Rev Racing and Sanchez looking for results in Atlanta

Rev Racing and Sanchez looking for finishing results in Atlanta

Nascar Craftsman Truck Series

March 13, 2023

Concord, NC — After the unfortunate ending to the Victoria’s Voice 200, at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Sanchez and team are focused on a result that matches their capabilities. The second race of the season ended early due to the damage on the No. 2 Gainbridge Chevrolet that proved to be irreparable. After moving from 2 laps down back into the top 15, a late race tangle ended all hopes of a top 10 finish. Despite the results, the team is extremely hopeful in regards to future outcomes. In just two starts, Sanchez has started on the pole in the season-opener at Daytona and next to Kyle Busch on the front row in Las Vegas. He has also led multiple laps in Daytona and early on in the Vegas race before the night came to an early close.

Crew Chief Danny Stockman and Sanchez garnered everything they could from the last two races and remain focused on results to come at Atlanta Motor Speedway. Sanchez is set to take to the track on March 18th, where the race is scheduled to begin at 2:00 PM EST. He will be behind the wheel of the No.2 Gainbridge Chevrolet for the third time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS).

“Atlanta is going to be different,” said Sanchez. “It’s a mix of a 1.5 mile track and a Super Speedway, therefore, I will be learning to balance both of those styles of racing. I have never raced at Atlanta, but I am excited to see the grip level change and the track wear from last year’s spring race.” Sanchez went on to mention the team, “Danny Stockman and the entire No. 2 team have been putting in the work and continue to keep pushing to find more speed, which I think will show in this 5 week stretch of racing beginning in Atlanta.”

Sanchez reflected on Las Vegas: “As for Vegas, it was a race of trial and error and I built up a pretty good notebook from the experience. I’m excited to take what I learned and apply it to the rest of the races.”

Since this marks Sanchez’s first visit to Atlanta Motor Speedway, the team is hopeful to get a good qualifying result in place despite no practice session on the NCTS schedule. Qualifying will begin at 3:05 PM EST. The green flag will wave at 2:00PM EST on Saturday (18th) for the start of the Fr8 208. Drivers will race 135 laps around Atlanta Motor Speedway. A distance of 208 miles around the 1.54 mile track. The race will be broadcasted on FS1, MRN, and SiriusXM.

Menards 200 For The Arca Menards Series

Concord, NC-  Rev Racing is ready for the second race of the ARCA Menards Series (AMS) and season opener for ARCA Menards Series West at Phoenix Raceway for the General Tire 150  where they will field two drivers, Andres Perez de Lara behind the No. 2 and Jack Wood behind the No. 6. Perez and Wood will take to the 1 mile long track on March 10th, 2023, for 150 laps. This will be the fourth time AMS takes to Phoenix Raceway since 2020, and the 50th time AMS West returns to this host track. The team is looking to capitalize on their momentum from the 2022 season after securing the AMS championship with driver Nick Sanchez, driving the No. 2 Gainbridge Chevrolet.

Rev Racing collectively garnered 3 wins, 17 top 5’s and 30 top 10’s throughout the 2022 AMS season. Last week in the Daytona 200, Rev driver Lavar Scott finished 4th while Jack Wood was able to secure an 8th place finish, up 28 spots from his start at the beginning of the race.

This is the start of the season for Perez who, unfortunately, did not meet age requirements in Daytona. While this is Perez’s debut race with Rev Racing, he is no newcomer to the AMS. Perez has formerly raced at Bristol Motor Speedway in 2022, securing a top 10, and competed twice in the AMS West garnering two top 10s. Perez was also a Series Champion of the 2020 NASCAR Mikel’s Truck Series and the 2022 season champion of the NASCAR Mexico Challenge Series making him the youngest winner in the Series.

“I’m extremely excited to finally start this year’s season at Phoenix.” Said Perez de Lara. “The whole team has been working hard together and I believe we are ready for Phoenix where we should see good results from start to finish.” Perez seems calm and confident about the upcoming weekend.

The No. 6 WB/Velocity Racing Chevrolet will be piloted by Jack Wood as he comes off of a top 10 finish in Daytona. This will be Wood’s second race, out of seven, with Rev Racing for the season and his second time at Phoenix Raceway in the AMS. “I’m looking forward to heading to Phoenix,” said Wood. “It’s probably the track where I have the most experience and I think it’s a good way to break up the gaps in the Truck Series for me.” Wood went on to mention ‘home’ stating “I look forward to being back at a track that’s somewhat close to home and I’m ready to put together a good weekend.”

The General Tire 150 will serve as the season opener for the ARCA Menards Series West, offering points for both AMS West and AMS. Raising the stakes even higher, the winner of the 150 mile race will be credited for a win in both series. Perez and Wood are set to take the track for a final practice at 5:00 pm EST before qualifying starts an hour later. Perez and Wood will start their engines just before 8:00 pm EST.

Both drivers practiced on Wednesday, at Hickory, in preparation of the upcoming weekend events.  “We were very pleased at the end of our practice day. We believe with this field full of champions, a pair of top 10s would be a successful day, but ultimately, always going for the win,”  said Carroll.

Drivers will start the race day with two practice sessions, followed by qualifying at 4:10 pm and racing activities set for 6:00 pm. Follow the action on FloRacing.

Rev Racing and Nick Sanchez ready for Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Rev Racing and Nick Sanchez ready for Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Nascar Craftsman Truck Series Nextera Energy 250 Qualifying

March 1, 2023

Concord, NCAfter weather put a damper on Rev Racing’s debut in Daytona, Nick Sanchez and the team are ready to get back to action at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for the Victoria’s Voice Foundation 200. Sanchez is set to take the track Friday, March 3rd at 9:00pm EST where he will pilot the No. 2 Gainbridge Chevrolet for the second time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS).

