 at New Smyrna Speedway in New Smyrna Beach, Fla., where Rev Racing scored a win with Suarez in 2014.
The 2015 NASCAR season featured a series of firsts and milestones for D4D alumni. Suarez and Wallace Jr. were in close contention to win Sunoco Rookie of the Year in the NASCAR XFINITY Series, with Suarez becoming the first Mexican driver to earn top rookie honors.
In 2015, more than 25 graduates of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Pit Crew Development Program, also run by Rev Racing, pitted for national series teams. Mike Russell, jackman for the No. 60 Roush Fenway Racing team in the NASCAR XFINITY Series, became the first African-American D4D graduate to win a national series championship.

Concord, NC (Apr. 7, 2016) – Rev Racing will partner with the Autism Society of East TN in honor of Autism Awareness month. With the organization’s presence at the next race, Rev Racing hopes to bring further awareness to this important subject.
NASCAR has been a long-time supporter of Autism Speaks, the national organization for the cause. Rev Racing is more than excited to continue to carry out this mission.
A group from Autism Society of East TN, including staff, parents and children, will join Rev Drivers at Bristol Motor Speedway on April 16th. Children will meet with Rev Drivers, sign autographs, be up close and personal with the race cars and have opportunities for photographs. Rev Racing will also be presenting a rear bumper cover to the organization, signed by the drivers and crew members. The Speedway will also offer a full schedule of events for fans, including a Kid and Fan Zone, a cornhole tournament, concerts and the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East autograph session beginning at 11 am.
“We love partnering with organizations to help bring about awareness and education. The Autism Society of East TN is a very active group that provides incredible support and service to the autistic community in TN,” said Christy Gormal, Rev Racing’s Chief Marketing Officer.” Rev Racing is an organization that strongly believes in providing opportunities for everyone. Being able to expose these children and their families to opportunities in the racing industry is exciting for us and hopefully inspiring to them.”
Driver of the #42 Braille Battery Toyota, Jairo Avila, Jr. (J.A.) is especially excited about this opportunity. As an advocate, J.A. makes an effort to inspire kids to be anything they want if they put their heart and minds to it.

Autism is a complex neurobiological disorder that typically lasts throughout a person’s lifetime. It is part of a group of pervasive developmental disorders known as Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) that significantly affect how a person perceives the world, interacts with others, and communicates. It is estimated that as many as 1 out of every 68 children born today will be diagnosed with some form of ASD.
“It’s a privilege to be a part of Autism Awareness Month in this way and to provide this opportunity to families and children through Rev Racing,” said Gormal. “It will be a special race. I hope we can continue to be an avenue for exposure to racing and young people who are fulfilling their goals, like our drivers.”

Rev Racing returns to the track for the second race of the season this Saturday, March 12 for the Mobile 150. After testing there last weekend, the 1/2 mile oval welcomes back Rev’s K&N Drivers, Collin Cabre, Ali Kern, Ruben Garcia and Jairo Avila, Jr.
Continuing from last season in the #2 UTI/NTI Toyota, Cabre finished p11 in New Smyrna. After holding a top-10 position for the majority in the season debut, Cabre aims for a top finish this weekend.
Finishing p20, 21, and p23 respectively, Ali Kern, Ruben Garcia and Jairo Avila Jr. are looking to make strides this weekend in their second race with Rev. Driver of the #4 MSI Toyota, Ali Kern gained position throughout the last race, finishing 5 positions above her qualifying effort. Manning the #6 NTI/Special Smiles Toyota, Garcia followed shortly behind after a consistent effort. Qualifying in the top 10 in New Smryna, Avila hopes to again start high and finish strong in the #42 Brialle Battery Toyota.
The Mobile 150 starts 2PM CST on Saturday. 
Madeline Crane, an 18-year-old Meansville, Georgia native, has joined this season’s NASCAR Drive for Diversity roster. Crane will drive for Rev Racing in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series.
