Concord, NCRev Racing and Nick Sanchez are both excited and determined heading into the race weekend for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Following a challenging performance, that saw Sanchez finishing 30th due to unexpected mechanical issues at North Wilkesboro, he is determined to showcase his team’s true potential, a reflection of him leading the most laps this season, and bounce back with a successful finish.

Sanchez will once again pilot the No.2 Gainbridge Chevrolet and despite the setback in the last race, Sanchez remains undeterred and fully-focused on achieving a podium finish in the North Carolina Education Lottery 200. Sanchez and the entire team refused to give up at North Wilkesboro, making race saving repairs and getting back on the track to finish the race.

Expressing his eagerness for the upcoming race, Sanchez said “ We are ready for Charlotte. We learned a lot in the last race and continue to garner the information needed to make us solid contenders. My team works incredibly hard and we don’t dwell on the past. Charlotte will be a good run for us and I am ready to give the guys the finish they deserve.”

As the race weekend draws near at Charlotte Motor Speedway, the team is aiming for nothing short of victory on Friday, May 26th. Practice for the NCTS is set for 1:35 PM ET with qualifying at 2:05 PM. The green flag is set to wave around 8:30 PM ET. The No. 2 Gainbridge Chevrolet will race for 134 laps and over 200 miles. We encourage supporters to tune in on FS1, MRN, SiriusXM, and follow along on Rev social media.

Concord, NC– After an impressive show during Nick Sanchez’s tribute to Mario Andretti at Darlington, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) is headed to the legendary North Wilkesboro Speedway for the first time since 1996! Following an impressive 3rd place qualifying effort and 11th place finish, Sanchez is poised to continue his momentum and further push himself towards his first victory of the season.

“Wilkesboro will be good for us,” said Sanchez. Sanchez is confident with his ltakeaways “I’ll take what I learned about tire management in Darlington and implement it this weekend. As usual the Gainbridge Chevy should have speed, I
just have to close it out!”

Sanchez Throws It Back to a Legend at Darlington Raceway

Sanchez Throws It Back to a Legend at Darlington Raceway

Darlington NickMay 11, 2023

Concord, NC- As part of NASCAR’s “Throwback Weekend” at Darlington Raceway, Rev Racing’s Nick Sanchez will honor racing legend Mario Andretti at the Buckle Up South Carolina 200 this Friday (5.12).

With primary sponsorship from Gainbridge, Sanchez’s No. 2 Chevrolet will run the Andretti scheme, which found its way to Victory Lane in the 1967 Daytona 500. To date, Andretti remains the only driver to win an Indianapolis 500, Daytona 500 and the Formula One Championship.

Andretti will also join Sanchez and Rev Racing in Darlington to see the Holman-Moody paint scheme on Sanchez’s Chevy Silverado. Both Andretti and Sanchez are both very excited for the upcoming festivities. Sanchez has already had an incredible rookie start this season, compiling 1 top-5, 3 top 10s and 2 poles in 8 races. He has also led the most laps to-date in the NCTS 2023 season at 187. Sanchez hopes to recreate this victorious moment in history in honor of Andretti and Darlington’s Throwback Weekend.

“The name Mario Andretti is synonymous with auto racing,” said Nick Sanchez. “To get to honor his legacy and his famous Daytona 500 win in 1967 is very special. The chance to meet a legend like Mario is also incredibly special. As a young driver, what he’s accomplished in motorsports is something I can only dream about for my future. Thanks to the Gainbridge and Rev Racing team for organizing this special throwback opportunity.”

Andretti is humbled and sincerely appreciative that Rev Racing and Gainbridge will honor and recognize a livery so important to his career.

“I was full of pride when I learned that Gainbridge and Rev Racing were paying tribute to me this way,” said Andretti. “The effort they are going through to present this commemorative truck is flattering. Thank you to the team for that effort and also for acknowledging my part in NASCAR history. I look forward to seeing Nick carry the design from my 1967 car. I hope this winning paint scheme will be a good omen for him and that he’ll get a victory. “

Andretti and Sanchez will be doing a Live Q&A at the Goodyear Legend’s Display in the Fan Zone on May 12th starting at 5:00 PM ET, followed by a NASCAR Legends Autograph Session from 5:20 –  5:40 PM ET. Sanchez and Andretti will be autographing and donating Nick’s throwback firesuit, post-race, for auction with all proceeds going to the NASCAR Foundation.

