Rev Racing carries momentum into the weekend after two top 5’s in Pocono

Img 7110Concord, NC — Rev Racing turned it up at the tricky triangle last weekend. Chevrolet drivers, Nick Sanchez finished second and Rajah Caruth was close behind in fourth, after the race was called early due to darkness. Kicking off the race weekend, Rev will head over to Brownsburg, Indiana for the eleventh round of the ARCA Menard Series (AMS). The Reese’s 200 will take place Friday, 7.29, on the 0.686 oval at Lucas Oil Indianapolis Raceway Park (IRP).

Caruth maintains his lead in the AMS standings with half of the season done. He will once again take on a new race track this weekend and is keen on achieving the best result possible. “I’ve been running laps on my sim rig, being more diligent in my preparation and learning from the stuff I didn’t do well.”

Sanchez has been able to show raw speed the last few races. After a rainy race at Mid-Ohio and the early conclusion at Pocono, Sanchez is waiting for the right opportunity and conditions to take his next win and continue his battle for the championship with his teammate Caruth.

Sanchez was seconds away from General Tire Deliver’s winner, Taylor Gray, before the race ended early. “The strength for our team has been speed, we performed very well and brought the two fastest cars the last few weekends,” said Sanchez. Unfortunately, Jesse Love’s spin in the closing stages prevented Sanchez from making a move on Gray for the win, “Something out of our control happened,” said Sanchez. “I don’t think we could have played any differently, at the end of the day we had a fast car and that is all I can ask for.”

Sanchez will pilot the No.2 Gainbridge Chevrolet at IRP Friday. “As long as we can keep the car fast and handle well, we should be in a good position to win races.” As the team is hopeful to continue to bring a fight to the front rows moving forward with the season.

Rev Racing will also debut their new car schemes at Indianapolis, after announcing Gainbridge as its new primary sponsor. Both the No. 2 and No. 6 Chevrolet will run the new look this weekend.

The Reese’s 200 will take place Friday, July 29, at 6:00 p.m ET. Live television coverage of the race will be provided by FS1. Fox Sports app will live stream the race, and a live radio broadcast will be on MRN/Sirius XM (XM channel 391, online channel 981) and at ARCARacing.com.
