Robusto Clinches First Victory for NASCAR Drive for Diversity’s Team This Season

Concord, NC. (April 11, 2018) This past weekend at Texas Motor Speedway, Isabella Robusto took first place in the Young Lions U.S. Legend Cars division in race five of the five race series at the 6th annual Battle at the Big Top. 13 year-old Robusto from Fort Mill, South Carolina, is a second-year member of the NASCAR Drive for Diversity program, running for Rev Racing’s youth program. The Battle at the Big Top (BATBT) is a six-day event, including one day of practice and five days of racing. Robusto also walked away 2nd in overall points, winning 3 poles in six races. Robusto was the only female Legend car driver in attendance and became the first female to win a race in a Legend car at the BATBT. This five-day show brought drivers from North Carolina, South Carolina, California, Iowa, New York, and Nova Scotia. NASCAR Drive for Diversity alumni drivers Daniel Suarez, Darrell Wallace Jr. and Kyle Larson also raced in the NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series this past weekend at the same track Robusto scored her victory. Race five at the BATBT was a national qualifier. Robusto, winner of race five, is guaranteed a starting spot in the 2018 Asphalt Nationals at The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, taking place on October 25, 26 and 27. “TMS is such a fun track! It’s really old and bumpy and each corner is different. I really had to be up on the wheel for every lap,” said Robusto. “I knew I had a fast car after practice on Monday, but I couldn’t believe I got three poles against some of the best competition in the country! But, I came up short of a win all week. Going into the last race, I knew in my heart it was mine. But then we had five restarts (most involving my own brother), so I really started to get nervous. I led every lap, but with five to go I bobbled and got passed. In the end, I battled back with two to go and won.” Robusto first sat in a go-kart at the age of five on an asphalt track in Kershaw, South Carolina.  After a year of seat time, she began racing the kart in club races at Carolina Motorsports Park. Then, she progressed to the US Legends Car series where she began training with AK Performance and Kendall Sellers, and garnered the attention of Rev Racing and the NASCAR Drive for Diversity program. Robusto will join her Rev Racing teammates this weekend for the Zombie Auto 150 at Bristol Motor Speedway for NASCAR K&N Pro Series East second race of the season in preparation of her next race on April 21st at Concord Motorsports Park.

As evidenced by the six drivers announced as part of the 2018 NASCAR Drive for Diversity Development Team, the roster for next year is stacked with emerging young talent ready to make their mark in the sport. The drivers represent a cross-section of backgrounds – both in terms of heritage and driving disciplines – and all share a common goal: To reach the highest levels of NASCAR. “What we’re seeing with these six drivers is a group of very talented racers who have shown the ability on and off the track to excel at the next level,” said Jim Cassidy, NASCAR senior vice president of racing operations. “With an increased focus on seat time and competition among the drivers, we’re looking forward to watching them perform next season.” “We are thrilled with the level of talent that applied for the program, were invited to the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Combine and, ultimately, the six who were selected to drive for Rev Racing in 2018,” said Max Siegel, CEO of Rev Racing. “As we’ve seen the program evolve over the years and produce wins and champions, and help elevate drivers such as Daniel Suárez, Kyle Larson and Darrell Wallace Jr. to the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series, these drivers have the ability and potential to carry that legacy forward.” The 2018 NASCAR Drive for Diversity roster includes a pair of drivers who have been part of the NASCAR Next program, an industry initiative designed to spotlight the sport’s rising stars. NASCAR Drive for Diversity aligns drivers with a team of executives, athletic directors, crew chiefs and mentors tasked with helping them achieve career successes, and thus improving their goal of reaching one of the three NASCAR national series. The 2017 NASCAR season was another banner year for NASCAR Drive for Diversity alumni, as three graduates made a major impact at the sport’s highest level. Kyle Larson earned four wins to establish his No. 42 Chip Ganassi Racing team as a force in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. A contender for Sunoco Rookie of the Year honors, Daniel Suárez this year became the first Mexican-born driver to compete full-time in the sport’s premier series, and in February raced in his first DAYTONA 500. Last month, Darrell Wallace Jr. was announced as the new driver of Richard Petty Motorsports’ iconic No. 43 Ford for the 2018 season. Causey Makes History at South Boston Speedway