The NCTS practice session is set for 3:05 PM ET, before a qualifying session at 3:35 PM ET. The green flag will wave at 7:30 PM ET and can be watched on FS1, MRN, Sirius XM and live streamed on the Fox Sports App or Rev social media.

Concord, NC– The third race of the ARCA Menards Series East (AMS East) is set for Saturday, May 13th at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway in Nashville, Tennessee. Rev Racing will field driver Lavar Scott, who is coming off of yet another top 5 finish at Dover Motor Speedway. This will mark his third top 5 finish in a row, with two in the AMS East at Five Flags Speedway and Dover Motor Speedway and one in the ARCA Menards Series season opener at Daytona. The Music City 200 is a one day event and scheduled to begin at 9:30 PM ET.

With his sights set on a good finish, Scott is already seeking what all drivers aspire for, the checkered flag. Despite his rookie status, Scott is 4th in point standings and ready to take on another track  for the first time.

“I’m really excited for Nashville,” said Scott. “This track has always been somewhere I’ve wanted to race. The track is famous for being so short and it has so much history. Rev has been bringing fast equipment at each and every race and I know the momentum will carry on to this one too.”

The Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway is only .625 miles in length and therefore 125 miles. Practice is at 3:00 PM ET and lasts for an hour before a single car, two lap, qualifying session at 5:00 PM ET. The green flag is set to wave at 9:30 PM ET. Rev Racing Ready for Arca Race at Kansas Speedway

Nascar Cup Series
May 5, 2023

Concord, NC- Rev Racing is headed to Kansas Speedway for the next race in the Arca Menards Series (AMS) schedule. The Dawn 150 is scheduled for this Saturday (5/6) during a double feature with the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS).

Rev Racing will field two drivers at the 1.5 mile track, Andres Perez de Lara and Jack Wood.  Perez will pilot the No. 2 Max Siegel Inc. Chevrolet and Wood will pilot the No. 6 WB/Velocity Racing Chevrolet. The two Chevrolet’s will race around the track for 100 laps and just over 150 Miles.

After just running at Talladega Superspeedway, Perez is motivated to get back to action. Perez, while untimely finishing fourth, was energized by having led laps and being contingent for the win. This will be Perez’s first time at Kansas Speedway, and he is ready for the challenge.

“I’m really looking forward to racing in Kansas this weekend,” said Perez. “Rev has had great success there and I’ve been studying and working to be ready for my first 1.5 mile track. I think it’s super important to put all my test time to use this weekend.” Perez has high hopes to earn his first trip to victory lane for himself and his team.

This will be Wood’s 3rd visit to Kansas Speedway, after racing there in the 2021 AMS season where he earned a 4th place finish. He also competed there in the NCTS in 2022. Wood has had a promising start to the season, with two top 10’s in the books. Most recently, Wood led laps and finished 6th at Talladega.

“Kansas is probably one of the easier mile and a half’s on the schedule as far as making speed,” said Wood. “Though it makes it super important to make sure your car is handling correctly, Rev has been bringing me really strong cars and I know we are all hungry for a win. I can’t wait to get there and see what we’ve got.”

There is an optional practice scheduled for Friday (5.5), before the official race day on Saturday. The AMS practice session is set for 10:25 AM ET before a timed qualifying session at 11:10 AM ET. The green flag should wave shortly after 1:50 PM ET and the race can be watched on FS1, MRN, Sirius XM and live streamed on the Fox Sports App or Rev social media.

Rev Racing and Sanchez heading to the Heart of America

Rev Racing and Sanchez heading to the Heart of America

Nascar Craftsman Truck Series Nextera Energy 250 Qualifying

May 3, 2023

Concord, NC- After two weeks off, Rev Racing and Nick Sanchez are headed back to the track in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) for the Heart of America 200 at Kansas Speedway. Coming off of an 11th place finish at Martinsville Speedway, where the race ended early due to weather, Sanchez is ready to get back to action at one of his favorite tracks.

As Danny Stockman and team have been preparing for Kansas over the two-week break, they are energized by the fact that Sanchez is no newcomer to running at this 1.5-mile paved oval.

Sanchez has found his way to victory lane two times at Kansas between the 2021 and 2022 ARCA Menards Series (AMS) season. The No.2 Gainbridge Chevrolet team has high hopes of capitalizing on this previous experience as they aim to get Sanchez a third shot at victory lane in Kansas and his first win in the NCTS.

