CHARLOTTE, NC – Rev Racing rounds out the K&N Pro Series East season this Friday at Dover International Speedway for the Drive Sober 125. Known as the “Monster Mile,” Dover’s one-mile track will serve as the host for the 14^th and final race of the season. Rev drivers are eager to get back behind the wheel after a rained-out race in Richmond. Dover is a track Rev Racing is all too familiar with and a common stop in previous K&N seasons. Rev alumni Darrell Wallace Jr. is even the only multi-time polesitter at Dover. With final standings on everyone’s mind, Rev’s four K&N drivers hope to finish the season off strong. Currently P10 in points standings, driver Kenzie Ruston will head to Dover in the #4 Sunoco Toyota. After a consistent track record of season successes, Ruston saw her last top-5 at Motordrome Speedway in mid-August. Historically, Dover has been a challenge for Ruston both in qualifying and finishing. She and her team are more than prepared to change the end of the season outcome. #2 Universal Technical Institute Toyota driver Collin Cabre heads into Friday’s race after a rookie season of consistent improvement. Cabre added his first K&N top-10 to his resume in July at Iowa Speedway and continues to qualify within the top-10. He hopes to finish the season strong and return in 2016. Cabre is currently P11 in points standings. Devon Amos will finish his rookie K&N season this Friday. Currently in P14 in points standings, Amos is prepared to do whatever it takes to close the season out on a high note. Jay Beasley will make his return with Rev Racing on Friday, manning the #42 Special Smiles Toyota. Beasley was cleared by NASCAR to race and is focused on finishing out the season in the No. 42. After missing 3 races, Beasley is still sitting at P16.

Last weekend, Rev Racing took to Richmond International Raceway for the UNOH 100. While Rev was ready for another victory, poor weather conditions put the race in jeopardy. Rain delayed race day activities for several hours, interrupting and ultimately canceling qualifying efforts. In lack of qualifying, owner’s points dictated starting order, putting Rev drivers #42 Sergio Peña, #4 Kenzie Ruston, #2 Collin Cabre and #6 Devon Amos in p9, p11, p12 and p15 respectively. Starting the race in the top-15, Rev held onto their positions and pushed for a top-10. However, a caution lap 18 sent some Rev drivers into pit row, causing them to continue the race fighting to regain their position. #2 Collin Cabre held onto the top-15 for much of the race, while #4 Kenzie Ruston reached p22 after her p29 restart by lap 60. As Rev drivers continued to advance, rain once again derailed race plans and caused an eight lap caution starting on lap 61. While rain persisted, all drivers shifted into pit row to wait out the weather. Unfortunately, weather was not on our side and the race ended prematurely on lap 69.  #2 Collin Cabre finished p17, #4 Kenzie Ruston in p22, #6 Devon Amos in p29, and #42 Sergio Peña in p31. Rev Racing returns to the rack in October, for the Drive Sober 150 at Dover International Speedway.

Jay Beasley’s Top-5 performance this past weekend didn’t come as a surprise to the Rev Racing veteran, nor his crew. Prior to the Bowman Gray race, Beasley and his crew chief decided to change his car set-up to one that had proven successful at Bowman Gray, Langley, and Columbus in past years. Therefore, with proven set-up, all Beasley would have to do is use his driving acumen to deliver a top-5 worthy performance; and he did just that. Beasley’s time at Langley Speedway was a little up and down. With the opportunity to test the day prior to the race, he and his crew chief decided to experiment a little with the hopes of gaining a few tenths. As a result, Beasley spent nearly the entire five-hour practice in the seat, with both positive and negative results. Unfortunately, the positive results didn’t immediately translate come race day. During first practice Beasley barely secured the 15^th fastest time. However, with a little more tinkering Beasley was able to reel off the sixth fastest time by the conclusion of second practice. Shortly afterwards, Beasley qualified 12^th for the race. His qualifying effort wasn’t as favorable as he would have like, however the Las Vegas native remained unfazed. Ultimately verified during the race, Beasley’s qualifying effort was not a foreshowing of the race, yet a mere sign that it was going to take more than 2 laps for him to find his groove. Sure enough, after Beasley took the green flag he slowly but surely made his way through the pack over the course of the 175-lap race. He listened to his spotter, utilized straight-aways, and capitalized on opponent’s mistakes until he improved enough to take the checkered in fifth. One of the most daunting aspects of the race was not a single performance, but the effects of the field going nearly 70-80 laps without a caution. At one point during the race, it was nearly impossible to determine placing as only 10 out of 24 cars competing were on the lead lap. Finally a caution with 30 or so laps to go allowed everyone to regroup. But the laps leading up to that were definitely a spectacle rarely seen in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. Beasley’s teammates had a solid night as well as they all managed to finish inside of the top-15. Kenzie Ruston, Devon Amos, and Collin Cabre finished the Visit Hampton VA 175 in 12^th, 14^th and 15^th, respectively.