Concord, NC (May 22, 2017) – Macy Causey, 16-year-old resident of York County, VA, won at South Boston Speedway in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Late Model Stock Car Division (LMSC) this past Saturday night. Causey, the youngest member in the history of NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity Program, earned her first career LMSC victory, and became the first female to win a LMSC race at South Boston Speedway. Causey survived an early race mishap when then-leader Lee Pulliam’s motor expired, bringing out the red flag for a lengthy clean-up during the first LMSC race of the Bojangles Twin 75s. Causey eventually went on to hold off Brandon Pierce in a two-lap dash to the finish. This highly competitive race had seven lead changes among five drivers. It took an hour and 23 minutes to complete the 75-lap race, with six cautions and two red flags. Causey’s teammate, Madeline Crane, unfortunately was part of a late race caution while running 4th and was unable to finish the first twin or compete in the second. During this first race, Causey managed to hold off three NASCAR Whelen All-American Series National Champions, including Peyton Sellers (one-time national champion), Phillip Morris (four-time national champion), and Lee Pulliam (three-time national champion). Sellers, Morris, and Pulliam also combine for five South Boston Speedway track championships. “It feels amazing,” said Macy Causey. “I’m super excited. I started crying during my interview in Victory Lane. I didn’t know what to do.” Causey is the granddaughter of Diane Teel, the first woman to win a NASCAR-sanctioned race and the first woman from Virginia recognized in the NASCAR Hall of Fame. “To see where NASCAR was when I was racing to now and watching my grandbaby win her first ever late model race is hard to put in words,” said Diane Teel. “Macy has done something so great that I think it will take awhile for her to understand how big of a deal this was. To win at a place like South Boston with all of its history is so overwhelming for all of us to take in right now. And, she did it the right way without wrecking people to win. That’s what was the best part for me.” Causey and her Rev Racing team finished the second Twin in 5th position after being inverted to an 8th place start, due to winning the first Twin. Causey and Crane will be back in action at Hickory Motor Speedway next Saturday, May 27th.

Rev Racing Heads to South Boston

Concord, NC (May 5, 2017) – This Saturday, Rev Racing drivers will take the green flag at South Boston Speedway(SOBO) for the forth and fifth race of the 2017 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East season. The team will travel to the speedway for a day of testing on Friday, before racing the Twin 100s on the .4-mile banked asphalt oval on Saturday. NASCAR Drive for Diversity (D4D) drivers are ready to continue the pattern of success the D4D Program has found at South Boston. In 2011, alumni drivers Darrell Wallace Jr. set the pole and Sergio Peña captured the win. Ryan Gifford also holds the track record for the most top-5s and top-10s at South Boston Speedway in the NKNPSE. Current driver, Rubén García Jr. earned second place and his best NKNPSE career finish at the last race in Bristol. “Rev Racing drivers have found a lot of success at SOBO,” said García. “The two races will be challenging, but with my teams’ previous knowledge of the track and having our car in great shape, we are confident we will have a good finish, if not a win.” Rubén García Jr. (No. 6 NTI/MSI): García will head into this weekend sitting 5th in points. He and his team are focused on another top-finish. Collin Cabre (No. 2 UTI/NTI Toyota): Cabre most recently finished with an impressive 6th place at Bristol Motor Speedway, despite the call of the race halfway due to rain. Driver of the No. 2 UTI/NTI Toyota is currently sitting 9th point standings. Chase Cabre (No. 4 Braille Battery Toyota): Rookie driver, Chase Cabre, still sitting in the top 10 in point standings, is looking forward to South Boston. He and his team are focused on communication and a good qualifying position. Jay Beasley (No. 42 Hart to Heart Breast Cancer Foundation Toyota): Beasley heads into the fourth race of the season with an 11th position in points. Beasley and team are ready to make an impact this weekend. All drivers are looking forward to a test day on Friday, which will allow the drivers and crew to acquire more data and get as much seat time as possible before the green flag falls. Group qualifying will begin Saturdayat 4:00 pm, followed by the autograph session at 5:40 pm and the WHOSYOURDRIVER.ORG Twin 100s at 7:00 pm and 9:30 pm EST.