“My team and I are looking forward to Kansas,” said Sanchez. Reflecting on his hunger for a win, Sanchez stated “Our past couple races haven’t been our best performance, but I know we’re all looking to change those outcomes.” Sanchez, while leading the most laps of the season by far, has yet to secure a win. The rookie is determined to find the results he is looking for this weekend and bring Rev Racing their first victory in the NCTS.

The Heart of America 200 is scheduled for Saturday, May 6th during a double header with the AMS. The No.2 Gainbridge Chevrolet is set to take to the track around 8:00 PM ET. Practice is set for 12:05 PM ET before qualifying shortly thereafter at 12:35 PM ET. The NCTS drivers will pilot their trucks for 201 miles and 134 laps. Fans can tune in on FS1, MRN and SiriusXM.

Arca Menards Series East 2023: Arca Menards Series East Pensacola 200 March 25

Concord, NC– The second race of the ARCA Menards Series East (AMS East) is set for Friday, April 28th at the historic Dover Motor Speedway in Dover, Delaware. Rev Racing will field driver Lavar Scott who is coming off of a top 5 finish at Five Flags Speedway. The General Tire 125 is part of a companion weekend with both the NASCAR Cup Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series. The AMS East race is set to begin at 5:30PM ET.

Scott’s momentum is nothing short of impressive as he comes off of a 4th place finish during his rookie ARCA Menards Series debut at Daytona and a 5th place finish during his second start in the AMS East Series at Pensacola. Scott, who is currently in his 4th season with Rev Racing, will pilot the No. 6 Max Siegel Inc. Chevrolet in Dover this coming Friday. A New Jersey native, Scott considers Dover Motor Speedway his home track and supporters are expected to turn out from the Delaware Valley to see Scott take to the oval for the first time.

“Dover Motor Speedway has been a race I’ve dreamed of competing at from a very young age,” said Scott. “This is my home track that my grandfather used to take me to growing up to watch the Cup Series compete and now I get my chance in the Rev Racing Arca Car.” Scott is full of gratitude, “I’m just happy and grateful to have my friends and family be able to support me this weekend. The team and I have been working extra hard after Pensacola to be better and I believe that is going to show.” Dover Motor Speedway is close to Scott’s heart and with that he plans on giving it his all.

The General Tire 125 will serve as the second race of the AMS East series, but will be Scott’s third of the season after his debut during the Daytona 200. Practice is scheduled for 1:00 PM  – 2:00 PM ET  and qualifying, during a timed session, starts shortly thereafter at 2:10 PM. Scott will then head to an autograph session for supporters visiting from home at 2:45 PM before the green flag waves at 5:30 PM ET. The race will go for 125 miles and therefore 125 laps. Rev Racing ready to take on the Superspeedway at Talladega

April 19, 2023

Menards 200 For The Arca Menards SeriesConcord, NC Rev Racing is heading to Talladega Superspeedway for the third race in the Arca Menards Series (AMS) schedule, for the General Tire 200, this Saturday (4.22). The team is set to field two drivers on the 2.66-mile paved oval, Andres Perez de Lara behind the No.2 Max Siegel Inc. Chevrolet and Jack Wood behind the No. 6 WB/Velocity Racing Chevrolet. Perez and Wood will take to the track on Saturday, during a NASCAR doubleheader with the NASCAR  Xfinity Series. The No. 2 and No. 6 Chevrolets will race for 76 laps and over 202 miles. The green flag is set to wave for the 61st time in AMS history at 12:30 PM ET.

Rev Racing is ready for redemption after results at Phoenix Raceway left Perez de Lara and Wood short of the finish they desired. The two drivers qualified 2
nd (Wood) and 6th (Perez), however, a mid-race crash ended Wood’s night early and a late race spinout resulted in a 4th place finish for Perez de Lara.

Perez will pilot the No.2 Max Siegel Inc. Chevrolet for the second time this season and his first visit to Talladega. Perez is using momentum from his strong finish at Phoenix and learning from Rev’s win there last year with 2022 AMS Champion Nick Sanchez. “I’m really happy to go racing at Talladega this weekend,” said Perez. “It’s a new type of track for me and that makes it a challenge. Knowing that the team won at Talladega last year is motivation and I know we’ll have a fast car.”

.