Concord, NC (June 1, 2015) – In what turned out to be an uncharacteristically tame night at the Mad House, Rev Racing was able to finish with 3 top-10’s and 1 top-5. Jay Beasley set the pace for his teammates by securing a fourth place finish and bringing home his first top-5 of the 2015 season. After stellar qualifying effort for the second year in a row, Beasley took the green flag in seventh place. However, much to the dismay of race fans who only come to Bowman Gray to see a dog fight, there was very little action from that point forward. There weren’t any wrecks on restarts, on the rare occasion there was one, and the physical racing was kept to a minimum. Therefore, Beasley’s ability to take advantage of a few mistakes made by his competitors ultimate allowed him to coast to a top-5. “Feel like we had a really good car, and we need a little bit more to win the race. However, going into Langley I really feel that we can win. I’m not going to be happy unless we’re in the thick of it at the end. From here on out, we’re going to be really fast so I’m not going to be content until we win” Not too far behind Beasley was his teammates Devon Amos who finished the Hall of Fame 150 in 6^th place. Unlike his teammate, Amos, who qualified in 10^th had a few obstacles to overcome on the way to his first top-10 of the season. At one point in the race, Amos had fallen as far back as 13^th. However, after avoiding a pile-up mid-way through the race which sent four drivers ahead of him to the back of the pack, he was able to return to the top-10. The third Rev Racing member to place inside of the Top-10 was Kenzie Ruston. Ruston finished ninth after qualifying 11^th. Rev Racing’s leading lady had a solid night on the track, and though she had to fend off a few defenders, she was ultimately able to coast through the race Last, but not least, Collin Cabre finished the race in 17^th place, respectively. Concord NC (May 29, 2015) – All of the tactics and strategies used at the tracks leading up to this weekend’s outing at Bowman Gray will go out the window. Bowman Gray isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s nicknamed the Mad House for a reason. When drivers enter the Mad House, they race by a different set of rules. The .25-mile paved flat oval is the NASCAR equivalent to stepping inside of a gladiator ring. It’s a fight to the finish in which there are, metaphorically, many casualties. There is only one strategy when racing at Bowman Gray: stay in the front of the pack or survive the clutter in the middle long enough to make it there. Ultimately, while fans come to cheer their favorite drivers to victory, the middle of the pack is what they really come to see. The bumping, the banging, the sliding, the crashing, the cautions, and the controversy are what make the NASCAR Hall of Fame 150 so appealing. The dropping of the green flag is essentially the commencement of a ticking time bomb waiting to go off. And similar to past year, there is little doubt that sparks will fly this coming Saturday. Leading the way at the Mad House will be none other than Jay Beasley and Kenzie Ruston. Last Season, Jay Beasley (No. 42 Special Smiles Toyota) had the best qualifying effort of the entire Rev Racing team. He was the only member to qualify within the Top-10 and was fortunately able to utilize his qualifying position to secure a 9^th place finish. Similar to her teammate, Kenzie Ruston (No. 4 Rev Racing Toyota) was also able to secure a top-10 finish last year at the Mad House as a member of Ben Kennedy Racing. Ruston and Crew Chief Mark Green have found the formula for consistency with regard to Ruston’s car set-up. The next step for these two will be to use said consistency to replicate last year’s top-10 effort to help bolster the statistic sheet for Rev Racing. Devon Amos (No. 6 MSI Toyota) and Collin Cabre (No. 2 UTI/NTI Toyota) will both be competing at the Made House for the first time in their young NASCAR K&N Pro Series East Careers. However, as both drivers accumulate more races under their belt, their confidence has grown tremendously since the inaugural race at New Smyrna. Amos is confident that had it not been for an unavoidable accident at Iowa, he was on par for the first top-10 finish of his career. Consequently, Amos enters this weekend’s race with a chip on his shoulder as he felt he was robbed. Fortunately for him, a chip on one’s shoulder is exactly what is needed to survive 150 laps at the Mad House! Concord, NC (May 18, 2015) – Rev Racing’s K&N drivers took on Iowa Speedway this past weekend for the Casey’s General Store 150, a nearly 132 mile race on “the fastest short track on the planet.” After a difficult bout on April 21 in Bristol, the Rev Racing team returned to the track motivated. For a track known for its difficulty to pass, Rev Racing defied the odds and made strides toward a top-10 finish. Devon Amos, driving the #66 Max Siegel Inc. Toyota, had a solid practice, placing him in the top-15 qualifying positions after final practice. With a few adjustments, Amos was the first to take to the track for qualifying and ultimately secured P18.  