Crane was named the first alternate after her performance in the October combine. She will make her debut with Rev Racing in place of Juan Garcia, who will pursue opportunities in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West.
Crane started racing Bandoleros at 10-years-old in the Thursday Night Thunder Series at Atlanta Motor Speedway. She finished her first season strong with two consecutive wins. She quickly moved into Legend cars, and by the time she was 14 she had already garnered 59 top-5 finishes in just 82 starts, and finished the year as the Pro Division Winter Flurry Champion.
At the age of 15, she again moved up and started racing Crate Late Models at Dixie Speedway. After another strong year, Crane finished her first season second in points. From there, she focused on driving Super Late Models.
“We are excited to have Maddie join our program,” said Max Siegel, Rev Racing team owner. “Crane has continued to show growth year-after-year during her combine evaluation. We are ready to get her in the car and prepared for the season ahead.”
Crane, along with her teammate Enrique Baca, will hit the track on Saturday, March 19th at Hickory Motor Speedway in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series season opener for Rev Racing.

Big news on the Rev Racing home front! No, my proposal for Fridays being strictly for golf and beers hasn’t passed. And no, no new sponsors were signed – which is unfortunate. Someone should really consider becoming a 2016 sponsor, so I can shamelessly plug you and your business.
On a high note, after a brief meeting and consultation, a handshake agreement was made between upper management and a new driver. The driver of an older model, yet shiny Roach Coach (food truck for those of you not familiar with the term). Since we really enjoy our snacks around here, this is very big news. Let’s just say that shop morale really picks up around 10:15 am every morning.
Other than that bombshell, it’s been all business in the shop. Each of our drivers did a very good job at bringing their respective cars home in one piece from New Smyrna. That is a very big deal for Rev Racing and owner, Max Siegel. We can actually focus our efforts on fine tuning and making our cars better, rather than fixing and rebuilding everything.
This past weekend we traveled to Mobile, AL for some pre-race testing. This is a great opportunity to further prepare the cars and the drivers for the race. We will head back to Mobile, this Thursday, for the NASCAR K&N Series Mobile 150. The race is set for March 12th at 2:00 pm. Here we come, Mobile!
Concord, NC (Feb. 16, 2016) Each year Rev Racing seeks to obtain the highest quality applicants representing diverse backgrounds and develop them into successful NASCAR drivers. Started by Max Siegel in 2009, Rev Racing also manages a youth racing initiative for kids 8-14 who want to compete in the INEX Bandolero and INEX Legend cars.
Youth applicants are evaluated by submission and invited to participate in a driver combine. Due to inclement weather, the 2016 drivers were unable to be assessed using the traditional method. Through a several week evaluation process, youth drivers were chosen by recommendation, historical success, and overall driving performance. “As it remains a goal of ours to focus on the growth and development of both our academy-style program and youth participants, we want to connect with these drivers as early as possible,” said Max Siegel, owner of Rev Racing. “The sooner we can start providing the proper guidance to these individuals, the more prepared they are to grow into different series.”
This year, Rev Racing will offer a Legend Car ride to returning youth driver Austin Geer and new-comer Hailie Deegan. Geer returns for his third season as the youngest member of the Rev Racing team. Geer was the recipient of the NASCAR Young Racer Award in 2014. During the 2015 season he scored two Top 3s and five Top 5s for the Rev Racing team. Austin spent his 13th birthday testing a Legend Car preparing for his move up to the bigger, faster cars. In his first Legends race in December at the Charlotte 5th mile, Austin scored a Top-10 finish. During the Winter break Austin has been training on racing simulators to help prepare him as he has his eyes set on Rookie of the Year honors in the Legends series. Geer one day wants to see his name among notable alumni Kyle Larson, Daniel Suarez, and Darrell Wallace Jr.
