(CONCORD, N.C.) August 6, 2013 – Ryleigh Lemonds, a Rev Racing development driver, found success at the Jack in the Box Summer Shootout Series at Charlotte Motor Speedway (CMS) this season. She had three top-five, and eight top-10 finishes in 10 races, with an average of 17 competitors running each week. The last two nights of competition proved to be Lemonds best, as she was able to win both of the heat races, and finished fourth in the feature race both nights. She finished the 2014 season eighth in the points standings out of 21 cars.
“I had so much fun competing in the Summer Shootout!” said Lemonds. “I feel like I learned a lot, and I can’t wait to run the Summer Shootout again next year, I feel like this experience is going to help me the rest of the year.”
The 10 year old from Yorktown, VA is running her first season with Rev Racing in the Bandits division of the INEX sanctioned Bandolero Series. During the 2012 racing season, Lemonds competed in 29 races and achieved a record of 10 wins, 27 top-five, and 29 top-10 finishes.