Rev Racing and the Autism Society of East TN team up at Bristol Motor Speedway

Concord, NC (April 19, 2017) – For the second year in a row, Rev Racing will partner with the Autism Society of East TN in honor of Autism Awareness month. Rev Racing is more than excited to continue to carry out this mission. NASCAR has been a long-time supporter of Autism Speaks, the national organization for the cause. With this partnership, Rev Racing hopes to bring further awareness to this important subject. A group from Autism Society of East TN, including staff, parents and children, will join Rev drivers at Bristol Motor Speedway on April 22nd. Children will meet with drivers, sign autographs, be up close and personal with the race cars, and have opportunities for photographs. Rev Racing will also run the organization’s logo on the hood of No. 42 car, manned by driver Jay Beasley. NASCAR has generously provided tickets to the kids, parents and directors of the organization so they can attend the race after the meet and greet. “I feel extremely honored to be running the decal of the Autism Society of East TN on the hood of my car,” said Beasley. “Having the ability to bring awareness to the fans and put smiles on these kids faces is extremely rewarding.” Both groups welcome these partnerships, as exposure and education assist in advancements for this cause every day. “The timing is perfect as April is Autism Awareness month and we just launched our new Autism Community Center at Beeson Hall in Johnson City,” said Melissa Keeler, Board Member of Autism Society of East TN. “We are providing educational, social and supportive services to anyone, child or adult, affected by autism at this facility. The Autism Society of East TN is very happy to partner with Rev Racing to promote autism awareness and acceptance in the local community.” Autism is a complex neurobiological disorder that typically lasts throughout a person’s lifetime. It is part of a group of pervasive developmental disorders known as Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) that significantly affect how a person perceives the world, interacts with others, and communicates. It is estimated that as many as 1 out of every 68 children born today will be diagnosed with some form of ASD. “It’s a privilege to be a part of Autism Awareness Month in this way and to provide this opportunity to families and children through Rev Racing,” said Siegel. “It will be a special race. I hope we can continue to be an avenue for exposure to racing and young people who are fulfilling their goals, like our drivers.” Rev Racing strives to build awareness among various causes throughout each season. “We love partnering with organizations to help bring about awareness. Our team and drivers are in a unique position to be seen and heard by a great deal of people,” said Max Siegel, Rev Racing Owner and CEO. “Rev Racing is an organization that strongly believes in providing inclusion and opportunities. Being able to expose these children and their families to opportunities in the racing industry is exciting for us and hopefully inspiring to them.” The Rev Racing drivers will participate in the Zombie Auto, beginning at 4:00 pm on April 22nd. The NASCAR Drive for Diversity Pit Crew Recruitment Tour Kicks Off at Alcorn State