Wood, piloting the No. 6 WB/Velocity Racing Chevrolet is experienced at Talladega, this being his fourth career start.  Wood raced at the track in 2021 and 2022 in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series and in 2022 in the AMS series, where he started 12th and finished 11th. This is Wood’s third out of seven races with Rev for the season and Wood is ready, stating “I’m looking forward to heading back to Talladega, our cars were really fast at Daytona and Phoenix and I think we’ll have a good shot at parking it in victory lane this weekend.” Wood is leaning on his experience, “I’ve been here three times before, so I’m familiar with how it races.”

The General Tire 200 is scheduled for April 22 at 12:30PM ET and will air on FS1, MRN, Sirius XM, and live streamed on the Fox Sports App. There will be no qualifying for the AMS series, however, Perez and Wood will take to the track Friday at 4:00 PM ET for practice. The No.2 and No.6 Chevrolets will compete for 202 miles reaching speeds up to 190 MPH and, hopefully, secure the first win of the season for Rev Racing.

Nick Sanchez to honor Mario Andretti’s Daytona 500 win with throwback scheme

Nick Sanchez to honor Mario Andretti’s Daytona 500 win with throwback scheme

By Zach Sturniolo | NASCAR.com

4.14.2023

Nick Sanchez will honor racing legend Mario Andretti in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series race at Darlington Raceway on May 12, Rev Racing announced Friday.

With primary sponsorship from Gainbridge, Sanchez’s No. 2 Chevrolet will bear the powder blue, gold and red that Andretti wheeled to Victory Lane in the 1967 Daytona 500, the only NASCAR triumph of his glorious and monumental career.

A rendered view of the No. 2 truck Nick Sanchez will drive at Darlington
Rev Racing

An integral part of racing history, Andretti will be on site in Darlington to see his cherished Holman-Moody paint scheme don Sanchez’s Silverado while helping celebrate NASCAR’s 75th anniversary.

“You don’t really get pressure as a race car driver a lot,” Sanchez told NASCAR.com. “But driving his paint scheme that he won the ’67 Daytona 500 in at a place like Darlington on throwback weekend? That’s pressure — a good kind of pressure, though.”

Keen on racing as ever at age 83, Andretti showed sincere gratitude that Rev Racing and Gainbridge wanted to honor a livery so important to his illustrious past.

“That’s definitely special,” Andretti told NASCAR.com via teleconference, eager to show a rendering of the truck he’d printed out. “I mean, it brings back such special, very treasured memories of a great time in my career. I’m just totally flattered that the team is doing this for me, and I’m going to really enjoy watching Nick put this baby up there – maybe on the top step at the end of this race.”

Andretti has been keeping a watchful eye on Sanchez’s inaugural Truck Series campaign, a rookie year that coincides with Rev Racing’s first endeavor at NASCAR’s national levels, thanks in part to an alliance with Kyle Busch Motorsports.

Sanchez, the 2022 ARCA Menards Series champion, has shown impressive speed, with two poles and an Atlanta runner-up finish in six starts. A dominant performance at Texas Motor Speedway saw Sanchez lead 168 of 171 laps before a last-lap crash eliminated him from competition.

“I’ve been watching the young lad the last few races, and he’s definitely a comer for sure,” Andretti said. “He’s no stranger to the winner’s circle coming through the ranks, and now obviously, with NASCAR with the trucks, it looks like he’s definitely with the right team and a competitive truck and a driver that knows what to do with it.”

The victor over a half-century ago, Andretti celebrated his Daytona triumph in only the ninth running of the Great American Race. His No. 11 Holman-Moody Racing Ford led 112 of 200 laps on Feb. 26, 1967, en route to the checkered flag.

“I think the significance grows, quite honestly,” Andretti said of the win. “The stature of the event grows as well, then you have the strong tradition. And to be part of that tradition, let’s face it, the Daytona 500 for NASCAR is like for IndyCar the Indianapolis 500. I mean, there’s a marquee event, and then there’s a (season-long) championship.

“But sometimes, there’s as much value to winning that one particular race on either side as there is winning the championship. It’s unfair, but that’s a fact. And to see my name there in that roster of Daytona 500 winners is something I’m very proud of.”

Gainbridge serves as the primary sponsor for both Sanchez and the Andretti Autosport team in IndyCar. Having an opportunity to bridge the gap between series while honoring a legend in Andretti was something Gainbridge and Rev Racing seemed too perfect to pass up.