After the green flag, Amos spent the majority of the race pushing through to the top-15. With ten laps to go, Amos found himself leading the Rev team with a stronghold on P12 ready to break the top-10 by the end of the race. Unfortunately, an interaction between the #7 and the #98 spun #98 in front of Amos, damaging his front body beyond repair and sending him out of the race with only 8 laps to go. Amos finished P25, despite the incident. Manning the #2 UTI/NTI Toyota, Collin Cabre qualified P31, after finding himself in the in P30 and above positions during practice. However, the placement didn’t deter Cabre as he steadily moved up throughout the race, eventually finding himself in P22 for the checkered flag, a nine-position advancement. Kenzie Ruston, behind the wheel of the #4 L&M Toyota, wasted little time turning her P22 spot into a position in the top-20. Within 20 laps, Ruston made her way to P19 and placed herself well to continue passing throughout the race. However, a blown left rear tire set Ruston back mid-race as she rushed into pit. Returning P34, Ruston worked her way forward once more and eventually finished nine positions ahead, at P25. #42 Special Smiles Pediatric Dentistry Toyota driver Jay Beasley also made an outstanding drive, advancing 11 positions before the checkered flag. Qualifying P22, Beasley was one of the brave drivers to ride the top of the track and consistently move up throughout the race. Edging alongside #66 Devon Amos for a period of time, battling between P17 and P18, Beasley eventually rode through the pack and found himself P14 with 30 laps to go. After multiple cautions in the last 30 laps, Beasley used the restart to his advantage and finished P12. The team continues their K&N Pro Series East season Saturday, May 30 at Bowman Gray Stadium in Winston-Salem, NC for the NASCAR Hall of Fame 150. Concord, NC (May 12, 2015) – Despite a larger than usual car count due to additional competitors from the NASCAR Pro Series West, Iowa Speedway has traditionally been a track where drivers under the tutelage of Director of Competition Jefferson Hodges have experienced much success. In the two showings at Iowa Speedway last season, the Rev Racing teams accumulated two top-5s and three top-10s in addition to two 11^th place finishes. Most notably, the first race at Iowa Speedway marked Jay Beasley’s breakout performance of the 2014 season. After qualifying 9th, Beasley went on the finish the race in 4th and secure his first career top-5. His dominance in the Casey’s General Store 150 ended up being the catalyst for a dominant streak that saw the likes of three more top-10s over the next four races When asked what about Iowa Speedway jump-started Beasley’s season, he responded,  “I really like the speed of the track. It’s one of the tracks I feel really comfortable at. Nothing was wrong with my cars leading up to Iowa last year. It just took a while to figure out the right set up. After trying some things we found that formula at Iowa and the results showed. And we continued with that formula and the results continued to show. This year Skip has been working really hard and trying a few new things to make sure I’m as comfortable as possible in the car so I’m confident that we’ll have another good race this year. “ Beasley’s teammate Kenzie Ruston will also be focused on replicating last year’s success at Iowa Speedway.  Mechanical issues derailed what was panning out to be a top-10 performance in her first outing. However, she bounced back magnificently in her second outing. Ruston not only drove her way to a 2^nd place finish, but she also drove her way into the record books as the highest finishing female in NASCAR K&N Pro Series history. Ruston and Crew Chief Mark Green have already garnered one top-10 this season. If the two of them can find the same formula that was used in Ruston’s second outing at Iowa in 2014, it’s likely that Ruston could be on the brink of another historic performance in 2015. Rounding out the Rev Racing team are newcomers Devon Amos and Collin Cabre who will both be competing at Iowa for the first time in their NKNPSE careers. The larger car count and addition of NKNPSW drivers will provide a unique challenge that each of the rookie drivers has yet to experience. However, each of their Crew Chiefs along with Hodges will make sure that both drivers are well prepared to manage the task at hand. Concord, NC (April 21, 2015) – This past weekend at Bristol proved to be a tough outing for the Rev Racing team. Veteran Jay Beasley was the lone Rev Racing driver to finish the brutal 125 lap race. He was having a decent race for the first 100 laps, however his night was derailed when he pulled out of line too soon on a restart and got black-flagged. He subsequently had to serve the penalty under green had was sent to the back of the pack. Tire and mechanical issues seemed to plague Beasley’s teammates. Teammate Cabre blew a front right tire one third of the way through the race. The car experienced slight damage but was very much still drivable. Cabre pitted, the tire was changed, and he rejoined the field. However, 5 laps later the front right surprisingly blew again causing Cabre to hit the wall. This time, the damage to the car was too drastic to return to the race. Amos was solid for the first 50 laps or so of the race. However, similar to the number 2, Amos blew a front right tire and hit