Sanchez’s rookie start in the NCTS quickly became one for the history books when he was able to secure the Pole with a 49.478 lap, becoming only the 6th driver ever to secure the pole in their debut.

Sanchez not only secured the pole but finished in the 5th and 4th position in the first two stages, respectively, until a late race pit for minor adjustments and the final caution due to weather ultimately ended the team’s night. Sanchez finished 26th.

“Daytona went pretty smooth,” said Nick Sanchez. “Results didn’t show it for reasons out of our control but most importantly my team and I had a plan and stuck to it. Obviously, I’m still learning how they operate, so I’m constantly conforming to that but for our first race together it went extremely well. In my head, my season starts in Vegas. There’s been a lot of preparation from my team and I and we have high expectations for Friday’s race.”

This will be Sanchez’s second time at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, where he competed last year in the NASCAR Xfinity Series in October. During that race, Sanchez started 20th and finished 12th. Sanchez is ready to continue his momentum from Daytona and his experience at the track last year.

“Our results in Daytona certainly didn’t demonstrate where we were capable of finishing,” said Danny Stockman, Crew Chief of the No. 2. “Despite Nick’s rookie status in the series, we are increasingly impressed with Nick’s commitment and passion for honing his craft. We are looking forward to Vegas and feel very confident that we will yield good results.”

Sanchez will take to the track Friday on the 1.5 mile track where the race will last 124 laps and over 200 miles. Qualifying will take place at 2:05 PM, local. The race will broadcast live on FS1, the Fox Sports App, and receive coverage on MRN and SiriusXM.

Sebastian Press Release Self Image At Phoenix

February 21, 2023 (Winston-Salem, NC) Back behind the wheel for his third season in the ARCA Menards Series West (AMSW), is Sebastian Arias who has committed to two races this season, BradyIFS as his sponsor.  BradyIFS, one of the nation’s premier distributors of food service and janitorial products, has committed to supporting Sebastian in Sonoma this June and the final race in Phoenix this November.

Sebastian is excited to partner with Rev Racing and BradyIFS for these two races and hopes there are many more to come. Work is currently being done to secure two more race opportunities with the team in the ARCA Menards Series, as another sponsor is looking to support Sebastian as he rises in the sport. The 2022 ARCA Menards Championship winning team has proven they have what it takes to run up front consistently and that is where Sebastian wants to be.  Sebastian said, “This is the start of a great relationship with Rev Racing, and I want to thank Max Siegel for giving me this opportunity.  We are looking for more races in the main ARCA Menards Series this year and possibly in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.  I am blessed to be in this position, and I appreciate the work being done by Max, Rev Racing and my manager Ryan Johnston.”

Over the last 20 years, Siegel and Rev Racing have made tremendous strides to increase diversity in racing by offering opportunities to women and minorities, including over 125 drivers, over 100 pit crew members, and more than 20 interns and young professionals.

“We are excited to offer Sebastian the opportunity and infrastructure to support his racing efforts in these ARCA Menards Series events,“ said Rev Racing owner Max Siegel. “We have proven success in the Series and welcome opportunities that align with our mission and goals as a championship-winning race team. As we have kicked off the start of the 2023 AMS season, we continue to be positioned for competitive excellence and look forward to successful outcomes with Sebastian. ”

This will be Sebastian’s second time at Sonoma Raceway where last year he started 13th and quickly made his way through the field up to 5th when he had nowhere to go as two cars intentionally got into each other, with one spinning in front of Sebastian, which ended his day.  Sebastian will be heading to Phoenix Raceway for the fourth time in his career and is excited to have a solid car and crew to compete up front.  Sebastian is thankful for BradyIFS in providing this opportunity for him and would also like to thank Rubbermaid Commercial Products, Betco, Wiley X, BeyondEnergy, SPARCO, Next Level Racing and Thrustmaster for their continued support.

Sebastian is a first-generation race car driver from Bogota, Colombia.  At twenty-four years old, he is the next Colombian driver coming up the ranks of NASCAR since Juan Pablo Montoya.

Owned by NASCAR, the ARCA Menards Series is a proving ground and rung in the ladder to reach the pinnacle of their sport, the NASCAR Cup Series.  Sebastian is working his way to the NASCAR Xfinity and Cup Series and knows his sponsors are more than a blessing in his journey.

Follow Sebastian at @sebastianariasracing and watch his progression as he climbs the ladder of NASCAR.

Jack Wood and Lavar Scott to make Rev Racing debut in AMS opener at Daytona

February 9, 2023

Concord, NC — Rev Racing prepares for the ARCA Menards Series (AMS) season opener at Daytona International Speedway (DIS), fielding two entries who will compete on the 2.5-mile tri-oval in the Daytona 200. Rev Racing will field Lavar Scott, ARCA Menards Series East full-time driver and Jack Wood, part-time NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) driver at Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM). The team capped off their 2022 season as the AMS Driver Champions with Nick Sanchez, driver of the No. 2 Gainbridge Chevrolet.

Rev Racing collectively garnered 3 wins, 17 top 5’s and 30 top 10’s throughout the 2022 AMS season. Rev Racing looks to carry the momentum into 2023 as contenders of the 2023 AMS title.

