Tri County Speedway
Late Model Stock Car 100 laps
Saturday, July 16th
Qualifying at 4:00 PM ET
Races start at 6:30 PM ET
Lavar Scott
Team: No. 34 NASCAR Technical Institute Chevrolet
“I’m looking forward to racing the new track surface there and competing for a win,” said Lavar Scott. “With new pavement, I think it will be important to drive hard the first 10 laps to get track position. Then save tires towards the end and work your way up to the front.”
Fast Facts: This will mark Scott’s first trip to Tri-County Motor Speedway this year. It will be his second late model race of the summer. Scott is in search to add to his late model accomplishments that included a top 3 finish he earned at Florence Motor Speedway in April and his NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series win at Hickory Motor Speedway last September.
Jaiden Reyna
Team: No. 19 Honda Generators Chevrolet
“I am looking forward to the grip in the corners with the new asphalt, it will help drive-off a lot,” said Jaiden Reyna. “The race will definitely test my endurance, but I am up for the challenge. I am trying to get myself mentally prepared for a long grueling race and a result.”
Fast Facts: This will also be Reyna’s first trip to Tri-County Motor Speedway this year. The 100 lap feature will be the longest race Renya has ever run. He hopes to continue his current streak of finishing in the top 10 after his 2nd place finish at Florence Motor Speedway and P6 at Hickory Motor Speedway earlier this summer.