the wall. Ultimately, the damage to his vehicle was too substantial to continue racing. Ruston was sidelined when toward the beginning of the race when a blown head gasket caused her motor filled up with water. Her crew thought there might have been an issue with the radiator until they pulled the plugs and realized that the head gasket on the left side of the motor was busted. Concord, NC (April 15, 2015) – In what will be the first companion race of the season, Rev Racing will head to Bristol Motor Speedway in hopes of taming the world’s fastest ½ mile. Last season’s race at Bristol pushed all five Rev Racing teams to their limits. After a tough 125 laps of racing, Jay Beasley was one of only two Rev Racing drivers to finish the race. However, a roster full of new faces gives Rev Racing a fresh start heading into the weekend. And, the lone returnee from last year’s NKNPSE team goes into the race with experience on his side. Jay Beasley (No. 42 Special Smiles Toyota) – The Las Vegas, Nevada native will be asked to lead his teammates into the PittLite 125 at Bristol Motor Speedway. Beasley has improved drastically from the driver he was entering last year’s event. Beasley entered 2014’s race with hardly any NKNPSE experience and outperformed all of his veteran teammates. However, this year Beasley is the veteran, and hopes to once again lead by example.  Kenzie Ruston (No. 4 Rev Racing Toyota) – Although Ruston has raced at Bristol Motor Speedway many times, this weekend will mark the first time she will be competing at Bristol as a member of Rev Racing. Though this track can be intimidating to most, the El Reno, Oklahoma native has a solid grasp of what it takes to perform well at the speedway. Last season, Ruston entered the race with a solid vehicle and was on her way to a top-10 finish before incidental contact derailed her campaign. Nonetheless, Ruston is confident that she will be able to replicate late season’s effort and bring home the top-10 that eluded her last season. Devon Amos (No. 6 MSI Toyota) – The PittLite 125 will mark the first time the Rio Rancho, New Mexico native has competed at Bristol Motor Speedway. For Amos, it will be key to remain poised and let the race come to him. For a NKNPSE novice, he will need to remain calm and follow the strategy put forth by his crew chief. If Amos can successfully do so, he will like where he stands come the end of the race. Collin Cabre (No. 2 UTI/NTI Toyota) – Similar to Amos, Cabre is another NKNPSE novice at Bristol. The Rev Racing newcomer has shown that he is fundamentally sound with his racing technique. While his patience and driving led to a decent race last time out at Greenville Pickens, such prowess is crucial at Bristol Motor Speedway; a track that is known for being unkind to undisciplined drivers. If Cabre can build off of his last performance, he should have a solid weekend. Qualifying for the PittLite 125 begins at 5:00pm on Thursday. The autograph session will take place from 12:15 – 1:00pm on Saturday, followed by the PittLite 125 at 4:30pm EST. Concord, NC (April 2, 2015) – After an extended break following the inaugural race, the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East returns to action this coming Saturday for the Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 150 at Greenville Pickens Speedway. Though Rev Racing competed in the Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 150 with a completely different roster last season, the team witnessed one driver finish in the top-5 and three finish in the top-10. Needless to say, this year’s foursome has some big shoes to fill. Leading the way for Rev Racing is none other than veteran Kenzie Ruston. After kicking off her season and Rev Racing career with a top-10 finish, momentum for the 2015 season is already on Ruston’s side. In both races at Greenville Pickens Speedway last season, Ruston finished twelfth. Therefore, Ruston’s goal this time around is to finish 10th or better in order to continue solidifying her growth as a drivers. However, Ruston hasn’t been the only driver preparing for this weekend’s race. Teammates Collin Cabre, Jay Beasley, and Devon Amos have been diligently preparing themselves over the seven week intermission. Every day has been a matter of improving through physical training with Coach Phil Horton, collaborating with their crew members on their K&N cars, or mentoring the Whelen All-American Series drivers at their races. Of the aforementioned trio, Beasley is the only driver to have competed at Greenville Pickens speedway. In his previous two stints, Beasley was unable to finish better than 14th. However, things are different for Beasley this year. He’s more experienced and has a different crew chief. And the Las Vegas native is adamant that those two factors will make a drastic difference. “Skip is going to have my car dialed in. Although I’m not a fan of the long break we’ve had, it’s given Skip and I a chance to really discuss our strategy and what we need to focus on for the upcoming race. My crew and set-up are drastically different from last year. And the hard work that Skip and Richard have put into my car has really allowed my confidence to grow and I couldn’t be more appreciative and excited for Greenville,” said Beasley. Two-lap qualifying begins at 6:00pm, followed by the