Jack WoodWood, who is a newcomer to Rev Racing, is looking forward to the added seat time to support his part-time NCTS commitments with KBM for 2023. Due to the technical alliance between Rev Racing and KBM, announced last year during championship weekend in Phoenix, the pairing seemed like a natural fit. Wood will run the No. 6 WB/Velocity Racing Chevrolet in Daytona. He is scheduled to run 7 races with the team throughout the AMS season, and potentially more. Wood will also be competing in the NextEra Energy 250 in conjunction with his AMS commitments.

The California native made his NCTS debut at Circuit of the Americas in May of 2021. Wood has tallied 35 starts, including a full season (23 races) in 2022. He will continue to compete in multiple series in 2023 and anchor the No. 51 Chevrolet. He competed in one AMS racing event in 2022 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.

“I’m super excited to return to the ARCA Menards Series this year running a part-time schedule with Rev Racing.” said Jack Wood. “Getting more seat time will be a great platform for me to continue to learn and grow my skill set. Some weekends I’ll be running both ARCA and Trucks and I’ll be able to apply what I learn in the ARCA race to the truck race. Rev is coming off of a really strong season and I’m looking forward to getting onto the track with them and showing what we got!”

LavarLavar Scottt, who is slated to run a full-time AMS East car for Rev Racing is eager for this  experience as he enters his rookie season in 2023. Scott will be returning for his fourth season with Rev Racing as a part of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program. In 2022, Scott earned multiple top 5s and 10s in the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series.

“I am very excited for Daytona and blessed to have the opportunity with Rev Racing and NASCAR Drive for Diversity,” said Lavar Scott. “This series is very different from anything I have competed in, but I trust myself, as well as the team who is always ready for a good showing.”

Andres Perez de Lara, who will compete full-time in the AMS with Rev Racing in 2023, will not meet the age requirements of the Series until the Phoenix race in March.

Wood and Scott will return to AMS action beginning with a practice session on February 16th. General Tire Pole Qualifying will take place on the 17th with the Daytona 200 80-lapper on the 18th. The AMS season-opener will broadcast live on FS1 and the Fox Sports App.

Rev Racing drivers honored at the annual NASCAR Drive for Diversity Awards Ceremony

Concord, NC — In recognition of the individuals and organizations that have advanced diversity, equity and inclusion across the sport, NASCAR announced today the 2023 NASCAR Drive for Diversity Awards recipients during an awards ceremony at the BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, California.

Executives, partners, drivers, crew members and other industry leaders were on hand for the 15th annual event. NASCAR recognized 10 recipients whose commitment to DE&I have contributed to a more diverse and inclusive sport. Two of the honorees were Rev Racing’s defending ARCA Menards Series champion, Nick Sanchez; and Nathan Lyons, who recently earned a year-long opportunity to participate in the team’s youth development program in 2023.

Sanchez received the Developmental Series Driver Award. This award goes to a developmental driver who is a member of an underrepresented population and exemplifies outstanding performance both on and off the race track in encouraging awareness of NASCAR’s diversity, equity and inclusion efforts.

Sanchez, who is going into his sixth season with Rev, will be competing full-time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series for the 2023 season with the support of Gainbridge and Chevrolet. Nick captured the 2022 ARCA Menards Series Championship with wins at Kansas Speedway, Talladega Superspeedway and Michigan International Raceway running the No. 2 Gainbridge Chevrolet.

“It’s an honor to receive the NASCAR Diversity Developmental Series Driver Award,” said Sanchez. “The NASCAR Drive for Diversity Program alongside Rev Racing has played a crucial role in my development as a driver so this award represents not only all the hard work I’ve put in but the work of all the individuals at Rev Racing as well as The NASCAR Diversity Program.”

Lyons was the Youth Driver Award recipient. This award is presented to a young driver between the ages of 8 and 17 years who is a member of a minority population and has encouraged the awareness of DE&I efforts in motorsports all while competing.

“I am so thankful to receive this award,’’ said Lyons. “I am excited for what there is to learn and achieve with Rev Racing and NASCAR Drive for Diversity. Rev has given me a great opportunity to improve as a driver and I’m looking forward to the upcoming season.”

Lyons, age 13, will join the Rev Racing roster for the first time in 2023, piloting a U.S. Legends Car. After moving from Dallas, Texas, to Charlotte, North Carolina, Lyons began racing at the age of 12 in a Bandolero before joining the Rev Racing team.

Screen Shot 2023 01 28 At 8.01.12 AmConcord, NC- Rev Racing added veteran crew chief Jamie “JJ” Jones to their roster as Director of the team’s ARCA Menards Series (AMS) Program. Joining Rev Racing in January 2023, Jones carries over 40 years of professional experience in all four national motorsports series (NASCAR Cup Series, NASCAR Xfinity Series, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, and ARCA Menards Series). Jones will also lead the charge for the No. 2 Max Siegel Inc. Chevrolet piloted by Andres Perez de Lara. Glenn Parker will serve as the Car Chief, who was part of Nick Sanchez’s team winning the AMS Driver Championship in 2022.

“I’m looking forward to this season and working with the drivers here,” said Jones. “We have great cars this year and I’m excited to continue to build upon what they have done here at Rev.”

In 2014, the Virginia native served as crew chief for driver Mason Mitchell as the duo earned the ARCA Menards Series championship. Prior to joining Rev Racing, Jones worked at AM Racing, where he oversaw operations and led the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series program. The highlight of his 2022 season was guiding rookie Max Gutierrez to an eighth-place finish in only his second career Truck Series start. He hopes to continue the momentum with driver Andres Perez de Lara.

