Concord, NC – Rev Racing’s Andres Perez de Lara and Lavar Scott are gearing up for the Smartcoat 150 at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course in the ARCA Menards Series(AMS) season. Perez, behind the wheel of the No.2 Max Siegel Inc. Chevrolet, returns to Mid-Ohio after a competitive showing last season. Despite qualifying 5th and battling for the lead, mechanical issues resulted in a 15th place finish. Currently leading the AMS points standings and coming off a 6th place finish at Iowa Speedway, Perez is eager to compete again at a road course.

“I’m excited to be back on a road course in the AMS,” said Perez. “We showed competitiveness here last season, and I believe we can show that performance again. The variety of tracks in the series keeps us on our toes with different strategies and skill sets, so I’m ready to showcase our team’s talent on another racing surface this season.”

In contrast, Scott will compete for the first time in his career on a road course. Having competed in the AMS East last season without road course experience, Scott, currently 3rd in the AMS standings, aims to secure a strong finish to elevate the No.6 Max Siegel Inc. Chevrolet to 2nd place in the standings.

“Admittedly, it’s my first time on a road course, so there’s some nervous excitement,” Scott confessed. “However, I’ve been preparing on the sim with our Chevrolet partners and having conversations with talented road course drivers. We’ve discussed shifting points and strategic maneuvers specific to Mid-Ohio. I’m confident in our preparations and look forward to a successful debut on this road course.”

Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course, in operation since 1963, will test the Rev Racing ARCA duo with its 13 turns and 2.25 miles per lap layout, capable of accommodating up to 75,000 spectators.

Practice and qualifying for the Smartcoat 150 are slated for 12:35 PM ET, with the race commencing at 6:20 PM ET. The event spans 42 laps and 94 miles. Fans can catch all the action live on FS1, MRN, and Rev Racing’s social media platforms.