A conversation with Rev Racing led Mike Nichols, Gainbridge’s chief of sponsorship strategy and activation, to start brainstorming throwback ideas. In reality, that meant bouncing the question to his 17-year-old son, Michael, who himself is an avid NASCAR fan.

“Without hesitation, he said ‘1967 Daytona 500’ – and within 5 minutes, I had a half-dozen photos and drawings of that car texted to me by him,” Nichols said in an email. “Now I also have the good fortune of having an in-house graphic designer who spent 30 years designing paint schemes before he joined Gainbridge. … I texted the images to him and said, ‘I want to do a throwback to this car. Can you pull something together for me to approach Mario?’

“Within 48 hours, I had the amazing drawings with incredible attention to detail that you’ve now seen – and I fired off an email to Mario asking his permission to honor him and if he would be interested in being a part of it. As you saw today, he enthusiastically accepted and wanted to be as involved as he could be.”

Rev Racing has been a key part of NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity program, a driver development initiative created in 2004 to develop and train ethnically diverse and female drivers both on and off the track. NASCAR Cup Series drivers Bubba Wallace, Daniel Suárez and Kyle Larson are alumni of this program, which is operated by Rev Racing in Concord, N.C.

MORE: See the 2023 Drive for Diversity class

That aspect connects Rev Racing further with Andretti, a native of Italy whose Daytona 500 victory made him NASCAR’s first internationally-born driver to win. He has seen the benefits of diversity across motorsports – including at Andretti Autosport, where one of the top race engineers that he once worked with in IndyCar testing was a woman.

“I was very impressed with the way that she was analyzing situations and so forth and that I was giving her my practical side,” Andretti said. “So her and I bonded immediately. And again, that’s something that we all encourage. I mean, it’s definitely an open door. Anyone with those wishes and talents obviously will be looked at very seriously.”

NASCAR’s throwback weekend at Darlington offers a look in the rear-view mirror of the sport’s 75-year history. Andretti has been honored before – defending Cup Series champion Joey Logano ran his 1971 Formula One livery in 2021 commemorating Andretti’s inaugural South Africa triumph.

With Sanchez set to pay tribute to Andretti’s lone stock-car triumph, the memories keep flowing back.

North Carolina Motorsports Association awards Max Siegel and Rev Racing

 April 12, 2023

Max HeadshotConcord, NCMax Siegel was honored, tonight, by the North Carolina Motorsports Association (NCMA) at the 2023 Tribute in Motorsports Ceremony for his work in motorsports and dedication to NASCAR’s diversity initiatives. Siegel, CEO of USA Track & Field and Owner of RevRacing, has dedicated most of his professional career to creating opportunities for underserved populations, most notably in the motorsports industry. The Association awarded Siegel with the NCMA Industry Award for his passion and commitment to creating cultural impact and change in motorsports. NASCAR President, Steve Phelps, presented the award to Siegel.

Siegel owns Rev Racing, located in Concord, North Carolina. Rev Racing is the competition arm of NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity Program and serves as the NASCAR-supported racing team charged with developing female and minority drivers, and pit crew members in the NASCAR development series for future competition at NASCAR’s highest levels. Currently, Rev Racing competes in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS), the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series, the NASCAR ARCA Menards Series (AMS) and the U.S. Legend Car Series. There are 9 full-time minority and female drivers competing for Siegel and Rev Racing, in the various Series, for the 2023 season.

NASCAR shares Rev Racing’s belief that minority and female audiences are underserved in America’s second largest sport. Siegel was brought on by NASCAR in 2009 to manage the competition side of the Drive for Diversity Program. Siegel is the former President of Dale Earnhardt, Inc. and the first black president of a major NASCAR team. The NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program was created in 2004 to develop and train ethnically diverse and female drivers both on and off the track. NASCAR Cup Series drivers Bubba Wallace, Daniel Suárez and Kyle Larson are alumni of Rev Racing and the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program.

Over the last 20 years Siegel has made tremendous impact in this sport, providing opportunities to over 125 diverse and female drivers, over 100 diverse and female pit crew members, 20 plus interns and countless other disadvantaged youths, diverse vendors, scholarship recipients and young professionals, some of which now hold positions at the highest level of the sport.

Every day I wake up and reflect on “why” I do what I do,” said Siegel. “It’s because I owe all the opportunities I have been blessed with to people who believed in me, supported me and gave me access to opportunities I never imagined were possible. To see the impact Rev Racing has had on the lives of those that have been a part of our program is rewarding. I am honored that our work is being recognized by our industry colleagues that we have collaborated with over the years. I am excited about the work we will continue to do to make this sport accessible and welcome to all and to develop the future stars of the sport.”