Hailie Deegan, daughter of famed X Games and off road phenomenon racer Brian Deegan, has been racing since she was eight years old – and has found success from the start. At just 13 years old, Deegan competed on the Lucas Oil Off Road Racing Series in the Modified Kart class. She was the first female to the podium, taking first place at Glen Helen Raceway. A few short weeks later, Deegan again found her way to the podium, this time scoring a third place finish at Lake Elsinore. In 2015, Deegan collected a series Regional Championship, seven Regional podium finishes and five Mod Class National series podium finishes. Deegan has since found her way to other racing series, committing to each opportunity and aggressively looking for the next chance to take the track.
Both drivers will compete in the 2016 Summer Shootout, located in Charlotte NC.

INDIANAPOLIS, IN (November 22, 15) – Max Siegel, native Indianapolis resident and nationally-renowned sports and entertainment executive, finds himself in the forefront of yet another victorious moment in his professional career. Siegel, who is currently the fourth CEO of USA Track & Field (USATF), also owns and manages Rev Racing, the competition arm of NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity Program. Rev Racing serves as the NASCAR-supported racing team charged with developing female and minority drivers, and pit crew members in the NASCAR development series for future competition at NASCAR’s highest levels.
Under Siegel’s management, Rev Racing has continued to field drivers in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and Nationwide and Sprint Cup Series since 2010. This past weekend, as NASCAR’s touring season came to a close, two NASCAR Drive for Diversity graduates have made history as the first Drive for Diversity winners in their respective fields. Daniel Suarez, is the first Mexican Sunoco Rookie of the Year and Mike Russell, crew jackman, has become the first African-American Drive for Diversity graduate to be part of a championship-winning team. On top of that, Rev Racing alum Kyle Larson won the season closer at Homestead for the NASCAR XFINITY Series race.
Rev Racing also experienced two wins in the 2015 season in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, where the team hosts six drivers. Hispanic driver Collin Cabre became the sixth driver from the NASCAR Drive For Diversity Program to win a NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race and gave Rev Racing and Siegel, which has fielded the competition team for the program since 2010, its 17th win. Jay Beasley also captured the Coca-Cola Move of the Race Award for the entire 2015 season.
“For the last seven years Rev Racing has managed the D4D Program,” said Siegel. “We could not be more proud of the success of our drivers and pit crew graduates, such as Russell. As Siegel’s success rate continues to soar, he is focused on providing the same opportunities for others to pave their way as well. Siegel and NASCAR’s Diversity Program hosted their 12th annual Combine at Langley Speedway in Hampton, Va. on October 21st. Twenty-two drivers competed for one of six spots in the motorsports industry’s top driver development program at Rev Racing. Siegel is focused on finding the next set of talented drivers to take the track and follow his consistent professional winning streak.

For its 5th consecutive year, the NASCAR Drive for Diversity (D4D) Combine will take place in Hampton. A NASCAR-sanctioned initiative, the success of the Drive for Diversity Combine is largely contributed to the support of its partners and year-round sponsors.
D4D partner, Langley Speedway, will host the combine, drivers and officials on October 19th – October 21st. Langley Speedway is a NASCAR-sanctioned track that hosts more than fifty percent of Rev Racing’s Whelen All-American Series races throughout the year. The track currently hosts 11 divisions which alternate running during their Saturday night program: Late Models, Grand Stock, Modifieds, K&N Pro Series East, Legend Cars, Super Street, UCAR, Pro Six, Super Trucks, HRKC Pro Winged Champ Karts, Bandoleros, Enduros, and the Whelen Southern Modified Tour.
In addition to the on-track performance evaluations that will take place at Langley Speedway, the participants will be evaluated on physical fitness conducted by pit crew coach Phil Horton at Hampton University.

Rev Racing’s partnership with Hampton University has extended outside just the use of their facilities. Management at Rev Racing has worked year-round with students in the sports management program as well as the school of business at Hampton. Students and faculty have worked jointly with Rev Racing on research projects, strategies and distribution tactics of the team’s social media platform.