“I am really looking forward to working with him (Jones) and learning from all of his experiences he has from the sport,” said Andres Perez de Lara. “I am going to take advantage of what he has to offer and the chemistry we’ll make working with one another.”

Throughout his career, Jones has accumulated the highest of honors – from championships and race wins to poles and countless top-10 results. The veteran racer began his motorsports journey with driver Elton Sawyer and captured the 1995 NASCAR Xfinity Series championship as a car chief with driver Johnny Benson. Jones has worked with top talent at Red Horse Racing, Joe Gibbs Racing, Braun Racing, and MDM Motorsports.

Jones and Perez de Lara participated in the practice session in Daytona on Jan. 13th and 14th. Due to age restrictions, Perez will make his ARCA Menards Series debut, with Rev Racing, at Phoenix Raceway on March 10th.

Following a national and international search, eight talented drivers were selected to the newest class after participating in the Advance Auto Parts Drive for Diversity Combine.

Lavar Scott, Andrés Pérez de Lara, Jaiden Reyna and Justin Campbell are returning to Rev Racing for the 2023 season. Paige Rogers, Eloy Sebastián López Falcón, Caleb Johnson and Nathan Lyons will make their debut in 2023.

Nick Sanchez, who participated in the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program in 2022 and won the ARCA Menards Series Championship with Rev Racing last year, is advancing to the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Sanchez will pilot the No. 2 Gainbridge Chevrolet for Rev Racing with its technical alliance partner, Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM).

Rajah Caruth also graduated from the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program and will be competing full time in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driving the No. 24 for GMS Racing. Caruth is a prominent iRacer who made his transition to the racetrack in 2019.

“We’re excited to welcome our newest class of drivers and be a part of their growth and development,” said Jordan Leatherman, NASCAR’s Director, Diversity and Inclusion. “We’re proud to see Nick Sanchez and Rajah Caruth graduate from the program and start a new chapter in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. Their success reflects their talent and hard work.”

Drivers were selected after participating in the Advance Auto Parts Drive for Diversity Combine held in November of 2022 in Charlotte and South Boston, Va. Participants from the United States and Mexico were evaluated by judges from across the NASCAR industry. Each driver was assessed in different areas from physical fitness and on-track performance to media and marketing skills.

We are extremely energized by the talent we saw this past November at the Combine,” said Max Siegel, Rev Racing Owner. “We look forward to the season ahead and developing this amazing class of incoming drivers. This year’s class represents a talented pipeline of NASCAR’s future stars. Our entire Rev Racing organization is committed to being a championship contending team and one of the premier development programs in NASCAR. We couldn’t be more proud of our accomplishments last season and of Nick and Rajah’s growth. We remain especially thankful to Chevrolet and Gainbridge for investing in Rev’s growth into the truck series with Nick Sanchez. This will be a pivotal year for our organization and this next class of drivers.”

The NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program was created in 2004 to develop and train ethnically diverse and female drivers both on and off the track. NASCAR Cup Series drivers Bubba Wallace, Daniel Suárez and Kyle Larson are alumni of this program, which is operated by Rev Racing in Concord, N.C.

Suárez made history in 2022 becoming the first Mexican-born driver to win a race in the NASCAR Cup Series. A trailblazer in NASCAR, Suárez also made his mark in the sport when he won the NASCAR Xfinity Series championship in 2016. In 2023, Suárez enters his third season driving for Trackhouse Racing, a team owned by Justin Marks and Pitbull.

Wallace is the first Black driver to win multiple Cup Series races. In 2021 he became the first Black driver to win a NASCAR Cup Series race in almost 60 years. In 2023, Wallace enters his third season with the 23XI Racing team owned by Michael Jordan and Denny Hamlin.

Larson is the first graduate of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Program to win a NASCAR Cup Series championship. The Northern California native of Japanese descent won the 2012 K&N Pro Series (now ARCA Menards Series) Championship with Rev Racing. Currently, he’s the only Asian-American driver competing regularly in NASCAR Cup Series.

The 2023 class features the following drivers:

Andrés Pérez de Lara – ARCA Menards Series: The Mexico City, Mexico, native, 17, returns to Rev Racing after competing in the NASCAR México Series and NASCAR México Challenge categories. He is 2022’s NASCAR México Challenge champion.

Lavar Scott – ARCA Menards Series East: The 19-year-old from Carney’s Pointe, N.J., returns to Rev Racing after securing 1st place at Hickory Motor Speedway and his first career win in the NASCAR Truck México Series at Autódromo de Querétaro in Mexico in 2021.

Justin Campbell – NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series Late Model: The 17-year-old Griffin, Ga., native returns to Rev Racing for his third season after earning two top 5s and two top 10s in the 2022 Cook Out Summer Shootout in the semi-pro division.

Concord, NC
Rev Racing, and its’ technical alliance partner Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM), named Danny Stockman as the crew chief for Nick Sanchez and the No. 2 Gainbridge Chevrolet team for the 2023 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS).

Stockman and the former No. 18 crew will lead Sanchez in his rookie NCTS season. The No. 2 team will draw from technical and personnel resources from Rev Racing, Chevrolet and KBM, so that when Nick shows up at the track he has the best possible chance to win.

“I am thrilled to work with Danny and the whole No. 18 team that competed for the championship this year,” said Nick Sanchez. “In the short time I’ve spent with Danny, it’s very easy to see why he’s won numerous races and championships in NASCAR. We seem to already be aligned, finding early synergies to build on during the season. I feel like Danny will elevate my game as a driver and help Rev Racing and myself contend for wins on a weekly basis.”