The NCMA Tribute in Motorsports Ceremony also recognized Bobby and Donnie Allison for their lifelong contributions in the sport, scholarship awardees, and five industry leaders, including Siegel.

Campbell is ready for another shot at Florence Motor Speedway during the 2nd Annual Double Day. Unfortunately, during the first 40 (3.18) of Rev’s last visit to Florence, Campbell was involved in an accident that ended the race early.

However, after quick repairs from the team, Campbell was able to make it back onto the track for the second 40 and finished strong at 9th place. This will be Campbell’s fourth time at Florence and second in the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series in late models with Rev.

“We struggled to find speed in our last visit to Florence,” said Campbell. “However, even though the first race resulted in a DNF, we were able to finish well in the 2nd feature.”

Campbell has been preparing with sim time and coaching stating “I’m feeling confident that with what I learned from the last visit to Florence and if I correct my mistakes I’ll be able to finish stronger and better.” Campbell is confident about his return “We’ve got unfinished business there,” he said.

This will be Rogers first time at Florence Motor Speedway for the season and she’s hoping to carry momentum over from Hickory, while learning from her teammates.

“We have the momentum” said Rogers “and we were able to make progress through the twin features.” She’s confident stating, “I look forward to doing the same at Florence. Always improving, always getting better.”

Rev Racing and Nick Sanchez Gear up for Martinsville Speedway

Rev Racing and Nick Sanchez Gear up for Martinsville Speedway

Nascar Craftsman Truck Series

April 12, 2023

Concord, NCRev Racing is headed back to pavement, for the Long John Silvers 200 at the iconic Martinsville Speedway, after a weekend competing on dirt. Nick Sanchez made his NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) dirt debut this past weekend at Bristol Motor Speedway. After a second stage left rear flat, Sanchez quickly went 4 laps down.  Never giving up, Sanchez battled for the second half of the Weather Guard on Dirt, until the No.2 Gainbridge Chevrolet was back on the lead lap. By the end of the race, with just under ten laps to go, Sanchez garnered a position in the top 20 with a 18th place finish. Sanchez was able to secure the second fastest lap on the last lap of the race and while he would have liked better results he stated “I made the most of it, learned a lot, and in the end finished 18th. We never gave up.”

Rev Racing and Sanchez are looking forward to Martinsville where the team is back on pavement and hungry for a win after dominating at Texas Motor Speedway, a near win at Atlanta and consistently qualifying in the top 5 of each paved race this season. The half-mile track is much shorter than recent NCTS races, though Sanchez has a bit of experience at the Martinsville. He made his first start at the track in 2022, in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, where he started 24th, climbed 17 spots, and finished 7th.

“Each week it is the same goal,” said Sanchez. “We evaluate previous performances and where we can make improvements, we do as much preparation as possible, execute our plan during the race weekend and aim to win every time. We can’t control outside factors, so we have to be 100% at what we can control. I am incredibly energized by the amount of work Danny and the No. 2 team puts in everyday. I am ready to give them what they deserve.”

The Long John Silver’s 200 is scheduled for Friday, April 14th where the NCTS drivers will pilot their vehicles for 200 laps and 105 miles. Martinsville Speedway comes out to just over half a mile in length and is paper clip in shape. Practice starts at 3:00 PM ET, with qualifying taking place 35 minutes later. The green flag will wave at 7:30 PM ET and the race will air on FS1, MRN, and SiriusXM.

Nascar Craftsman Truck Series
#2: Nick Sanchez, Rev Racing, Gainbridge Chevrolet Silverado

April 4, 2023

Concord, NC“It is what it is,” said Nick Sanchez about his run at Texas Motor Speedway. Disappointment and frustration reigned after Rev Racing and Sanchez ended their night in a last  lap crash of the second NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) overtime attempt during the SpeedyCash 250. Sanchez battled, and dominated, the entire race starting on the pole, securing both stages and leading 168 of 172 laps. Unfortunately, after an aggressive side draft battle, a partial touch of the tires in the grass, and a tap to the right-rear, Sanchez was sent careening into the wall and trucks of the No. 38 and No. 19. Fortunately, all three drivers climbed from their trucks.

