Falcon Secures Career First Win with Rev Racing

May 14, 2024

Concord, NC- In Saturday night’s Mother’s Day Madness event at Southern National Motorsports Park, Eloy Sebastion Lopez Falcon secured his first career win in the United States, competing in the No.6 Late Model Stock Car with Rev Racing. This also marked the team’s first NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series win this year. Falcon, who originates from Oaxaca, Mexico, also competes full-time in the NASCAR Mexico Challenge Series. Falcon is in his second year with Rev Racing, having competed last season in the Youth Development Program piloting a US Legends Car.

“I’m not surprised that Eloy won because of the progress he has made in such a short time,” said Director of Late Model Programming John Carroll. “He just keeps getting better and better and is 100% focused. I’m looking forward to getting to some other tracks, we’re not done winning.”

After starting on the pole after the invert in the second 40-lap feature, Falcon was able to lead the entire race, holding on to the lead despite having to migrate through two late-race cautions and restarts.

Dsc00825“I am really happy with the performance of the entire team this weekend,” said Falcon. “For me, it is important to win my first race with Rev Racing and it was even sweeter that it was this weekend during celebrations for the Drive for Diversity’s 20-year history. At the beginning of this season, we weren’t running where we wanted, but for the past three races we have been contending for the win and we finally made it happen.”

Falcon came close to winning last season with Rev, having a best finish of P.2 and three top 5 finishes. In conjunction with his second season with Rev, Falcon is competing full time in the NASCAR Mexico Challenge Series. He secured his first win this season in the series at the Super Ovalo Potosino.

Falcon competes in Mexico again next weekend before returning back to compete with Rev Racing. As he continues to compete we encourage supporters to follow along on Rev Racing’s social media accounts as we showcase the young drivers growth.