Before hitting the track, combine participants and Hampton students will go through an afternoon media and PR training session at the Scripps Howard School of Journalism and Communication.

CHARLOTTE, NC – After rain postponed Friday’s Drive Sober 125 race at the Monster Mile, Rev Racing drivers were uncertain with their ability to run in the final competition of the season. The team found themselves back at the track Saturday morning in the middle of additional rain, NASCAR Sprint Cup practice and the NASCAR Xfinity race.
Rev Racing drivers finally hit the track at 12:30 p.m., without qualifications or practice. The delay and lack of track time, however, didn’t slow down Sunoco Rookie of the Year candidate Collin Cabre. The 21-year-old from Tampa, Florida, scored his first K&N Pro series East career victory.
Cabre became the sixth driver from the NASCAR Drive For Diversity Program to win a NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race and gave Rev Racing, which has fielded the competition team for the program since 2010, its 17th win.
“I wasn’t really sure what to expect having had no opportunity to practice or feel out the track,” said Cabre. “The car just felt great and my crew guided me into a comfort zone. I realized we not only had an opportunity to be competitive, but to actually win this thing. I put everything I had into it and we won.”
Cabre started the race in 12th position, as the starting lineup was set according to the rulebook. Cabre’s No. 2 UTI/NTI Toyota crossed the finish line 6.454 seconds in front of series veteran Eddie MacDonald. Cabre will finish his rookie season 10th in overall point standings.
“I think the best thing about working with Collin this season was his willingness to listen and take in as much information as we could throw at him,” stated Crew Chief Matt Bucher. “Every situation we’ve run into this year, he has never doubted what we have done or asked of him. This goes a long way with our confidence in him and his confidence in us as a crew. The more he races, the better he gets and I’m sure Dover won’t be his last trip to victory lane.”
Kenzie Ruston, driver of the No. 4 Sunoco Toyota, started in 11th position and finished the race in 13th position. Ruston had her best ever Dover finish, as historically this track has posed a challenge. Ruston will finish the season 11th in overall point standings.
Devon Amos, driver of the No. 6 Honda Generator Toyota, started in 15th position and finished the race in 12th position. Amos fluctuated back and forth several spots throughout the race, battling for position as the checkered approached. Amos will finish the season 14th in overall point standings.
Jay Beasley, driver of the No. 4 Special Smiles Toyota, started in 10th position and finished the race in 21st position. As the green flag waved, Beasley quickly moved up several spots to P7. Approaching lap 15 Beasley had a left front tire blow, which forced him to the garage for timely repairs. His crew got him back on the track to finish the Drive Sober 125 for his return to the K&N Pro Series. Beasley will finish the season 16th in overall point standings after missing three races this 2015 season.
Rev Racing drivers will focus on the 2015 NASCAR Drive for Diversity Combine, as it is set to take place October 19th -21st at Langley Speedway. Other participants competing for the 2016 class will be announced this week. 
CHARLOTTE, NC – Rev Racing rounds out the K&N Pro Series East season 
Last weekend, Rev Racing took to Richmond International Raceway for the UNOH 100. While Rev was ready for another victory, poor weather conditions put the race in jeopardy.
Rain delayed race day activities for several hours, interrupting and ultimately canceling qualifying efforts. In lack of qualifying, owner’s points dictated starting order, putting Rev drivers #42 Sergio Peña, #4 Kenzie Ruston, #2 Collin Cabre and #6 Devon Amos in p9, p11, p12 and p15 respectively.
Starting the race in the top-15, Rev held onto their positions and pushed for a top-10. However, a caution lap 18 sent some Rev drivers into pit row, causing them to continue the race fighting to regain their position. #2 Collin Cabre held onto the top-15 for much of the race, while #4 Kenzie Ruston reached p22 after her p29 restart by lap 60.