Sanchez, of course, was dissatisfied about the outcome of the race. “I hate that I crashed such a fast one, but we’ll build another and come back stronger,” said Sanchez. “Our goal is to win and that is what we are trying to accomplish at every track.” Regardless, Sanchez and the entire Rev Racing team finished with a 16th place finish at Texas and earned both stage finishing points. Sanchez is currently 9th in drivers point standings.

Despite the race outcomes to-date, Sanchez and the No. 2 team have had quite the rookie start to their 2023 Truck season. Sanchez has never qualified outside of the top 5, earning two poles at Daytona and Texas. He has led 187 total laps and garnered a top 5 and 2 top 10s. After total domination at Texas and just falling short, Sanchez is more eager than ever for a top finish at Bristol Motor Speedway during the Weather Guard on Dirt in the NCTS this weekend.

Sanchez is no rookie in terms of Bristol Speedway, racing there on multiple different occasions across the ARCA Menards Series (AMS) and NASCAR Xfinity Series. Sanchez secured a 12th place finish in 2022, a 4th place finish at the track during the 2021 AMS and an 11th place finish the year before. However, this will be Sanchez’s first attempt on dirt at Bristol.

“Bristol is going to be interesting,” said Sanchez. “It’ll be my first time at Bristol on dirt but I’m feeling just as confident as if it were pavement.” Sanchez isn’t dwelling on the past stating, “I know my team will continue to bring me the fastest trucks possible. Different weekend, same goal….to win.”

The first and second practice for the NCTS are set for Friday, April 7th and are to begin at 5:35 PM EST and 8:02 PM EST. The NCTS will have 75 minutes total to practice before qualifying on April 8th at 4:30 PM.

Sanchez will pilot the No.2 Gainbridge Chevrolet Saturday, April 8th for 150 laps and 75 miles on dirt. The track is much shorter than COTA and Texas Motor Speedway, coming to half a mile in length. The green flag is scheduled to wave at 8:00 PM EST. Stage 1 will conclude after 40 laps followed by stage 2 at lap 90. Live coverage will air on FS1, MRN, and Sirius XM.

The season-opener of the ARCA Menards Series East (AMS East) is set for Saturday, March 25th at the iconic Five Flags Speedway in Pensacola, Florida. Rev Racing will field driver Lavar Scott, who is now competing full-time in AMS East series for the 2023 season. Scott, with just one start under his belt in the AMS, will take on the half mile track in the Pensacola 200.

Scott’s season is off to a good start, after having had the opportunity to participate in the AMS opener at Daytona. In his rookie debut, Scott was able to secure a 4th place finish in the Daytona 200 after leading 14 laps of the race and qualifying 11th

Lavar Scott is no newcomer to Rev Racing and is currently in his 4th season with the team where he will pilot the No.6 Max Siegel Inc. Chevrolet at Five Flags Speedway, this coming Saturday. Last season, Scott was able to secure a multitude of top 5’s and 10’s in the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series.

“I’m extremely excited to finally get the ARCA East season going with Rev Racing,” said Scott. “We had a great first run in Daytona finishing 4th, and I know that momentum with the team is going to carry over to the short tracks. The team has been working around the clock on preparing the cars for the East schedule. So, honestly, it all starts here.”

Concord, NC
After securing a 2nd place finish at Atlanta Motor Speedway in the Fr8 208, Nick Sanchez and team are headed to their first road course of the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) season. The green flag will wave on Saturday, March 25th at the Circuit of the America’s (COTA) in Austin, Texas. The Xpel 225 is scheduled for 42 laps, each mile measuring a distance of 3.41 miles long. This race will require an immeasurable amount of talent, stamina, and skill.

Sanchez, Danny Stockman, and the entire Rev Racing team are more hungry than ever for a win, after finishing less than an 8th of a second behind the winner at Atlanta Motor Speedway. The race was full of challenges for the No. 2 team, but they fought their way back with the leaders multiple times through the end of the scheduled race length and an intense overtime restart.

At one point in Fr8 208, Sanchez experienced contact by the No. 9 being hit hard in the rear. After an unsuccessful restart on lap 87, the No. 11 sent Sanchez into the grass. Sanchez said, “I lost power.” The team learned later that the battery was knocked loose from the contact earlier in the race. Repairs were made quickly and the team persevered.

