Rev Racing’s ARCA Duo Ready for ARCA Menards Series Championship Weekend
October 2nd, 2024
Concord, NC – Rev Racing’s Andres Perez de Lara and Lavar Scott are prepared to take on Toledo Speedway in the last event of the 2024 ARCA Menards Series (AMS) season. The Owens Corning 200 will determine the champion for the 2024 AMS and will showcase 200 laps of competition.
Perez is returning to Toledo Speedway, having competed their last season in the AMS where he qualified and finished 4th. Last weekend, Perez competed at Kansas Speedway for the second time this season. Early damage caused adversity and resulted in an early finish. However, Perez continues to lead the board in the AMS point standings, holding a 35-point lead over Rev Racing teammate Lavar Scott. “Last week was disheartening but the No.2 Max Siegel Youth Foundation Chevrolet team didn’t give up. We learned and ensured our point lead. Our eyes are on Toledo and earning the championship,” said Perez. “We have been consistent and strategic this season, we have one more chance at parking the No.2 in victory lane. I plan on giving my all.”
Scott, piloting the No.6 Special Smiles Chevrolet, found success at Kansas Speedway, qualifying 8th, and finishing 3rd. Scott will be debuting at Toledo Speedway, this being his first AMS national season. Currently, Scott holds 2nd in the standings 35 points behind Perez. “We have had a successful debut season,” said Scott. “We have competed up front, contended for wins, and I’ve learned a lot. We have one more chance to bring home a win for Rev Racing this year and I plan on giving it my all.”
The Ownes Corning 200 is scheduled for this Saturday, October 5th. The 100-mile event will start with practice at 11:45 AM ET followed by qualifying at 1:00 PM ET. An autograph session on the front stretch will be held at 2:15 PM ET before the start of the championship race at 4:10 PM ET. The entire race will be live on FS2, MRN, and Rev Racing’s social media.