on-track autograph session at 7:00pm. The Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 150 will begin at 8:00pm EST. Concord, NC (Feb. 19, 2015) – Kenzie Ruston is a proven commodity in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. The El Reno, Oklahoma native has consistently performed well in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East for the past two seasons. The only question surrounding Ruston’s Rev Racing debut was how should would adapt to a new car and a new crew. By the end of the night, both questions were answered. And if Sunday’s top-10 finish is any inclination of the year to come, Ruston is in for a championship caliber season. Although Ruston had an excellent end to her night, there was still an adjustment period early on. The 22-year-old experienced some obstacles and struggled to post a time better than 14^th throughout practice. Her struggles continued through qualifying and Ruston ultimately began the race outside of the top-20. However, despite her early struggles, the veteran driver remained poised and optimistic. With dozens of races already under her belt, it was going to take more than a few early struggles to deter Ruston. After taking the Green flag, Ruston wasted little time cracking the top-20. Eventually after increasing her standing to 19^th, her teammates, Jay Beasley and Collin Cabre, trailed in the following two positions. The three of them would go on to race a decent portion of the race in this tandem, moving through the pack in a synchronize effort. By lap 93, Ruston began to distance herself from her teammates and was threatening to crack the top-10. After a few subsequent cautions, Ruston was finally able to crack the top-10 with just under 25 laps to go. Over the final few laps of the race, a couple more cautions allowed a few competitors to impose on Ruston’s position every time she managed to create some separation. However, Ruston ultimately fought off all challengers and was able to hold on to her 10^th place position through the checkered flag. Additionally, Ruston’s teammate Cabre was able to battle to a 15^th place finish in his Rev Racing debut after spinning out mid-way through the race and damaging the tail end of his vehicle. Unfortunately, remaining teammates Beasley and Amos were unable to finish the race. Rev Racing will return to the track on April 4, 2015 for the Kevin Whitaker Chevrolet 150 at Greenville Pickens Speedway. Concord, NC (Feb. 11, 2015) – When the K&N drivers take the green flag at New Smyrna for the inaugural race of the 2015 season, it will mark a new era for Rev Racing. With three fresh faces competing in the NKNPSE for Rev Racing this season, our team will welcome new beginnings while looking to build upon the legacy established by previous drivers who have come through the program. Leading the charge for Rev Racing will be Jay Beasley, the lone returnee from last year’s NKNPSE roster. Jay Beasley (No. 42 Special Smiles Toyota) – The Las Vegas, Nevada native had a stellar 2014 season, finishing 13^th in the overall point standings and 6^th in the Sunoco Rookie of the Year voting. For Beasley, last year was defined by progression. At first, Beasley experienced some struggles as it took some time for him to acclimate to the NKNPSE. However, by seasons end, Beasley was driving with the acumen and prowess of a veteran. Now that Beasley has gained the knowledge and experience to win, he wants to show that he can consistently perform at a championship level. And what better place to begin than New Smyrna where he watched former teammate Daniel Suarez dominate in a season which led to Suarez’s Xfinity Series deal. Kenzie Ruston (No. 4 Rev Racing Toyota) – Although she is a new racer to the Rev Racing roster, Kenzie Ruston is far from a rookie in the NKNPSE. Ruston is a proven driver within the series. For the El Reno, Oklahoma native, the only unanswered question is how will she adjust to a new car and new crew. However, considering the 22-year-old finished 9^th in the 2014 overall point standing, it is doubtful she will waste time and will quickly establish herself as one of the top performers in the series. Devon Amos (No. 6 MSI Toyota) – The Hart to Heart Breast Cancer Foundation 150 will not only mark Amos’ first time competing at New Smyrna, but it will mark the first time the Rio Rancho, New Mexico native has competed in the NKNPSE. Respectively, Amos is a product of the Rev Racing system. Starting in Legends and working his way up to the NKNPSE, Competition Director Jefferson Hodges has coached Amos to success in every series he has competed in. Furthermore, despite Amos’ status as a rookie in the series, under the leadership and tutelage of Hodges, it is expected that Amos will once again rise to the occasion and become a force in the NKNPSE. Collin Cabre (No. 2 UTI/NTI Toyota) – Cabre is a fresh face to both Rev Racing and the NKNPSE. Similar to teammate Amos, the series, as well as New Smyrna Speedway, will be new territory for the Tampa, Florida native. How well Collin will fair in the series is yet to be determined. However, Cabre impressed enough NASCAR officials at the Drive for Diversity Combine to earn a spot on our 2015 roster. If he can replicate the same driving competence moving forward, the 21-year-old should have a solid season. CONCORD, N.C. — – NASCAR