Concord, NC (March, 23 2017) – Today, the 2017 NASCAR Drive for Diversity Pit Crew Recruitment Tour will kick off at Alcorn State University, located in Lorman, Mississippi. The NASCAR Drive for Diversity Pit Crew Development Program is a comprehensive training program for aspiring minority and female pit crew members. The program is designed to identify, coach, train and develop minority athletes who possess the skill, ability and attitude to be a successful pit crew member in one of the three NASCAR national series. The recruitment tour will make six stops at universities across the nation to identify minority and female student athletes that have an interest in motorsports and a post-college professional sports career. This program offers any minority athlete the chance to become a pit crew member with a NASCAR race team; if that individual has the necessary talent to reach the highest level (The Monster Energy NASCAR CUP Series) of the sport. “We seek student athletes with a general interest in motorsports, extreme sports, the auto industry, etc. and individuals who possess a strong sense of character and work ethic,” said Coach Phil Horton, Director of Performance for Rev Racing and the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Program. “We understand how athletes are built, and what athletes are capable of when it comes to teamwork, dedication and focus.” The original participant selection process is based on athletes who are recommended by coaches and athletic directors. During the tour, participants will be challenged with drills that showcase their flexibility, agility and strength. Top participants at each of these tour stops could receive an invitation to compete against other competitors for a spot on the 2017 development team. “We are excited to kick off the 8th year of the NASCAR Diversity Pit Crew Program with our combine here at Alcorn State University,” said Jusan Hamilton, NASCAR Racing Operations and Event Management. “This is the second year of the program under this current format and we have already seen great success from those student athletes who made it to the national combine last year. We’re committed to increasing diversity in the sport in all aspects, and we are already seeing great gains up and down pit road in participation from minority and female athletes.” The NASCAR Drive for Diversity Pit Crew Program emphasizes education and training, while redirecting the talents that are already present in these individuals. Exposure to a career in NASCAR could be the next step in a professional journey for these athletes. Over 75 individuals have participated in the program since its inception. The program bodes a 100% placement rate for those who complete the training program. Currently 25 of those individuals have succeeded in reaching the highest level of the sport and have went on to win numerous races and championships in the national series. It takes approximately three years to reach the highest level of the sport at which time the annual salary is between $80 – $100,000 from that point forward. For those who have reached the top level with five or more years of experience, it is not uncommon to receive salaries of upwards of $150 – $175,000 annually. “Alcorn State University is excited to extend our relationship with NASCAR,” said Jason Cable Assistant Vice President for Athletic Compliance and Academic Services. “This partnership will inevitably provide multifaceted opportunities within the sports industry for our student athletes. Exposure to a corporation like NASCAR is priceless for our student-athletes and will positively impact their post student- athlete career.” The participant registration will begin today (March 23) at 11:00 am, with the assessment following at 12:00 pm. All events will take place at the Davey L Whitney Health, Physical Education and Recreation Complex, on the Alcorn State campus. About NASCAR The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, Inc. Rev Racing Heads to South Boston for Season Opener

Concord, NC (March, 23 2017) – When the NASCAR Whelen All-American drivers take the green flag at South Boston Speedway for the inaugural race of the 2017 season, it will mark a new era for Rev Racing. Macy Causey joined NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity Program, under Rev Racing management, as the youngest participant in the history of its Late Model or NASCAR K&N Pro Series East roster. Causey will join teammate Madeline Crane, the returnee from last year’s NWAAS team. The female powerhouse will travel to the Speedway for a day of testing, on Friday, before going to battle in the Twin 100s this Saturday. Although both women have had a sizable amount of experience driving in this series, they will join all other race participants as the first drivers to run on South Boston’s newly paved track in the Speedway’s season opener. The track’s .4-mile oval will pose a competitive angle of speed, narrow straightaways and host post National Series champions such as Matt Bowling, Lee Pulliam, Phillip Morris and Peyton Sellers. “This will be my third trip to South Boston,” said Macy Causey, driver of the No. 33 Five Star RaceCar Body Toyota. “The track was already fast before, and I could not be more excited about the additional speed the paving will provide us during the Twins. The bar is set high with the participating competition and I am ready to get focused and run as hard and smart as I can from the green flag to the checkered.” Macy Causey (driver of the No. 33 Five Star RaceCar Body Toyota): Causey was honored with the NASCAR Young Racer Award in 2016. The year prior, she won the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series Virginia State Rookie of the Year Award and earned top rookie honors at Langley Speedway in Hampton, Virginia, where in 1978 her grandmother became the first woman to win a NASCAR-sanctioned race. Teammate Crane, having a year of experience under her belt, is looking to capitalize on her driver/crew experience and momentum built in the previous year. “It takes the uncertainty out of my performance,” said Madeline Crane, driver of the No. 78 Honda Generators Toyota. “My crew chief knows what I am capable of and we can focus on getting the car where it needs to instead of ironing out our communication strategies and go-to-track plan.” Madeline Crane (No. 78 Honda Generators Toyota): The Georgia native began her career racing Bandoleros at Atlanta Motor Speedway at age 10. Crane, 19, moved into Legend cars, and by the time she was 14 had garnered 59 top-5 finishes in 82 starts. Returning for a second season with NASCAR Drive for Diversity, she will compete in the NASCAR Whelen All-American Series following two top-5 and 12 top-10 finishes in 2016. Grandstand gates open at 12:30 p.m. with qualifying set to start at 1 p.m. The green flag flies on the Danville Toyota Twin 100s, featuring five races in four divisions, at 2 p.m. About NASCAR The National Association for Stock Car Auto Racing, Inc. Brothers and Florida Natives to Race Alongside One Another in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East