Under the advisement of Stockman, KBM garnered nine victories across his first three seasons with the team. In 2022, he guided Chandler Smith to three wins and a third-place finish in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series championship standings. The veteran crew chief captured a Truck Series championship with Austin Dillon in 2011 and also won an Xfinity Series championship with Dillon in 2013. The California native has totaled 13 career Truck Series victories to go along with seven trips to victory lane in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Both Stockman, Rev Racing and Sanchez carry a lot of momentum behind them as they enter the 2023 season.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to lead Rev Racing’s first-ever campaign in the Crafstman Truck Series with Nick Sanchez behind the wheel of the No. 2 Gainbridge Silverado as part of their alliance with KBM,” said Danny Stockman. “Throughout my career I’ve had the opportunity to help develop some great young drivers — that’s what I enjoy doing and why I came back to the Truck Series, so I’m really looking forward to working with Nick. From the time I’ve got to spend with him in recent weeks and watching what he was able to do in the ARCA Menards Series the last few years and at the end of last season in the Xfinity Series, I feel like after he gets some seat time to get acclimated to how the trucks drive, he’ll quickly find himself in the mix to win races and fight for a spot in the playoffs.”

Sanchez is a six-year veteran of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program, competing with Rev Racing. He has earned an impressive 31 top 10s, 18 top 5s and 4 wins in his collective AMS career. He ended his rookie 2021 AMS season with a win at Kansas Speedway and 3rd in point standings and finished the 2022 AMS season with victories at Kansas, Talladega and Michigan and the Championship title. Sanchez also balanced a schedule in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS), running a handful of races with B.J. McLeod and Big Machine Racing in the No. 48. Sanchez hopes to continue a partial schedule in the NXS in 2023.

The Rev Racing No. 2 Gainbridge Chevrolet will make its National Series debut in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series, with Sanchez and its technical alliance partner KBM, at Daytona International Speedway on February 17, 2023.

Concord, NC
Rev Racing announced today they will be expanding into the National Series in 2023, fielding a full-time ride in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with its technical alliance partner, Kyle Busch Motorsports (KBM). Nick Sanchez, recent 2022 ARCA Menards Series Champion, will pilot the No. 2 Gainbridge Chevrolet for Rev Racing and owners Max and Jennifer Siegel.

Over the last 20 years, Siegel has made tremendous strides to increase diversity in racing by offering opportunities to women and minorities, including over 125 drivers, over 100 pit crew members, and more than 20 interns and young professionals.

This expansion into the National Series offers yet another platform and pipeline for young drivers to advance to the highest levels of the sport.

Rev Racing has had a collective 26 wins, 119 top 5s, and 232 top 10 finishes in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series/ARCA Menards Series, with drivers finishing in the top 10 in points in every season. Rev Racing holds two Championship titles in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East/ARCA Menards Series, with Kyle Larson in 2012 and most recently with Nick Sanchez in 2022.

“This is a pivotal moment for our organization,” said Rev Racing owner Max Siegel. “With our unwavering focus on a commitment to diversify the sport while putting a model in place to train and prepare drivers for the next level of competition, and because of our strategic partnership with Gainbridge announced earlier this year, we have never been more prepared for this next stage of advancement. Working with our technical partners at KBM and Chevrolet, we know Rev Racing and Nick are positioned for competitive excellence.”

With Rev Racing capturing the 2022 AMS Drivers Championship and KBM standing as one of the most-winningest teams in the Truck Series, the partnership was an optimal choice for continued success as collaborators. Both teams are exploring opportunities to expand competitive alliances with Rev Racing’s ARCA program as well.

“Unofficially we’ve been a part of helping former Rev Racing drivers take the next step in their NASCAR careers in the Truck Series, with Bubba Wallace and Daniel Suárez both getting victories in a KBM truck, so we’re looking forward to aligning with Max, Jennifer and everyone at Rev Racing to now officially be a part of the pipeline for young drivers in their diversity program to continue to advance into the National Series of NASCAR,” said Kyle Busch. “Nick is an impressive young driver, winning the ARCA title this year and has had some solid runs in the Xfinity Series as well, so we’re looking forward to having him be the trendsetter of what we’re confident will be a successful program for many years to come.”

Sanchez has spent five years competing with Rev Racing as a participant of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program. Sanchez has seen success in every level of competition he has participated in, which made him the optimal choice for the dedicated seat.

I’m very excited to continue driving for Max and Rev Racing in the Truck Series in 2023,” said Nick Sanchez.” To be able to join forces with our technical partner, KBM, is a great opportunity for me to learn how to win on a regular basis. Continuing my relationship with Chevrolet and Gainbridge is something that I value greatly and this is seemingly another step in our long-term plan/goal.”

Gainbridge became a partner of Rev Racing this season, and is fully committed to the Rev Racing/Diversity Program and supporting the next-generation drivers, like Nick Sanchez, to drive more diversity into the field of motorsports. Both groups saw immediate alignment in their shared mission and focused-initiatives within the sport and beyond.

“We’re proud to support Nick Sanchez and watch him compete in the more advanced racing series. His tremendous progress is a prime example of how Rev Racing’s Drive for Diversity Program has elevated talented race car drivers,’’ said Dan Towriss, CEO and President of Group 1001, the parent company of Gainbridge. “We are committed to providing ongoing support for the next generation of drivers and driving more diversity into the field of motorsports.’’

The Rev Racing No. 2 Gainbridge Chevrolet will make its National Series debut in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with Nick Sanchez at Daytona International Speedway on February 17, 2023.