Drive for Diversity (D4D), the leading development platform for female and multicultural drivers and pit crew members, announced its 2015 class today. The program welcomes four talented program newcomers to the six-driver roster striving to transition into the sport’s national series spotlight. Rev Racing, the program’s competition arm, has played a key role in the development of 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year Kyle Larson and NASCAR XFINITY Series drivers Darrell Wallace Jr. and Daniel Suarez. “Taking steps to find and develop young female and multicultural athletes who could represent the future of NASCAR is at the core of our organization’s mission,” said Jim Cassidy, NASCAR senior vice president of racing operations. “We were impressed by the talent displayed at the Combine [in October of 2014], and are eager to help this group find their own strengths on and off the track.” Rev Racing will field four teams in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and two in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series. The 2015 class is led by returning members Devon Amos, who after an impressive 2014 performance in the Whelen All-American Series earned a spot in the K&N Series and K&N Pro Series driver Jay Beasley The 2015 roster includes: Devon Amos: Returning to the team, the 23-year-old Rio Rancho, New Mexico, native will make the jump to the K&N Pro Series East after two full seasons in the Whelen All-American Series. Jay Beasley: Finishing 13th overall and sixth in a loaded Sunoco Rookie of the Year field in the K&N Pro Series East last season, the 23-year-old from Las Vegas, Nevada will return for a second season with Rev Racing, aiming to best his rookie season. Collin Cabre: After an impressive D4D Combine performance, the 21-year-old Thonotosassa, Florida, native will compete in the K&N Pro Series East in his first year with Rev Racing. Cabre has spent the past five years racing asphalt and dirt sprint cars. Natalie Decker: A 17-year-old newcomer to the Rev Racing roster from Eagle River, Wisconsin, Decker collected feature wins in limited late models and super late models, as well as earning Rookie and Sportsman of the Year honors in SCAG Midwest Truck Tour. She will compete in the Whelen All-American Series in 2015. Kenzie Ruston: Entering her third season in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and first with Rev Racing, the 22-year-old El Reno, Oklahoma, native is also a member of NASCAR Next, an industry initiative to identify tomorrow’s stars of the sport. Ruston broke her own record in 2014 as the highest finishing female driver in the K&N Pro Series East with a runner-up finish at Iowa Speedway on her way to finishing ninth in points. Dylan Smith: The 22-year-old Randolph, Vermont, native earned a spot with Rev Racing in the Whelen All-American Series after competing in his own late model last year. The Stewart-Haas Racing employee ran 15 races and finished 38th in the Whelen All-American Series Division I national standings. Rev Racing history will be made once again at the NASCAR Nationwide Series DAV200 “Honoring America’s Veterans” race at Phoenix International Raceway this Saturday, November 8th.  Fresh off of her second consecutive NASCAR K&N Pro Series East season, Mackena Bell will be making her debut in the NASCAR Nationwide Series with Rick Ware Racing. The only female graduate of NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity program will pilot the No. 23 Chevrolet Camaro. While Saturday’s race is not a means to an end, Bell has worked her entire life for the opportunity to display her skills in a nation series race. The magnitude of this opportunity is not lost on the young driver, and Bell is as humble as she is determined. “It’s a step and it may be a step I never get to take again. Rides are hard to come by in this sport without significant backing, wealthy families or big name connections, so it’s awesome to be able to say I will have a NASCAR Nationwide start under my belt,” said Bell. The 24 year old Carson City, Nevada native puts a tremendous amount of pressure on herself. It’s no secret that she’s one of very few women participating at one of the higher levels in the sport of NASCAR and Bell constantly feels overshadowed by the notion that she’s a female amongst men. So much so, that she takes it upon herself every race to not just compete, but also make a statement that she’s not a female driver but just another competitor. Over the years the pressure she’s put on herself has increased and she’s admittedly lost the child-like passion for racing that she grew up with. Living one’s dream isn’t always easy as the line between pleasure and business can easily be blurred.  In a sponsor-dominated sport such as NASCAR, the business side sadly wins out more times than not and after years of experiencing both the ups and downs of the sport, Bell forgot how much fun this sport can be.  However, securing this NASCAR Nationwide ride has seemed to reignite the passion inside of her. “I’m just going to enjoy every minute of it.  