Concord, NC (Feb. 15, 2017) – For the first time in its history, NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity team, Rev Racing, will host siblings in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East (NKNPSE). Brothers and Florida natives, Collin and Chase Cabre, were both selected to compete with Rev Racing for the 2017 NKNPSE season. This Sunday will mark the first time the brothers will drive against each other as teammates, and as competitors. Rev Racing, NASCAR Drive for Diversity’s competition arm, hosts four drivers in the K&N Pro Series East, and two in the Whelen All-American Series each season. Through a competitive application process, minority and female drivers are invited to partake in a rigorous combine event, testing their physical and mental racing abilities. Only six drivers are selected from the combine to take a seat in one of the major NASCAR series as part of Rev Racing. The brothers were selected after the combine held last October at New Smyrna Speedway. Collin and Chase began racing in Motocross at the age of four. By the ages of 10 and seven, they were both competing competitively in go-karts at Dirt Devil Speedway in Land O Lakes, FL. The brothers continued to race at different levels and in different series throughout the course of their careers. Collin Cabre recently finished an impressive second season in the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Program, garnering four top-5 and six top-10 finishes as part of Rev Racing. Collin was also a part of the elite 2016-2017 NASCAR Next Class in 2015. In 2016, in his rookie K&N Pro Series East season, he won the season finale at Dover International Speedway and finished 6th in overall point standings. “I believe racing against Chase will be the same as if it was with anyone else,” said Collin Cabre. “We are all going for one goal and that is to win. Beginning my third year [in the NKNPSE], I will mentor him on the driving side of things as much as I can. We have raced against each other in some small Sprint Car races years ago, but it has definitely been a minute. I am excited to see what this season will bring.” Chase Cabre will join his brother on the Rev Racing roster this year after an impressive on-track career, marking the first time siblings will run alongside each other in the K&N Pro Series. Between 2011 and 2013, Chase Cabre earned 12 race wins in 21 starts in a 600 Mini Sprint Car. He was also a two-time Fall Brawl Champion at the Ocala Bullring. In 2016, at Hickory Motor Speedway, he averaged a 4th place finish, as well as setting two poles throughout the season. “Just being able to race in the NKNPSE is an honor in itself, let alone to be a part of such an amazing organization like Rev Racing” said Chase Cabre. “As far as racing against Collin, it’s like just playing Xbox as kids, except it’s more glorified so the stakes are much, much higher. From the Drive for Diversity Program’s start, Rev Racing has had 17 wins, 65 top-5, and 124 top-10 finishes in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, with drivers finishing in the top-10 in points in every season. The Cabres are ready to add to those rankings and have their sights set on the National Series. Rev Racing’s season opener will take place on Sunday, February 19th, 2017 at New Smyrna Speedway. Qualifying will begin at 5:05 pm, followed by the autograph session at 6:30 pm and the Jet Tools 150 at 7:30 pm EST.

Multicultural and Female Drivers to Compete for a Spot in NASCAR Drive for Diversity Developmental Program

