Pressure Rises as Rev Racing and Sanchez Prepare for Kansas Speedway

September 7, 2023

Concord, NC-Rev Racing and Nick Sanchez are fueled by determination as they prepare for the Kansas Lottery 200! This race marks the team’s last chance to lock in their position in the standings and reach the round of 8. Currently sitting at 8th place in the playoff standings, the team is focused on the best possible stage finishes and end result as they approach the field at Kansas Speedway.

Nick Sanchez is no stranger to the challenges that Kansas Speedway presents. In 2021, he conquered this very track in the ARCA Menards Series(AMS) parking in victory lane, and the following year, he secured a hard-fought P.2 finish. With a season marked by consistent top 10 and top 5 finishes, Sanchez aims to use the experience gained from both the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series (NCTS) and the AMS to park the No.2 Gainbridge Chevrolet in the winner’s circle and a higher standing in the rankings.

Dscf9543This past week has been full of intense workouts, rigorous simulation training, and earnest discussions with mentors. “We’ve been extremely close to victory all season long,” Sanchez admitted. “Everyone in the shop understands the urgency of this moment. A win is not just wanted anymore, it’s imperative this weekend. Our team has a history of delivering under pressure, and I’m determined to provide the results our crew deserves. We’re ready to showcase our full potential on the track, and if everything works out, you’ll see us in victory lane.” Sanchez, in honor of his grandfather, will have “Lelo” on the door of the No.2 Chevrolet in Kansas, honoring cancer survivors and current cancer patients. “Having Lelo on the truck will make a win that much sweeter,” said Sanchez.

The countdown has begun. Practice for the NCTS is scheduled for September 8, 2023, at 3:35 PM ET, followed by a qualifying session at 4:05 PM ET. Sanchez will command the No.2 Gainbridge Chevrolet for 134 laps, spanning 200 miles, all in the pursuit of securing his place in the round of 8. Along with coverage from FS1, Sirius XM, and Rev Racing’s social media channels, Sanchez will have an onboard camera capturing live footage from inside the No.2.
