Rev Racing Heads to New Smyrna Speedway for Season Opener

Concord, NC (Feb. 19, 2017) – This Sunday, NASCAR’s Drive for Diversity (D4D) class will return to New Smyrna Speedway for the K&N Pro Series East season opener.

D4D drivers were selected after a competitive combine held last October at New Smyrna Speedway, and will compete for Rev Racing in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. The 2017 class is led by three returning drivers, Collin Cabre, Jay Beasley, and Rubén García Jr. Collin’s younger brother, Chase Cabre, joins as this year’s NASCAR Drive for Diversity K&N East newcomer.

Collin Cabre (No. 2 UTI/NTI Toyota): During an impressive second year in the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Program, Cabre garnered four top-5 and six top-10 finishes, and was a member of the elite 2016-2017 NASCAR Next class. In 2015, he won the season finale at Dover International Speedway and finished 6th in overall point standings in 2016. The 23-year-old from Tampa, Florida, will now return to compete in his third season with Rev Racing in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East.

Rubén García Jr. (No. 6 NTI/MSI): Returning for his second season with Rev Racing, Rubén García Jr. brings his talents back to the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. During his 2016 – 2017 season, García balanced racing in the NKNPSE with succeeding in the Super Copa TELCEL. At age 20, the Mexico City native won four races in the NASCAR Mexico Series en route to his first NASCAR championship. This victory marked him as the youngest NMS driver to win the series championship.

Jay Beasley (No. 42 Hart to Heart Breast Cancer Foundation Toyota): In his first season with Rev Racing in 2013, Jay Beasley earned two top-5s and five top-10s. Beasley remained with the program in 2015 and finished the year with three top-5s and five top-10s. He will return this year to the Drive for Diversity Program for his third season.

Chase Cabre (No. 4 Braille Battery Toyota):
Chase Cabre will join the Rev Racing roster this year and run in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East. Cabre started racing at the age of four in motocross and has found success on the track ever since. Cabre and his brother, Collin, will be the first sibling teammates to run together in the NASCAR Drive for Diversity Program.

Under Rev Racing owner and CEO Max Siegel’s leadership, NASCAR D4D aligns drivers with a team of executives, athletic directors, crew chiefs and mentors tasked with helping drivers achieve career successes. “We are excited to get the season started at New Smyrna Speedway,” said Siegel. “This year’s class brings both experienced and rookie drivers. Our ultimate goal with every class and experience level is to prepare them for success at the K&N level and eventually the national series. Every year presents new opportunities for growth and we look forward to finding what we are capable of this season.”

From the Drive for Diversity Program’s start, Rev Racing has had 17 wins, 65 top-5, and 124 top-10 finishes in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East, with drivers finishing in the top-10 in points in every season.

Rev Racing will get back to the track on Sunday, February 19th, 2017 at New Smyrna Speedway. Qualifying will begin at 5:05 pm, followed by the autograph session at 6:30 pm and the Jet Tools 150 at 7:30 pm EST.