Seventeen Drivers Invited to 13th Drive for Diversity Combine at New Smyrna Speedway DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Sept. 29, 2016) – Seventeen drivers from across the country will compete for spots in the top driver development program in motorsports, NASCAR Drive for Diversity, during a national tryout at Florida’s New Smyrna Speedway from Oct. 10-12. The 13th annual NASCAR Drive for Diversity Combine invites promising ethnically diverse and female drivers from across North and South America to test their skills over a three-day period as NASCAR evaluates talent for the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Class of 2017. “This year’s NASCAR Drive for Diversity Combine will feature some incredible talent and we’re excited to watch these young drivers compete,” said Dawn Harris, NASCAR director, multicultural development. “NASCAR’s first-class development program has produced the likes of Kyle Larson, Daniel Suárez and Darrell Wallace Jr., so it will be fun to see who rises to the top at New Smyrna.” In partnership with Rev Racing, NASCAR Drive for Diversity offers racing opportunities in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East and NASCAR Whelen All-American Series for one full season, providing drivers with equipment, mentoring, and competition experience. “This is an unbelievable opportunity for these up-and-coming drivers; something I am very proud to be a part of for the sixth-consecutive year,” said Jefferson Hodges, Rev Racing director of competition. “To see past Drive for Diversity participants compete across all three NASCAR national series speaks volumes for the solid foundation Rev Racing provides these drivers in their budding careers.” This year, there are 13 female drivers competing for spots with Rev Racing. Returning this fall is Macy Causey, who at 14 years old was the youngest combine participant in NASCAR Drive for Diversity history in 2015. Also participating is Hailie Deegan, daughter of Brian Deegan, the most decorated athlete in freestyle motocross history, and Hope Hornish, the niece of 2006 Indianapolis 500 winner and current NASCAR XFINITY Series driver Sam Hornish Jr. Drivers under consideration to return to the team in 2017, but who will not compete at the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Combine, include current NASCAR K&N East and NASCAR Whelen All-American Series drivers: Jairo Avila, Enrique Baca, Collin Cabre, Madeline Crane, Ruben Garcia Jr, and Ali Kern. Collin’s brother, Chase Cabre, is also among the drivers selected to compete in this year’s combine. Driver combine participants will be evaluated on their driving skills and take part in a physical fitness assessment and receive additional training at Bethune-Cookman University. The NASCAR Drive for Diversity Combine has proven successful in identifying and developing future stars of the sport. Current NASCAR Driver for Diversity members have garnered four Top-5’s and 13 Top-10’s combined in the NASCAR K&N East and NASCAR Whelen All-American Series this season and are looking to repeat last year’s season ending victory at Dover International Speedway. Program graduate, Kyle Larson, earned his first victory in the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series this year at Michigan International Speedway. Fellow graduate and NASCAR XFINITY Series driver Daniel Suárez this year became the first Mexican-born driver to win a NASCAR national series race. Suárez and fellow NASCAR XFINITY driver Darrell Wallace Jr., another NASCAR Drive for Diversity alumnus, are currently competing in the first NASCAR XFINITY Series Chase. Looking for the Same Outcome at “The Monster Mile”

Concord, NC (September 28, 2016) – After thirteen races and eleven states, Rev Racing will find their way to the final race of the K&N Pro Series East Season at Dover International Speedway, better known as “The Monster Mile.” This monster, “Miles”, built of a concrete one-mile oval with banking of nine degrees on the straightaways and 24 degrees in the turns, has historically presented some of the best moments in NASCAR Drive for Diversity (D4D) history. With multiple wins, pole settings and numerous top-5 and top-10 finishes, D4D present and past drivers have proved themselves at this track. Most recently, Collin Cabre, a rookie driver in the 2015 season, won the season closer at Dover with next to no track time (weather related) or experience at the Speedway. Needless to say, Rev drivers and crew are ready to take on Miles to finish out the season with the same momentum and success. This weekend, the K&N Pro Series East will close with the Dover 125, on Friday, September 30. This will mark the eighth time since 2004 that Dover International Speedway hosts the final race of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East season. Collin Cabre (No. 2 UTI/NTI Toyota) – Cabre, who is currently sitting 6th in points, has steadily been improving in standings each race. With four top-5s and six top-10s this season, Cabre is hungry for the same result he found in 2015. The No. 2 UTI/NTI driver has earned four top-5 finishes in his last six races. “We are approaching this race the same as last year,” said Cabre. “The car is in a really good spot set-up wise and we are all just eager to hit the track. It looks like rain again this year, so I am fine with just racing if it earns us the same outcome. We experienced some unlucky moments in the beginning of the year, but feel good overall about the growth we have had in the car. I am appreciative to my team and the program for the opportunity. Let’s hope we can bring home the win.” Ruben Garcia (No. 6 Sunoco Toyota) – Ruben Garcia, sitting 11th in points, approaches this weekend ready to break into the top-10 in standings. Garcia has earned five top-10’s this rookie season. Garcia will drive the No. 6 Sunoco Toyota this weekend and hopes to be part of the historically success the past D4D drivers have found at this track. Ali Kern (No. 4 Honda Generators Toyota) – Kern, who is currently 13th in points, will drive this year’s 2016 NASCAR Drive for Diversity’s Combine sponsor, Honda Generators, branding on her car this weekend. Kern hopes to add a top finish to her resume as her rookie season will come to a close. Enrique Baca (No. 42 Rev Racing Toyota) – As Baca and team prepare for Dover, communication will be at the forefront of their track strategy. Baca, entering the No. 42 just two races ago, is challenged with a new track experience, series and crew. This Monterrey, Mexico native is eager to prove himself and garner a solid finish with his team. Two-lap qualifying for the DOVER 125 will be on Friday, September 30th at 12:35 p.m., followed by the race at 5:00 p.m. Follow @RevRacin on Twitter for live race updates.

