Rev Racing and Sanchez Prepare for Road Course Racing

March 20, 2024

Concord, NC- Following a 2nd place qualifying performance at Bristol, Rev Racing and Nick Sanchez are gearing up for their first road course challenge of the 2024 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) season. The green flag is set to wave on Saturday, March 23rd, at 1:30 PM ET at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA) in Austin, Texas. The Xpel 225 promises 42 laps, each lap spanning 3.41 miles and featuring 9 right-hand turns and 11 left-hand turns. Sanchez will need to harness his stamina and skill as he takes the wheel of the No. 2 Gainbridge Chevrolet on this circuit.

With four races already under their belt this season, Sanchez and the entire Rev Racing team have demonstrated formidable performances, securing two top 5 finishes, including a victory. As they head to COTA, the team is determined to replicate their success and clinch another strong finish.

“We showed great speed during qualifying at Bristol, but unfortunately, our finish didn’t reflect that,” commented Sanchez. “Our strategy for COTA is to qualify strongly and maintain our position at the front, aiming for our second win of the season. This track presents unique challenges with its length and layout, but we’ve proven ourselves on various track types, and we’re ready to showcase our capabilities here.”

Sanchez is no stranger to COTA, having raced at the venue once before in the NCTS. In the 2023 season, he secured 4th place in qualifying before ultimately finishing 7th in the race. The Xpel 225 will kick off with practice scheduled for Friday, March 22nd, at 3:30 PM ET, followed by qualifying at 4:00 PM ET. The 140-mile race will be broadcast live on FS1 and Sirius XM, with real-time updates available across Rev Racing’s social media platforms.