Sanchez wins the ARCA Menards Series Drivers Championship in Toledo

Sanchez wins the ARCA Menards Series Drivers Championship in Toledo

Arca Menards Series 2022: Arca Menards Series Shore Lunch 200 October 08

Concord, NC —After a season-long battle, Chevrolet driver Nick Sanchez makes his mark in motorsports by winning the 2022 ARCA Menards Series (AMS) Championship. Sanchez came into Toledo only 2 points up on rival Daniel Dye. He started the race 8th and came home in 6th to clinch his first career championship.

The Championship did not come easy for the No. 2 Gainbridge Chevrolet team, as they were unable to practice due to having to change out the motor before qualifying. The team rallied and with moments to spare were able to qualify and start in 8th position. “I remained calm,” said Nick Sanchez. “We just focused on getting the car in working order so we could go out and run whatever race we needed to win. I am proud of the guys and thankful for all their hard work. I am just happy I could bring this one home for the team and Max and Jennifer and our partners at Gainbridge and Chevrolet.”

Looking back on the 2022 season, Sanchez muscled his way over the course of the season to stay consistent and ultimately capture the title. He earned 3 wins, 10 top 5s 16 top 10s.

After an unfortunate start to the season in Daytona, Sanchez quickly turned things around by having two streaks this season of finishing well in the top 10. In the second half of season Sanchez had a 8 long race streak of top-10 finishes that stretched from Pocono to the second Kansas race. During that time he took his third win at Michigan, and followed that act with a second place finish at Watkins Glen International.

The consistency continued even when the series went dirt racing. Sanchez captured two top 5 finishes in the dirt at Springfield and DuQuoin this year as a dirt rookie. Showing that he can race no matter the circumstances.

The moral of 2022 is, consistency wins championships. Sanchez now adds another trophy to the Rev Racing shelf. His championship win couldn’t have come at a better time for the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program, as they just announced the 13 drivers selected to participate in the Advance Auto Parts Drive For Diversity Combine. The team also launched new partnerships with Gainbridge and Chevrolet throughout the season. Sanchez now becomes the second driver in program history to win a series championship, next to alumni driver Kyle Larson.

Rev Racing looks to capture the ARCA Menards Series Championship

Arca Menards Series 2021: Arca Menards Series #anywhereispossible 200 June 25
#2: Nick Sanchez, Max Siegel Inc. Chevrolet SS

Concord, NC — Rev Racing prepares for the last race of the 2022 ARCA Menards Series (AMS), the Shore Lunch 200 at Toledo Speedway. Last weekend in Salem, Chevrolet Drivers Nick Sanchez finished in 6th position and unfortunately Rajah Caruth retired early due a mechanical failure. This weekend Rev Racing looks to capture the 2022 AMS Championship, and aims to have both cars finish in the top 5 of the Owner standings.

After 19 races in the AMS schedule, Sanchez holds a 2-point lead over Daniel Dye. In the Owner standings, the No. 2 team sits at third place with 882 points, and the No.6 team has 843 points and is just 13 points behind fifth place No. 15 of Venturini.

“I am reflecting on the highs of the season going into the last race of the year,” said Caruth. The rookie has had a busy 2022 spending his first full-time year at ARCA while also stepping in at other various National series races during the season. Caruth was able to show consistency and strong confidence behind the wheel no matter the circumstances.

Caruth demonstrated all sorts of his talent this year and will have one more race to end the 2022 season on a good note. “There were some memorable moments this year, it was great to be running up front at some of the big NASCAR tracks that we were competitive at.” Caruth had some mega-drives and top finishes at Talladega, Kansas, Charlotte, and Bristol. “I’m looking forward to a fresh start next year,” said Caruth.

Caruth will pilot the No. 6 Gainbridge/Max Siegel Inc. Chevrolet and will make his debut at the Toledo Speedway. Caruth summarized his season by stating, “I’ve learned a lot and am interested to reflect on the season in the winter and see how it changed me as a young man.”

Nick Sanchez, current leader of the AMS point standings, is looking to finish his season on a high as the 2022 Champion of the Series. Sanchez would be the first Championship victor at Rev Racing, since Kyle Lason in 2012. “We have worked hard this season and find ourselves in a position to garner this championship,” said Nick Sanchez. “We have also weathered our fair shares of challenges during this season, so we are really just trying to run a smart race and use what we have learned throughout the year to finish strong. Max and Rev Racing deserve another championship and I hope we can make that happen.”

“We are really proud of our progress this season,” said Max Siegel, Owner of Rev Racing. “Both Nick and Rajah have really showcased their talents and we continue to see a tremendous amount of growth and passion as it relates to their craft. We look forward to the outcome in Toledo and hope to be celebrating our accomplishments in victory lane.”

Sanchez has been a true standout this season, compiling an impressive 15 top 10s, 9 tops 10s and wins at Kansas, Talladega and Michigan. Sanchez has also balanced a schedule in the NASCAR Xfinity Series, running a handful of races with B.J. McLeod and Big Machine Racing.

Sanchez will pilot the No. 2 Gainbridge Chevrolet, this Saturday, in hopes of celebrating with Rev Racing sponsors and team. “We have been really fortunate to have the added support of Chevrolet and Gainbridge this year. Their support has been instrumental in the accomplishments we have experienced this season. I have been very fortunate to have had this opportunity with Rev Racing over the past

five years. I would love to be able to give, whoever has supported me throughout my career, this victory,” said Sanchez! Sanchez has also been a participant of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Development Program since he entered into Rev Racing’s youth program in 2017.