NASCAR Drive for Diversity Driver Combine Moves to New Smyrna Speedway

The 2016 NASCAR Drive for Diversity (D4D) Driver Combine, sponsored by Honda Generator, will take place October 10-12 at Florida’s New Smyrna Speedway, Rev Racing announced today.

NASCAR and Rev Racing competition directors and staff will host the multi-day tryout to evaluate multicultural and female drivers from around the globe, and identify which drivers will have the opportunity to compete as part of the 2017 D4D driver class.

This is the first year New Smyrna Speedway will host a D4D combine. The high-banked half-mile has seen visits from several Rev Racing drivers during the season-opening NASCAR K&N Pro Series East race each February, including a win by current NASCAR XFINITY Series driver Daniel Suarez in 2014.

New Smyrna Speedway is a NASCAR Whelen All-American Series track and hosts the annual World Series of Asphalt Stock Car Racing each February. The track will also host the Hart to Heart Breast Cancer Foundation Super Late Model 100 on October 29.

Each year, D4D host tracks and sponsors have contributed greatly to the success of the combine event.

“We have watched the diversity program for years and are excited to the host the combine this year,” said Kim Brown, general manager of New Smyrna Speedway. “I believe it will bring a lot of exposure to the track as well as the city of New Smyrna Beach.”

Honda Generators will also come on board this year as the primary sponsor of the 2016 NASCAR Drive for Diversity Combine. Honda Generators has been a long-standing season sponsor of Rev Racing through a product exchange program with the race team since 2014. Honda’s series of portable generators will be part of the track-side action – providing the crew and drivers durable and dependable power throughout the entire combine.

In addition to the on-track performance evaluations that will take place at New Smyrna Speedway, the combine participants will be evaluated on physical fitness by pit crew coach Phil Horton at nearby Bethune-Cookman University.

Bethune-Cookman will make its athletic facilities available for Coach Horton and staff to test both the endurance and strength of athletes hoping to secure a spot on the 2017 NASCAR D4D driver roster.

Additionally, Rev Racing and NASCAR staff will work with Bethune-Cookman mass communications students for a hands-on learning exercise engaging combine participants. The students will conduct mock media interviews with the athletes and also take part in social media activities and broadcast opportunities from New Smyrna Speedway during the combine.

Rev Racing continues to look for opportunities to improve the D4D combine and driver experience, as well as engage other institutes that hold the same values and diversity initiatives.

“We are extremely proud of the relationships that we have fostered with our various partners,” said Rev Racing owner, Max Siegel. “We look forward to continuing these relationships and look for areas of growth for many years to come. The new 2016 combine partners will not only benefit the participants, but offer a new experience to repeat participant drivers.”

This year’s 2016 combine sponsors will include, Honda Generators, New Smyrna Speedway, Five Star Race Car Bodies, Bethune-Cookman and host hotel Perry’s Ocean Edge Resort. Rev Racing also thanks Drive for Diversity partners NASCAR, Sunoco and Goodyear for the continued support during the combine and the entire 2016 season. It is through the positive relationships with partners and sponsors that Rev Racing is able to experience success year-in and year-out.