Sanchez was able to quickly climb back to the top where on the final lap, before the green-white-checkered, he took the lead. Ultimately, Sanchez finished in second place. Sanchez has been up front in all three races this season, starting on the pole in the season opener at Daytona and next to Kyle Bush on the front row in Las Vegas before, finally, securing an acceptable finish.

“We’re doing what we came here to do,” said Stockman, Crew Chief for Nick Sanchez and the No.2 Gainbridge Chevrolet. Stockman went on to say “Our first two races were tough, but I think we’ve shown we have what it takes to stay in the top and finishing in Atlanta proves it.” Stockman mentioned the team was preparing for the first road course of the season planning to “garner our strengths and head to the winner’s circle.”

“I’m just proud of my team for fighting hard and overcoming a lot of obstacles in the race,” said Sanchez. “Yes, it was a good result but my team and I don’t celebrate seconds and we have an expectation and desire to win. That expectation bleeds over to COTA and we’re going to keep the momentum going.” Sanchez mentioned that this will be his first time at COTA racing and he knows that the team is going to put their best foot forward and contend. He concluded with thanks to the team and partners, “I just want to say I am thankful for Rev Racing and our partners at Gainbridge, Chevrolet, and our technical alliance partners (KBM) for their continued support.”

Practice is set for 4:30 PM EST on Friday March 24th and just 30 minutes later, qualifying will take place in preparation of the Xpel 225. Neither practice nor qualifying will be televised for the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, however the 143.2-mile race will air on FS1, MRN, and SXM90. The green flag is scheduled to wave at 1:30PM March 25th when Sanchez is set to make his debut at COTA.

“I’ve been to Florence a few times but I’m trying to approach the race like it’s my first time there,” said Reyna. “It’s a new car, new team, and new Crew Chief in 2023. We still have plenty to learn about one another and building a good rapport takes time.” He concluded with his excitement “I’m really looking forward to getting started.”

Justin Campbell
Team: No. 6 Max Siegel Inc. Chevrolet with Director Late Model Programming, Crew Chief John Carroll

Just coming off of a promising couple of runs at Hickory Motor Speedway (3.4), Campbell is motivated to apply what he learned and aim for good finishing results. Campbell finished 7th and 12th in the two 40-lap features. This will mark Justin’s third time competing at Florence Motor Speedway, but first time driving in the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series in a Late Model. Campbell raced at Florence twice in 2022 in the US Legends Car Series, where he was able to secure a top 5 and a 2nd place finish.

“After a clean run at Hickory, I’m looking forward to Florence this weekend,” said Justin Campbell. “It’s one of my favorite tracks, mainly because of how technical the track is. There are going to be new challenges to face with tire management. I have confidence going into this race due to my prior experience and I’m excited for this weekend. Rev Racing has done a great job with the car and helping with my development. I am certain this weekend is going to have a great turnout and good results.”

Nathan Lyons and Eloy Sebastian López Falcón
Crew Chief and Director of Driver Development, Mark Green

Both Nathan Lyons and Eloy Sebastian López Falcón are set to take to the ½ mile track in the US Legend Car Series at Florence Speedway this Saturday (3.18) for a 25-lap feature. This will mark both Lyon’s and López Falcón’s debut with Rev Racing at Florence Motor Speedway.

Lyons, just turning 14 on March 14th, is Rev Racing’s youngest program participant. Lyons began racing a Bandolero Car at age 12. He competed at the Winter Heat in 2022 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, where in his first race he finished 9th and 8th in his second race.

In 2022, he raced at the Winter Nationals in Florida where he garnered his first career win. Also, in 2022, he participated in the Nashville Spring Series, which is a 6-race event, Lyons placed 4th in one race and finished in the top 10 in the remaining races.

When asked, Nathan only had one thing to say and that was, “I’m Confident.”

Eloy is no newcomer to racing, although this will be the first he will compete in the US Legend Car. The 17-year-old, from Oaxaca, MX, was also the 2022 NASCAR Truck Series México champion.

Eloy started his career in karting in 2010, where he became the Super Karts Cup (SKC) Grill Champion 50 multiple years in a row. In 2012, he began his journey into F1. By 2013, Eloy became the first Mexican driver to have a pass to the Rotax Grand World Championship. He became the Micromax Category Champion in 2014. In 2021, he debuted in the NASCAR Mexico Truck Series, where he became the Champion in his rookie year. He will continue to run both a schedule in the United States with Rev Racing as well as continuing his efforts in the NASCAR Mexico Series.