Sanchez will kick off the championship weekend at the ARCA Menards Series Championship Press Conference on Oct. 7th, from 1 – 3 pm ET, at the Hilton Garden Inn Toledo.

The Shore Lunch 200 will conclude the 2022 ARCA Menards Series and will take place this Saturday, October 8th, at 4:00 ET on the half mile paved oval in Toledo, Ohio. MAVTV will provide live TV coverage of the race. A livestream will be available on FloRacing and ARCARacing.com.

Rev Racing gears up for the Short Track in Salem

Arca Menards Series

Concord, NC — Rev Racing is back in action after two weeks off of the ARCA Menards Series (AMS) schedule. Chevrolet Drivers Rajah Caruth and Nick Sanchez turn the page to Salem Speedway this weekend, after Caruth came home in 4th and Sanchez finished 12th at Bristol. The Herr’s Snack 200 will give Rev Racing another chance to focus on their short-track racing this weekend and claim points that can help them in both the driver and owner standings as the season gets ready to conclude on October 8th, in Toledo. This week will be another 200-lap test on the 0.555 mile paved oval in Salem, Indiana.

Caruth was able to find his stride again at Bristol. He managed to qualify 7th and finish in the top 5, showing that he could find pace in the car all weekend long. “I spent the break attempting to make the Valleystar 300 and balancing my studies,” said Caruth, a Winston-Salem State University student studying Motorsports management while also being a full-time young driver.

Caruth will pilot the No. 6 Max Siegel Inc-Gainbridge Chevrolet this weekend. “I like the Salem track due to its fast speeds and abrasive surface.” The track at Salem should allow the drivers to reach similar speeds to the previous race at Bristol.

“One of the challenges to short-track racing is managing your race,” Caruth affirmed that his execution will be the key to winning at Salem this weekend. “It’s all about keeping your car clean and your emotions in check,” said Caruth. Caruth looks to follow-up on his performance last year at Salem where he finished third.

With two races left to go and a 5-point lead over Daniel Dye in the ARCA standings, Nick Sanchez is looking to claim the ARCA Menards Series Championship before the season is over. He would be the first driver to win a series championship for Rev Racing since Kyle Larson won the K&N Pro Series East  in 2012 for Rev Racing.

“I feel confident for Salem this weekend,” said Sanchez. He spent his off week from ARACA filling in some part time drives for Big Machine Racing in the Xfinity Series. “I grew and learned alot from running in Texas. I will look to apply what I learned in these last two races,” said Sanchez.

Sanchez will hope to make amends from last year’s race at Salem. He qualified third overall until there was a crash on lap 45 that unfortunately ended his race early. This year he enters Salem as the man to beat, as he prepares for a dog-fight between Toyota’s Daniel Dye and teammate Rajah Caruth for the Series Championship.

The Herr’s Snack 200 marks the nine-teenth race this season and will take place this Saturday, October 1st, at 4:00 ET in Salem, Indiana. MAVTV will provide live TV coverage of the race. A livestream will be available on FloRacing and ARCARacing.com.

NASCAR and Rev Racing Announce Drive for Diversity Pit Crew Development Program Class of 2022-2023

Five Professional-Level Athletes to Join Program Created to Recruit, Train and Place Candidates with Teams Across the Industry

Concord, N.C. (September 15, 2022) — NASCAR and Rev Racing announced today the next generation of pit crew members who will begin training as participants in the 2022-23 NASCAR Drive for Diversity Pit Crew Development Program class. Since the program’s inception in 2009, Rev Racing has continued to recruit top-tier college and professional-level athletes, training them to become the next best over-the-wall crew members in NASCAR.

“We are excited to welcome some of the most competitive athletes and engineers in the nation to our pit crew development pipeline,” said Jusan Hamilton, NASCAR Managing Director, Competition Operations. “Our commitment to the evolution of this pit crew development program continues to allow us to recruit, train and place candidates at the highest levels in NASCAR.”

The pit crew program is part of the overall NASCAR Drive for Diversity Program, which also nurtures aspiring drivers. All programs are geared toward providing opportunities for women and people of color in the pursuit of NASCAR careers. The program currently boasts a total of 60 crew members who perform weekly duties in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series and NASCAR Xfinity Series, as well as 21 full-time graduates in the NASCAR Cup Series.

“We look forward to welcoming this year’s class to NASCAR’s most comprehensive pit crew training and development program,” Rev Racing CEO Max Siegel said. “We couldn’t be prouder of the journey both our pit crew development program and graduates have taken from its inception.”

This year, five former college athletes were selected to participate and train in the 2022-2023 program. Rev Racing and the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Pit Crew Development Program seek athletes from all sports. The program recruitment effort and training are led by Coach Phil Horton, Director of Athletic Performance for Rev Racing. The selection process is based on recommendations from coaches and athletic directors.

“With the expansion of our recruiting efforts across the country, the talent level continues to rise,” Horton said. “Our program continues to evolve and create more opportunities for advancement at a higher level.”

This year, Rev Racing will introduce several new techniques and support tools to its repertoire. These additions include a mental skills integral coaching program led by Shelley Russi, a former D1 NCAA referee and Founder of Third Side Coaching & ref-oloy.com; and Don Vaden, a former NBA Vice President and NBA Finals referee, who currently serves as an NBA Team Consultant and NASCAR spotter.

The Russi-Vaden team teaches sports performance, mental preparation, coping and reflection skills, and provides integrative life management empowerment for current NASCAR Drive for Diversity Pit Crew members throughout the season.