As Rev drivers continued to advance, rain once again derailed race plans and caused an eight lap caution starting on lap 61. While rain persisted, all drivers shifted into pit row to wait out the weather. Unfortunately, weather was not on our side and the race ended prematurely on lap 69. #2 Collin Cabre finished p17, #4 Kenzie Ruston in p22, #6 Devon Amos in p29, and #42 Sergio Peña in p31.
Rev Racing returns to the rack in October, for the Drive Sober 150 at Dover International Speedway. 
Concord, NC. (August 25, 2015) – This past weekend at Virginia International Raceway, Rev Racing and the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Program earned another checkered flag to add to its sixth consecutive winning season. This first place finish will mark the 16th win for Rev Racing in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East division.
Sergio Peña, Rev Racing alumni and fill-in driver of the No. 42 Special Smiles Pediatric Dentistry Toyota, battled his way to the finish line to collect his fifth career win in the NKPSE. The 22-year-old Virginia native took advantage of this driving opportunity, as former teammate Jay Beasley is continuing to receive medical treatment. Peña also received the Coca-Cola Move of the Race Award.
On lap 59 Peña was in fifth position on the final restart and quickly moved up to third after the race leader spun in turn 1, allowing the No. 51 to take the lead. Going into turn 7, the No. 51 went off the track leaving the No. 3 and Peña in the battle for the lead. The two cars made slight contact and Peña was able to use the inside line to stay out front and take the checkered.
“Peña has road course experience. He is a fearless, yet focused driver. If he has an opportunity to win, he is going to take it,” said Jefferson Hodges, Rev Racing Director of Competition. “We are extremely proud of the No. 42 team and our development program, as we continue to find ourselves with winning seasons year after year. This race will mark the 16th win for our organization and I foresee continued success as we bring our season to a close.”
Rookie Collin Cabre (No. 2 UTI/NTI Toyota) also had a very impressive finish, garnering his first NKPSE top-5. Cabre and team ran a solid race, positioning him for place advancement within the last 5 laps of the race. Cabre is now in 11th position in points standings.
Kenzie Ruston piloting the No. 4 Rev Racing Toyota, was in position to finish the race in the top-5 when she slid off the track on lap 51 leaving her with a 14th place finish. Ruston still remains in 10th position in point standings.
Devon Amos (No. 6 MSI Toyota) qualified in 8th position and pushed his way to the top-5 on lap 12. Unfortunately, on lap 27, Amos experienced some steering issues moving him on to pit row. After a crew assessment he was unable to return to the track. Currently, Amos is 14th in point standings.
The Biscuitville 150 will air on NBCSN on Thursday, Sept. 3 at 7 p.m.
The NASCAR K&N Pro Series East returns to the track UNOH 100 at Richmond International Raceway on Thursday, Sept. 10th. 
Charlotte, NC, – Rev Racing and NASCAR Multicultural Development have decided to host a separate combine for the 2015 NASCAR Drive for Diversity youth participants.
“Separating the youth participants from the late model and K&N drivers allows us a unique opportunity to spend more time and communicate with each driver. This can provide a learning opportunity for these young aspiring drivers regardless if they are selected for program,” said Max Siegel, owner of Rev Racing. “As it remains a goal of ours to focus on the growth and development of both our academy-style program and youth participants, we want to have complete focus when it comes to evaluation and performance measurement.”
Each year the NASCAR Drive for Diversity initiative and its competition arm, Rev Racing, seek to obtain the highest quality of applicants representing diverse backgrounds and develop them into successful NASCAR drivers. The deadline to be considered for the 2015 NASCAR Drive for Diversity Youth Combine is September 11, 2015. Youth combine participants will be evaluated on their driving skills and past experience on November 2nd at Concord Motorsports Park, located in Charlotte, NC. The general NASCAR Drive for Diversity Combine is accepting applications until September 4, 2015 and will take place October 19-21 at Langley Speedway in Hampton, VA.