For so long, I’ve put so much pressure on myself to do something, to prove something, that I’ve not always enjoyed the ride. This race will be different. I’m going to enjoy this opportunity and learn as much as possible. This series is very competitive and there are a lot of teams with huge sponsors and great backing. Running for a little team gives you the chance to just take it all in, experience the differences and not feel the pressure, or expectation of setting the world on fire. I’m really looking forward to it.” This ride has given her the reassurance that she needed. The reassurance that she was born to be a racecar driver. The reassurance that all of the hard work she’s put in over the last 13 years has not been in vein. Bell enters this Saturday’s race with nothing to prove, and everything to gain. Rev Racing capped off the 2014 season in excellent fashion, with two drivers finishing in the top-10 at Dover International, otherwise known as the Monster Mile. Leading the way for Rev Racing were teammates Sergio Peña and Ryan Gifford. Both drivers qualified no better than 20^th but were able to use their veteran acumen to impressively improve their standing over the course of the 150-lap race. Due to rain, the teams weren’t able to accomplish much the day prior to the race and left the track early as first practice was ultimately cancelled. This left only one practice on the day of the race for each team to become acclimated to what would be the fastest track they’ve competed on all season (the average speed was 154 mph). The lack of practice arguably contributed to both Peña and Gifford having less than favorable qualifying efforts. However, much like the past few races, Gifford did not let his qualifying effort distract him from his game plan during the actual race; and Peña followed suit. Both Pena and Gifford, who took the green flag 23^rd and 20^th, took their time over the course of the race. Neither driver forced the issue and waited until the right opportunities presented themselves to advance through the pack. Both drivers were assisted by a few competitors going down with flat tires, however it was ultimately their patience and ability to take advantage of restarts that allowed each of the drivers to have successful races. Peña ultimate took the checkered flag in 6^th while Gifford finished in 9^th. Daniel Suarez, who competed in his final race for Rev Racing did not have the race that he had hoped for, taking the checkered in 22^nd but is grateful for the time he spent with his teammates and remains optimistic about his future in the NASCAR Nationwide series. Remaining Rev Racing drivers, Beasley & Bell finished the race 16^th and 17^th respectively. Rev Racing, NASCAR Scout Drivers At 11th Annual NASCAR Drive for Diversity Combine DAYTONA BEACH, FLA. (Sept. 30, 2014) – Twenty multicultural and female race car drivers from the United States, Canada and Latin America will participate in the 11th Annual NASCAR Drive for Diversity (D4D) Combine Oct. 13-15 with hopes of earning a spot in the 2015 NASCAR D4D Class in partnership with Rev Racing. The NASCAR D4D Combine – being held at Langley Speedway in Hampton, Virgina, for the fourth consecutive year – has been the proving ground for several current NASCAR national series drivers, including NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Sunoco Rookie of the Year candidate Kyle Larson, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series three-time race winner Darrell Wallace Jr. and NASCAR Mexico Toyota Series driver Daniel Suarez, who recently announced a full-year NASCAR Nationwide Series ride with Joe Gibbs Racing for 2015. “The NASCAR Drive for Diversity program has seen significant success in recent years with several standout drivers who have consistently exceled and put on their best performance on the race track,” said Jim Cassidy, NASCAR vice president of racing operations. “It is important for us to provide development opportunities for young female and diverse drivers who have the talent, but may lack the resources or guidance to find an entry point in our sport.” Under the leadership of Max Siegel, owner of Rev Racing and CEO of U.S. Track & Field, NASCAR D4D has evolved to an academy-style development program which will compete under one umbrella in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (NKPSE) and NASCAR Whelen All-American Series (NWAAS). Friday’s competition at Dover International Speedway will mark the culmination of the 2014 K&N Pro Series East season. Although competitor Ben Rhodes has already secured this year’s championship, each of the Rev Racing teams are working harder than ever to cap off the season with a trip to victory lane. Leading the way for Rev Racing will be newcomer Jay Beasley. Jay Beasley (No. 42 Rev Racing Toyota Racing Development Toyota) — Though Beasley has never competed at Dover International Speedway, the newcomer is 13^th in the point standings to lead all Rev Racing drivers. After a breakout stent midway through the season where Beasley accumulated two top-5’s and four top-10’s in 5 races, the Las Vegas native catapulted up the point standings. In his first season competing in the NKNPSE, Beasley has exceeded expectation and will be looking to add a third top-5 and a fifth top-10 to his resume and continue his momentum into next season. Ryan Gifford (No. 2 Honda Generators Toyota) — In the past two races, Gifford has used his wisdom and experience to secure back-to-back top-10 finishes. Furthermore, he garnered his last top-10 after missing all of practice with