Rev Racing Set to Take on The Glen

Concord, NC – Rev Racing’s Andres Perez de Lara and Lavar Scott are headed to Watkins Glen International for the 17th event in the ARCA Menards 2024 season. The General Tire 100 is scheduled for this Friday, September 13th, and is the second road course this season, consisting of 8 turns throughout the 2.4-mile course. 

Andres Perez de Lara is leading the AMS standings, steadily showcasing his consistency. Last week at DuQuoin fairgrounds, Perez was able to finish P.3, after piloting the No.2 Max Siegel Inc. Chevrolet. Perez raced at The Glen last season in the AMS, where he was able to qualify 7th and ultimately finished 12th. “After racing here last season and gaining more experience on road courses this season, I’m confident we will see better results here,” said Perez. “Again, we continue to compete up front, but we are still chasing a win this season. We want to solidify our points lead and strategically earn a win”

In his debut season, Lavar Scott sits 2nd in the AMS point standings, 49 points behind Perez. Last week, Scott finished P.6 during his first visit to DuQuoin fairgrounds, piloting the No.6 Max Siegel Inc Chevrolet. “Last week we were on dirt and this week we are racing a road course, the diverse tracks that the AMS brings test our limits and our talent, its enjoyable,” said Scott. “This is my debut at Watkins Glen, and I am confident we will showcase our determination. I’m excited to continue learning and growing my road course skills.” 

The General Tire 100 is scheduled for this Friday, September 13th, and will start off with an autograph session at 11:30 AM ET. Practice is set for 2:00 PM ET followed by qualifying at 3:15 PM ET. The start of the 100 mile and therefore 41 lap race is scheduled for 5:23 PM ET. The entire event will be live on FS1, MRN, and Rev Racing’s social media.