For more information on sponsorship opportunities, please contact Christy Gormal at [email protected]

A New Track Experience for Rev Racing

Concord, NC (September 14, 2016) – This weekend, the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East will head to New Jersey Motorsports Park (NJMP) in Millville, New Jersey, for the first time in series history. This race will also mark the third road course event on the race schedule this season. Although this new location poses a new challenge, Rev Racing drivers might have the experience needed for some top finishes in the JUSTDRIVE.com 125.

Collin Cabre (No. 2 UTI/NTI Toyota) – Cabre, who is currently sitting 7th in points with three top-5s and five top-10s this season, hopes to have the same outcome as the last road course race at Watkins Glen International. Cabre finished fifth at The Glen for his best career road course finish. With just one more race on the schedule, after NJMP, Team No. 2 is focused on high finishes to improve the end of year point standing placement.

Ruben Garcia (No. 6 Sunoco Toyota) – Ruben Garcia, sitting right outside the top-10 in points, approaches this weekend ready to put his experience to the test. Garcia, who has a tremendous amount of road course experience from driving in Mexico, feels a sense of comfort, even though he has never raced this course.

“I plan to take all of the experience I have gained this year in the K&N car and combine that with my road course background to achieve the finish we want,” said Garcia. “The car is in a really good spot and I think this is the best opportunity we have had all season for the win.”

Top College Athletes Join NASCAR Drive for Diversity Pit Crew Program

D4D Pit Crew Combine

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (Aug. 17, 2016) – NASCAR and Rev Racing today announced nine former college student-athletes selected to participate in the NASCAR Drive for Diversity (D4D) Crew Member Development Program. The new class of participants received invitations to train with Rev Racing following standout performances at the first national D4D pit crew combine in May. Multicultural athletes starring in football, basketball and softball at the college level will receive expert training as tire changers, carriers and jackmen, with the goal of gaining fulltime employment with NASCAR national series race teams. “We’ve assembled a very talented group of athletes that we believe has what it takes to excel on pit road in NASCAR,” said Jim Cassidy, senior vice president of racing operations. “Each D4D participant will benefit from Rev Racing’s best-in-class training program, and we look forward to watching them grow and develop over the next 12 months.” This year NASCAR and Rev Racing revamped the crew member scouting process, hosting tryouts at six universities across the country. Eighteen men and women from 12 states and one U.S. territory were selected to compete in the national combine in Concord, N.C. Half earned invitations to join the D4D pit crew program. “We are very excited for the arrival of the new 2016 Drive for Diversity pit crew recruits,” said Max Siegel, owner and CEO of Rev Racing. “With the national combine and recruitment effort this past year, we were able to select the top level of athletic talent. We look forward to training these individuals and placing them along pit road in the national series. Our academy-style approach to training continues to show success year after year; this class will not fall short.” Among the new D4D participants are three former football players from the University of Kansas, one of the schools to host tryouts. Appalachian State’s Jeremy Kimbrough, who spent time with the Washington Redskins, and Joshua Tate, an All-American at Clark Atlanta University, are also looking to transition from the gridiron to NASCAR. A pair of female athletes in former Norfolk State basketball player Brehanna Daniels and former Alcorn State University softball player Breanna O’Leary will train as tire changers under the tutelage of Phil Horton, Rev Racing’s director of human performance. There are 35 graduates of the D4D Crew Member Development Program currently working in NASCAR. Three alums – Raphael Diaz, Kevin Richardson and Richie Williams – celebrated in Victory Lane as members of Chris Buescher’s pit crew after the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver won his first premier series race at Pocono Raceway on Aug. 1. Last November, Diaz and Roush Fenway Racing teammate Mike Russell became the first D4D graduates to win a national series championship when Buescher clinched the 2015 NASCAR XFINITY Series championship. The NASCAR Drive for Diversity program, under the leadership of Rev Racing, supports both crew member and driver development opportunities. Driver graduates include NASCAR Sprint Cup Series driver Kyle Larson, and NASCAR XFINITY Series drivers Daniel Suarez and Darrell Wallace Jr. For more information on NASCAR Drive for Diversity, visit www.NASCARDiversity.com.
