Mark Green, Director of Driver Development

In the beginning of this year, Mark Green was promoted to the director of driver development at Rev Racing. Mark Green began his racing career in 1973, racing go-karts in the Southern Indiana Racing Association. During his tenure, he won six consecutive championships. He then moved on to the late model division at several local speedways. Tracks where he competed included Nashville Speedway USA, Beech Bend Raceway and Kentucky Motor Speedway. From 1988 to 1991, he also competed in the All-American Challenge Series. In 1993, he won 16 of 20 races at Beech Bend and won the track championships there, from 1991 to 1993. Green ran over 318 races in the NASCAR Busch Series, the current NASCAR Xfinity Series, garnering over 15 top-10s. Green semi-retired in 2011, joining Rev Racing full time in 2012. Most recently, Green was inducted into the 2018 Kentucky Motorsports Hall of Fame.

Green has brought unmentionable impact to the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Program and to the young drivers in development at Rev Racing over the last seven years. Green has always served as a tremendous resource for the team, sharing his vast knowledge of tracks and driver handling.

Green will be leading the driver development of the selected NASCAR Drive for Diversity drivers, providing guidance, safety considerations and track preparation, all while fostering an encouraging learning environment.