These new integrations are set to support the continued success of its program members and graduates. The program boasts some of the greatest athletes currently participating in the top level of NASCAR. Some of those athletes include Brandon Banks, former UNC – Charlotte and Washington Commanders football standout who is the jackman for the driver of the No. 4 Stewart Haas Racing Ford, Kevin Harvick.

This has also been a banner year for program alumni Jeremy Kimbrough and Jerrick Newsome, both crewmembers for Trackhouse Racing, as well as Marcus Horton and Jorden Paige of 23XI Racing.

Arca Menards Series

Concord, NC — Last weekend in Kansas, Chevrolet drivers Nick Sanchez came home with a second place finish and Rajah Caruth in 12th. Rev Racing continued its dominance at large tracks this year and the runner up finish for Sanchez was enough to earn the General Tire Superspeedway Challenge Championship for the team. This weekend is an opportunity for Rev Racing to improve their short track performance. They will head to the world’s fastest half mile at Bristol Motor Speedway. The Bush Beans 200 will serve as the 18th race in the 2022 ARCA Menards Series season and will conclude this year’s Sioux Chief Showdown.

“I’m looking forward to Bristol, historically Rev Racing has been good there. We have a very competitive banking package and I want to win badly, especially in Bristol,” said Sanchez. A win in Bristol would be another addition to Sanchez’s collection of big wins at notable NASCAR tracks (Michigan, Kansas, Talladega).

Both drivers will play double duty this weekend on the 0.533-mile paved oval, Nick Sanchez will make his debut with Big Machine Racing (BMR).  “Big shoes to fill at BMR, with all the cup drivers they had come through this year. My team expects to win and I want to put my best foot forward in my first race with BMR.”

Sanchez will pilot the No. 2 Max Siegel Inc/GainBridge Chevrolet with Rev, and then No. 48 Big Machine Racing Spiked Chevrolet. This will be Sanchez’s first double duty weekend since Charlotte of this year, Sanchez will compete in three more Xfinity races with BMR at Texas, Las Vegas, and Homestead.

The last two races have not gone in Rajah Caruth’s favor. He suffered an engine problem in DuQuoin. He was able to charge back up the field in Kansas after having a flat tire, but made contact with the wall on lap 98 of the race. However, the rookie is far from giving up on his title hopes. “I Just have to keep going,” said Caruth.

“I’m ready to get back out there and give it my all.” Caruth will pilot the No. 6 Max Siegel Inc./Gainbridge Chevrolet around the oval at Bristol. He will also take part in another double duty weekend, Caruth will pilot the No. 7 Spire Motorsports truck in the Camping World Trucks Series where he will have another opportunity to show what he can do in a competitive car.

Caruth turns the page on to Bristol from last season. “I’m excited to go back to Bristol and improve from my performance last year.” Caruth was able to finish in the top 10 at P6, respectively. Caruth has made the most of his 2022 season so far. He has proved that he is a future star in Motorsports and that he is just getting started, having led the series in point standings up until the last few races.

The Bush Beans 200 will take place Thursday, September 15, at 6:30 p.m. FS1 will provide live television coverage of the race. There will be a live stream of the race on the Fox Sports app, and a live radio broadcast on MRN / SiriusXM (XM channel 391, online channel 981) / ARCARacing.com.

Nascar Camping World Truck Series 2022: Nascar Camping World Truck Series Heart Of America 200 May 14

Concord, NC — Rev Racing left DuQuoin with Chevrolet drivers Nick Sanchez earning a P5 finish and Rajah Caruth retiring early due to an overheating issue, his first DNF of the season. This weekend is an opportunity for Rev Racing to get back on track at Kansas Speedway. The Kansas Lottery 100 marks the 17th round of the 2022 ARCA Menards Series season.

Sanchez, who has won the last two ARCA races at Kansas Speedway, is focused on improving the team’s performance overall to ensure a win.” Our team excels on 1.5-mile tracks. Even though we won the last two races in Kansas, we still could have made improvements to our car, and I’m looking forward to competing for the win this Saturday.”

Sanchez will pilot the No.2 Gainbridge Chevrolet, “I’m keeping my focus forward on Kansas and the next races after.” Sanchez’s mentality remains focused on the current goal and working to win the ARCA championship.

In the first Kansas race back on May 14th, Sanchez and Caruth were able to take advantage of the leaders Corey Heim and Drew Dollar crashing. Both drivers could dominate the rest of the field by having a pure speed that allowed them to secure Rev Racing team owner Max Siegel’s first 1-2 race finish.

Caruth continues to fight this season after suffering an unfortunate retirement in DuQuoin due to his engine overheating. He sits 16 points behind his teammate. However, his retirement last week, combined with the fact Rev has excelled at 1.5 mile tracks this year, is enough to fuel Caruth’s competitive fire for Saturday’s race.

“I feel like we are the one to beat this weekend,” said Caruth. He has trust in himself and the team that they will turn up to compete once again. “I feel extremely confident, the highest it’s been all year,” said Caruth.

Caruth will pilot the No. 6 Max Siegel/Chevrolet at Kansas Speedway. He will also take part in a double-duty weekend, driving the No. 45 iRacing Chevrolet with Alpha Prime Racing in the Xfinity Series. “It’s truly amazing that iRacing is sponsoring my Xfinity ride. It’s a full circle moment because that’s how I got my start.”

The Kansas Lottery 100 will take place Saturday, September 10, at 6:00 p.m CT/7:00 p.m ET.. MAVTV will provide live television coverage of the race. There will be a live stream of the race on FloRacing, and a live radio broadcast on ARCARacing.com.
