Concord, NC (June 2, 2017) – This weekend, the NASCAR Drive for Diversity drivers will head to Memphis International Raceway for the first time ever to participate in the K&N Pro Series East and visit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®.

Founded in 1962, St. Jude is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. Rev Racing drivers and staff are extremely committed to learning more about the hospital and how they can help make an impact through education and awareness. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent when the hospital opened to more than 80 percent today and families never receive a bill for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.

“We love partnering with organizations to help bring awareness to their specific cause. Our team and drivers are in a unique position to be seen and heard by a great number of people,” said Jefferson Hodges, Rev Racing Director of Competition.  “Rev Racing is an organization that strongly believes in providing inclusion and opportunities. Being able to put as many eyes as possible on these children and their families is exciting for us and hopefully beneficial to St. Jude.”

Rev Racing drivers will visit the campus on Friday, June 2 before racing on Saturday. They will take a tour of the hospital and learn more about the lifesaving mission of St. Jude.

Series sponsor K&N has also provided tickets to over 50 St. Jude staff and families to attend the Memphis 125 race on Saturday at Memphis International Raceway. One family will also have the opportunity to spend time in the infield with the drivers, receive a hauler tour and meet NASCAR personnel.

“It’s a privilege to engage St Jude in this way and to provide this opportunity to families and staff through our organization,” said Hodges. “It will be a special race. I hope we can continue to be an avenue for exposure and provide support to these amazing institutions.”

The Memphis 125 race will begin 5:50 p.m. on June 3rd.  Questions can be directed to [email protected].