mechanical issues. Gifford and crew chief Mark Green have found a formula that has allowed the Winchester, Tennessee native to compete at an extremely high level no matter the obstacles in his way. With five top-5’s under his belt already this season, Gifford heads into the Drive Sober 150 16^th in the point standings, looking to add a sixth top-10 to his résumé. Sergio Peña (No. 4 UTI/NTI Toyota) — Although the season is coming to a close, Peña’s has recently began to ramp up his work ethic. After unfavorable finishes in his past two races, the Winchester Virginia native has begun training harder and spending more time working on his vehicle. Though Peña, who is in 14^th place in the point standings, cannot win the championship, he’s holding a win at Dover with the equal regard and preparing as such. With a win and five top-10’s already under his belt this season, Peña is focused on using this final race to bolster his already impressive resume. Daniel Suarez (No. 6 Sunoco Toyota) – Suarez will be competing in his final race for Rev Racing after inking a NASCAR Nationwide deal with Joe Gibbs Racing last month. Suarez, who has captured national attention after his breakout season, will look to add a third win to his season résumé. After finishing sixth a Dover last year, it shouldn’t be difficult for the Monterrey Mexico native to remind his competitors why he’ll be racing in a national series next year. CONCORD, N.C. (Sep. 19, 2014) — Mackena Bell lives by one word: Believe. So much so, that she has a tattoo on her right wrist that reads “Belleve” which combines her last name and her old car number 11. Throughout her 13 years of racing, Bell has remained mentally tough overcoming many challenges to pursue her racing dreams. Though Bell, 24, has been racing for over a decade, during her childhood, she played soccer with a traveling team, which required plenty of invested time. Eventually, the time had come when she was forced to make a decision between the two sports. “Once I started getting more into racing, I realized that it was lifestyle and not just a hobby,” Bell said. “The racetrack is the happiest place I can be. When I get in that racecar, I don’t think about anything. It’s just me and the racecar.” Without looking back, she chose the sport she had been around her entire life, and she and her younger sister, Kellcy, raced for her family’s team in her hometown of Carson City, Nevada. After much success on the west coast with her father, Kelly, as her crew chief and her mother, Shannon, as one of her biggest supporters, she moved to North Carolina in 2010 and became Rev Racing’s first female driver. However the move wasn’t easy. “I didn’t think it would be as hard as it was. It was 3,000 miles away from anything I had ever known,” she said. “I packed my car full of everything that I could, and I didn’t have a bed, so I slept on the floor.” She was initially selected to drive in the K&N Pro Series. “I destroyed every single car I had been in. I caught on fire,” she said. “My confidence was terrible. I was miserable.” She was so discouraged that she contemplated giving up, but after speaking with Rev Racing’s owner, Max Siegel, she decided that she wanted to keep pursing her dream. In order to progress, she took a step back and raced late models in the Whelen All-American Series for three years before moving back up to K&N. In addition to overcoming the distance between her and her family, Bell also struggled with her weight throughout her racing career, but she didn’t let that stop her. She began eating healthy and exercised daily; a regiment that included running 3.5 miles every day. “To overcome all that, I really felt like I could overcome anything at this point,” she said. “I have a better grasp on racecars and NASCAR in general and what it takes.” In 2013, she became the second female driver to finish in the top-5 of a K&N Pro Series race. During her career with Rev Racing, she’s accumulated seven top-fives and 31 top-10 finishes. Though she doesn’t like to play the “girl card,” Bell understands the challenges of being a woman in a male-dominated sport, which is why she generally has a serious demeanor and tone at the racetrack. She expects to be taken seriously as a competitor. As a driver, she tries her best to set a good example for younger drivers and also mentors one of Rev Racing’s Bandolero drivers, 11-year-old Ryleigh Lemonds. “I want to be a good role model,” Bell said. “Little girls like Ryleigh motivate me. They make me want to be better and work hard.” Along with her desire to be a positive influence for young girls, she enjoys giving back to the community. In 2013, Bell partnered with the American Lung Association to speak out in the fight against lung disease. She lost her great-grandfather to lung cancer. “That was really hard on me because he was really big in my racing. He always supported me. I never had a racecar that didn’t have his name on it because he sponsored me,” she said. Aside from racing, Bell grew up wake boarding and jet skiing at Lake Tahoe, just 20 minutes away from her house and still enjoys simply relaxing on the lake when she can. When she’s not racing or in the shop working on her car, Bell works Monday thru Friday as a waitress in Huntersville, where she’s acquired new fans who support her at races both near and far.
